  • Julie Christie was just ethereal in Away From Her for which she rightly deserves aIl the accolades. I know all the bs the copyright belongs to SAG AFTRA .the video is made from two clippings one is Ellen page's fansite and the other from another source. But I truly believe this was a performance of a lifetime so touching and so soothing.

    Julie Christie is one of those actresses who did her job superlatively. She needs to come back again. Miss her. I remember when she hit BIG in the 60's with Darling and Zhivago coming out around the same time. Knockout breakthrough. And she is so eloquent and elegant.

    I fell hopelessly in love with her, as “ Lara” in Dr Zhivargo in 1965. What a beautiful, talented woman.

    Cotillard! Blanchett! What a line up...and though I adore both these talented actors immensely, I, like many others, have been ensnared by the heart and mind for decades by Lara and Mrs. Miller. Bravo, Julie, Bravo.

    Jullie Christie is pure class and still stunning. She has always been one of my favorites. Her performance touches me even more now as my mother has severe dementia and she has been a vegetable for over two years now. I consider it an honor to have been able to vote for her for the SAG award that year. I was disappointed when she didn't win the Oscar. She is very low key and didn't do all the press junkets and other publicity. Marione was great as well and she campaigned fiercely, so she won.

    I just finished watching it. Honestly, she wasn’t acting. She was Fiona in every way. Effortless portrayal of the character. You forget that you’re watching a movie. It felt like you were privy into the lives of real people. Lovely. Well done.

      Great performance, which means it seems as though she wasn't acting as the performance was so perfect, sublime, understated that made the character Fiona so real. Julie Christie also won The New York Film Critics Award for Best Actress (her third one, a near record) for this incredible performance.

    Although good to see her win an award after so many years, Darling in 1965 being her last major win, Marion Cotillard should have won at Sag. Fortunately for Marion, she got the Oscar afterall.

    • @Dennisanyone-
      @Dennisanyone- 5 лет назад +13

      Marion campaigned more that year. Julie didn’t. Getting additional exposure makes the difference in tight races for the Oscar. When Marion won the bafta over Julie it was a sign of things to come. Just like the Olivia Glenn showdown this year.
