I'm never this early - Jen, you inspire me and give me hope for my future. I'm a 25 yo single woman with no kids and you're my favorite channel besides frugalfitmom. 💕
What a treat. I love it! It’s almost 12:30am where I am. I love being up by myself and just watching my peeps. Jen you have been looking so good. You look like you’re slimming down. I think you always look great btw just lately you are glowing.
Leek, potato, turkey kielbasa soup with shredded spinach for garnish. Minestrone soup -- 12 oz V-8, chopped onion and celery, smidgen of red pepper flakes, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, can of black beans, can of pinto beans, I bag of thawed, frozen mixed vegetables, 1 cup cooked orzo. Steak, baked sweet potatoes, sugar snap peas, Waldorf salad ( apples, celery, raisins, chopped walnuts, mayo)
We had fried rice with extra veggies (water chestnuts, zucchini, onions, carrots, cabbage, peas, and corn). I used a teriyaki sauce it was super good. We are also having homemade “Chipotle Bowls). Both of these meals give us leftovers so less cooking. I love hearing your ideas too! ♥️👩🏼🍳
If you've never tried this...its so good... in the gravy/spaghetti packet/ sauces isle look for McCormick one sheet pan...farmers market blend....its good on everything....we love it
So far all I’ve planned is chicken and dumplings and spaghetti. Last night I didn’t feel like cooking so I made sopa. I make it with 1 bag fideo noodles, 1 15oz can tomato sauce, 4 cups water, and 2 tbsp chicken bouillon. Boil everything except noodles. Add noodles once boiling and cook til done. Quick, easy, cheap (like $1 for the pot). Add a salad or grilled cheese if you’d like and it’s quite filling.
I’m making chicken cutlets with broccoli and mash potatoes, chili with French fries, tacos with Mexican rice and jalapeño poppers and a chicken pot pie!! Also I made that Lemon Chicken recipe from a few videos ago with the tomatoes and basil pesto pasta and it was a BIG hit!!!
First video I've watched in over a month. I got busy planning a surgery I had on Friday, so now I'm just laying in bed watching RUclips icing my incision. I did some meal planning in advance though and had my husband take a package Honey Garlic Chicken out of the freezer earlier so hopefully will get my daughter to make that tomorrow, it's just dump and bake. My appetite is coming back and I need something other than the soups I've been eating for 4 days.
Can you do a series about reviewing cookbooks? I never buy cookbooks because I feel like it may not be good and I’m a beginner when it comes to cooking new foods.
For the next two weeks we’re having a whole roasted curry/garlic chicken with potatoes and maple bourbon carrots. Then leftover curry chicken will be turned into chicken salad for two nights. A salad with warm rosemary chicken, red onion, bell pepper, grape tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, feta, and mozzarella. Chicken, bell pepper, mushroom, enchiladas with zesty (cumin/garlic/onion powder/salt/pepper) potatoes and corn on the cob. Lastly, hot Italian sausage sautéed with mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper on top of tortellini with a red sauce.
This week I'm preparing Tacos and Burritos, Pizza and Bread Sticks and Pan Fried Chicken Breasts, Mashed Taters, Roasted Carrots and Brocolli. Thanks for Sharing.
It's just my husband and I, and he has a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off type schedule. So only cooking 2 dinners this week, made million dollar spaghetti on Monday, and trying my had at homemade curry tonight!
We have a grocery store called Buehlers here in Ohio. (I don't think they're in any other state.) Anyhow on their pick up app when you add bananas to cart it asks you how green/ripe you want your bananas. Other items they ask if you even want it substituted, next best, better, etc... That option was pretty cool. However with this store they are very expensive and you pay for the difference in the item. (Unlike Walmart you order GV brand and get Kraft you pay for the GV brand.) The banana picker is pretty cool! I bought two Pioneer Woman cookbooks this past weekend so I've got a few of her recipes picked to try. Her Italian Meatball Soup, Chicken Tortilla Soup, her sloppy Joe recipe. (I am a die hard Manwich girl so I hope I like hers!) Reubens, lasagna, and some others...lol I pick my walmart order up tomorrow. Great haul as always!
