Thanks John....I have tried it with several colours and they all worked well except black which remained streaky no matter how much I mixed the ingredients together. It doesn't really matter as you can stitch out most designs with a black outline anyway.
Yes! Great video and always looking for new, inventive ways for enhancing embroidery. And saving money is a great plus. Thank you, James, for the video!
You barely rubbed it under the water. What about machine washing? Will it stand up to multiple washings with other clothes? Can this paint be put in a squeeze bottle and used like Tulip paints? Duncan doesn't seem to be making my favorite color of fabric paint anymore (metallic golden brown), and I want to try and make a substitute.
Because of the Coronavirus I can’t buy shaving foam ( I don’t have any ), since I can’t go out of my house. Is there any replacement I can use instead of shaving foam??
can this same technique be used, mixed with water, if I want to make fabric dye? textile medium is so pricey for the size & how much of it u need for 1 use that it doesnt even save u money compared to just buying fabric dye.

I would assume using a professionally made product specific to your purpose would give the best results, this is just a cool DIY idea to play with :)

Ohh l like it and I will try for canvas painting
If I add water to the mix and use it as a tye dye will it still work or just as paint
So why does my fabric paint crack and peal?
because it`s only the glue holding it to the fabric it is clearly going to flake off if the fabric moves so it is probably meant for wallart
Too dry... Add oil base only a little!
Also.. try craft glue then basic white glue
@@angellizd5975 do u mean add an oil based paint?
Glycerine water and vinegar is another way I just leaned
Hey Keiko, thanks for the alternative, Do you know the ratios ? Have you tried it ?
Because of the Coronavirus I can’t buy shaving foam ( I don’t have any ), since I can’t go out of my house. Is there any replacement I can use instead of shaving foam??
Unfortunately I'm not sure what else would work. Hope you're staying safe! :)
John Deer's Embroidery Legacy yup I’m staying safe! Hope everyone stays safe too
Iittle late but im pretty sure you could use fabric softener!

Can soap be used? Like whipped soap suds.

Nice idea... Gouache would work?
Hmm, followed the steps. I must have done something not right, so much work lost, all came off🧐
Why shaving foam? Machine safe? Its so hard to imagine haha

Can you also use a hairdryer?
I'm sure that would work if you get it hot enough :)
