Thank you so very kindly and greatly appreciated
Very thankful I got to meet Marmaduke one time at a bar in Fort Lauderdale, FLorida. We were the only two sitting at the bar and I got to drink beers and just talk with him for 10 minutes.
Riders were always more accessible to see than the Dead. Miss them. Thanks for the download.
marmaduke was awesome , R I P always John Dawson
Yes he was.
I miss those boys
I went to see the Dead at the Fillmore East and The Riders were the opening band and..I had never heard of them ....LOL RG
The stars aligned & you got lucky - and I'm a bit envious ;)
@@keithbaumback5693 The Fillmore East was in New York City.

"You only need six strings if your real picky." Love it!
i was at the early show and the lateshow - what a night 16 years old fillmore east
Love it!
Haven't heard NRPS for so long! Nice
Very nice, artists such as yourself deserve to get medals for preserving history, sounds like early fusion classic, country, folk, bluegrass, and Bakersfield, what in the world do we call that! Haha TY, Nog
@Randy Ensley Read my post above. Country music on San Jose radio & TV and all that followed. Dawson grew up on that.
One of the best; thanks for posting.
Love those Bobby numbers, especially Me & My Uncle.
yes.. you can sense that young man energy...
How could you not like this I saw the New riders and the dead at the field forum in 71 I'll never forget that show the best they're all the best never show a bad show ever I love the new riders
I discovered this band from one of Joey Diaz’s podcasts and now I’m obsessed with them, gracias Joey
The same for me!Obsession!!!
I listen them ev’ry days !!....and try to play some of their songs!
I used to listen to the church, where did Joey Diaz say he digs this?? No idea he digs country!
when did he mention new riders??!
Joey!!
And a Bobby sit-in!
a mere babe of 22 years...
I may have been to this show. If not a show I saw them open followed by hot tuna & then the GB. good stuff
Beautiful -post !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come sit beside me, I'm not sure if your still there... good times.
Saw New Riders 1969 or 70 at a new record store paring lot,,, orange county.....like them till this day......rite alone with the Dead
Yeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaa!!! 💃🏃
NRPS BUD AND BEER! 😇💨🍺✌
Thanks Gnu!!!
'The ICC is check'in on down the line' - thanks for the post -
Thanks gnu. NIce SBD too. Saw NRPS w/Jerry 5 months later and while there's good copies of that show, this is really nice.
WOW
The Cards from the Bottom with Weir.
I saw them alot in this century. Just as good. Buddy Cage was as good as Jerry. The only difference is no Marmaduke. The voice is perfect for the music.
I have to say that Mama Tried was a song I never liked until this listen
not even the merle haggard version?
Same here.
Jeez
from peggy-o to the sawmill.... 'i would marry you but your guineas are too few'.. to.. 'women like a dollar women like a dollar yes and women always will' .. the dead as musical connective tissue.
1:03:16 i dont know you (Late show/second det?)
goodgnu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with each and every exclamation point - so good the hear the New Riders !
Saw Mill 1:20:34

I hate to say this cause I am a Mickey Hart fan but a lot of times on this tape I find myself asking myself, what the fuck is Mickey Hart doing.
He is definitely the weak link here. I can forgive it but... Billy is a much better drummer, in my opinion. He should've been there instead. Mickey is best when drumming with other drummers like Bill.
Micky Hart only fit to haul Spencer’s gear
Trying to figure out how to keep time as usual.
where's Dirty Business?
There's plenty of dirty business in Washington D.C.
@@Stagfife not with Jerry on pedal steel!
It's down in Coal Creek this morning.
@@Stagfife with Henry, I suppose?
First there was dirty business, and a couple of years later it led to death and destruction.
Mickey butchered Louisiana Lady.
Spencer was a definite improvement.
Among a pelthora of other songs.
A VERY WEAK VERSION OF L O D I . Almost ridiculous. One light year behind the orig.