1. Gluten free chicken spinach (alfredo) lasagna 2. Beef bell pepper pita wrap with (tzatziki) 3. Beef burgers and kale salad 4. Homemade clam chowder 5. Shrimp ceviche w corn chips and guacamole. Just curious what I could make with edamame? Have great week...
Sunday - shake n bake chicken parmesan and garlic bread Monday - pizza and garlic bread Tuesday - homemade burgers Wednesday - pogos not sure what to have to night might make some stuffed shells, lasagna roll ups or sweet and sour chicken
Tonight- tacos with homemade guacamole, Tomorrow Wednesday- Big Mac sliders with fries or sweet potato fries, Thursday- Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread, Friday- Smoked sausage with dirty rice, Saturday- Leftovers, and Sunday- Salmon with baked squash.
Really loving watching your vlogs.caught up with your holiday one's and followed vlogmas while I was recovering from covid. I am loving Miso soup at the moment and our shop Asda ( owned by Walmart) have amazing smoked haddock and cheddar fishcakes. They are delicious and thankfully don't taste metallic like alot of food at the moment... 🙏❤️🇬🇧
Bisquick zucchini bake with Turkey burgers, chana saag curry over rice, dairy free New England clam chowder with homemade bread, breakfast enchiladas with a salad, and one pot chicken stew. Did I miss peanut pork? I think I saw that on a prior meal plan. Thanks for all your dinner inspiration 💕
Salmon with potatoes(kids don't like rice) and brussel sprouts with maplw glaze , lasagna, chilly and take out at Subway ( sub sandwich place here in Ontario)
Look up recipe for Korean Bowl with Quinoa. It's delicious! We usually eat it with rice, but the quinoa makes it with fewer carbs and its just as good.
As always love your videos. This week I'm making FFM's Meatball stroganoff & Mississippi Pot roast. I'm working crazy hours this week and need simple yet filling dinners.
Last night I made vegetarian lettuce wraps: ‘beyond’ ground meat, red bell pepper, carrot, mushroom, water chestnut, green onions, sesame ginger sauce served with Bibb lettuce leaves & side of brown rice. SO fresh & crunchy... and I suppose you could make it lower carb if you served it with cauliflower ‘rice’ 😬🥬 or made it with actual beef. 🙌
We had sausage & potato sheet pan dinner last night. We throw on other veggies, too. So good. Tonight is Fettucine Alfredo w/chicken in the instant pot. Then I also have these on the menu for this week...Zucchini Mushroom Chicken Stir Fry, Tacos, Chicken Gnocchi Soup, Burgers w/fries & instant pot Creamy Shrimp Scampi. The Zucchini mushroom chicken is a new recipe for us.
Breakfast for dinner Spaghetti and meatballs Tacos And a smothered chicken recipe I found on Pinterest Pizza on Sunday night!! We’re having pretty simple meals! 😉 I feel like some weeks just call for that. 😀
Cool video! Thanks so much for sharing! I am a grocery haul junkie! I love to hit up several stores in one day to get all the deals and shop in a circuit at one time. Keep these types of videos coming! I am watching!
We're having cauliflower curry with rice, Sri lankan fish cutlets with milk rice and red lentils, smoked salmon Rolls, misosoup, moussaka and pizza bianco 👩🍳 yum
I know with the hyvee around my area they text to ask about substitutions. Maybe it’s not something the hyvee around you is doing? Love watching your videos! It always gets me in a cooking mood.
We buy that brand of edamame and my grandchildren all love them. This week I meal prepped adobo chicken tenderloin, grilled onions and red bell peppers, serving it with romaine, lettuce and cucumber salad and topped it with mango salsa (mango, black bean, corn, jalapeño, red bell pepper, tomato, red onion, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and black pepper, yum) for lunches and for dinner I smothered pork sirloin chops with gravy and am serving them with roasted butternut squash, Golden potatoes, carrots and sweet potato. I prepped egg, mushroom and ham bites in the pressure cooker and made fruit cups for morning snack and veggie crudités with yogurt ranch dressing for afternoon snacks. Like Keira I can eat the same thing over and over so this menu works for me, I’m six years out from bariatric surgery so I meal prep to stay on course after losing 90 lbs I’ve maintained the wt loss for five years now. If you would include a few bariatric patient meal ideas I’d love it! Thanks for all the cooking inspiration!
Tomorrows lunch definitely ham and cheese wraps, thanks for the idea! Tonight's dinner will be Sweet & Sour chicken Chow Mein bowls (without the sweet & sour for me) 🤗
I use full fat plain greek yogurt like fage in place of sour cream all the time. its really hard to tell the difference! the yogurt is also lower in calories and higher in protein than sour cream.
With Plus, the personal shopping is suppose to text you and ask you what you want substituted. I have had mine text a picture of certain items, so I can choose what I want. They dropped the ball on your order.
Did I hear that correct? You are paying for Walmart Plus, but they don't deliver to you?? I've been wanting to try it, but haven't "bitten the bullet" to pay for it yet lol. We have Amazon, but the grocery service isn't available here 😭
We make those appetizer with Polish ham cream cheese and onion in it or you put pickles in it or olives and Christmas Eve everybody loves it you take the Polish ham then the cream cheese you put on the pot ham and let me put the owls on it or the onion or the pickles on it and then roll it up the one that you were talking about it's really good
Yes! My son hates chunks in his yogurt so I buy the Aldi tubes! He eats them frozen as a snack before bed. I do not have to buy ice cream unless i or the hubby wants it, because it tricks my son's brain thinking he is having ice cream even though we still call it yogurt! Lol!
I got lots of deli meat this week...but a rack of ribs as well and I just made Pilipino Chicken Adobo which was delicious! I want to make your ground beef and Brocol!! ♥️🐾
Tonight I’m making the fiesta chicken chili crockpot recipe from your last what’s for dinner video. Tomorrow I’m making Hamburger Steaks and Friday I’m making cheesy garlic bread sticks.
I love those ICE waters, and I finally found the ones with caffeine last night when I ran to Big Lots! I'm beyond excited to try them! 😂 😂It's the little things that make me happy.
The last three times I've done pickup at my Walmart, they've done absolutely no substitutes. They just say its out of stock and don't replace it. I don't know what's going on. I triple check to make sure I'm allowing substitutions. I might change to another grocery store for pickup. Because the last time I picked it up, then parked and ran in looking for an alternative, and they had plenty of stock in what I ordered.
I have burgers with salad, seagrass and veg and chicken noodle stir fry on my meal plan. I live alone but double up portions so every second night I just reheat 😂
doritos (my go to chips) on my fitness pal, because i do not look at the label, says 12 chips is 140-150 calories so the skinny pop ones are a little better compared to those
Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn Pork street tacos with pico and guac Beef and Barley soup chili chicken tortilla soup or ribs french dip sandwiches pork back ribs or chicken pot pie and pizza breakfast for dinner (french toast, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, and eggs)
Always look forward to your videos. Interesting we don’t have Hyvee here in Southern California but we have that Simply Done at our Stater Bros markets 💖 I wonder if there is a connection lol
We buy and Love the Jacks. Some times you might have to add a little extra mozzarella cheese but overall, they are good. We prefer them over Tombstone because of the sauce.
Click redeem after you have checked the items you bought, then it will have you scan the receipt and the item depending on what it is. Hope this helps.
kiera is getting to be a mini-me of you! It’s like looking in.a mirror! She’s getting so big! I meal plan like you do. I circle what I didn’t make and push it to the next week. I also don’t plan all the sides. Depends on what is around. Steve also doesn’t like salmon. Sometimes I.buy steelhead trout, which looks just like salmon and I make that. He likes it. It isn’t as strong in flavor. Sometimes I buy salmon and tell him it’s steelhead trout. He believes me. Hey, I’ve been married to him for 31 years! It’s my little way of getting him to eat salmon! It is healthier for him then trout. I was going to make pork chops for dinner yesterday but I couldn’t find the ones I had in the freezer so I just reheated a leftover casserole for my family last night, I bought pork chops and I made them tonight sprinkled with Spiceology Black Truffle Sriracha Seasoning and I cooked them in cast iron pan and served them with rice-a-roni 4 cheese and I added some peas to it. Everyone loved the meal. I thought the seasoning would be too hot for my son but he loved it. They surprise you sometimes. Tomorrow we are having fish. Don’t know what I’m doing with it yet. I will be making homemade sauce for Instant Pot pasta (harrabiatta sauce from the latest Barefoot Contessa book).
