    Your rear tyre temperatures were fine but your front were all over the place. Your temps were blue for a lot of it ( below 80 degrees). If you knock the brake ducts back one notch it would increase temperature about 5 degrees then alter tyre pressures accordingly. This might explain some of the imbalances you felt in the corners. Good clean racing and great qualifying time.

  • @BrisketInTexas
    @BrisketInTexas 12 дней назад

    Mate, that 2:17.9 is a huge achievement. Cold tracks temps will certainly have helped, but sub 18 pace at Spa is quick. Well done!
    I think your issues in eau rogue/radillion are the characteristics of the Ferrari, it really doesnt like curbs and both the inside right curb and the exit curb will spit the 296 out much more often than some other cars. Probably best to avoid them most of them time and only hit them hard when you really need to, like on that past lap when you're tryna carry as much speed as possible
    Being on the outside into pouhon doesnt work, youre right, but honestly that first race incidenct wasnt your fault. You were entitled to your space and you drove straight, he came across, tapped your car and unsettled it on corner entry. Really unfortunate but normally being there wouldnt result in losing the car and getting collected

      Thank you! I was so pumped on that lap. You have to try capitalise when the track is optimal right?
      Yea Eau rouge always feels on the limit, and is taking a while to get comfortable. The pace of these races is so fast, that I feel I need to attack it every lap. But it leads to the mistakes. I was also annoyed I didn't learn from the first outside moment at Pouhon. I made the error being there still at the turn in, but doing it twice in the following race was silly haha. Good learning though.

    I've been thinking of doing the spa race but I've been focusing on the Kyalami race at the moment just to get some experience with it. I did the trick of following against 1 AI in a race to increase my SA to be able to go for my LFM license and got that straight away. The only downside is because i used LFM on AC, it started me off with my AC SR which was 1 🤦(back from when i was trying to get into sim racing and tried the mx5 races but was terrible). So got a long way to go to get out of the rookie races but I'm up to 2SR so far

    • @BradleySettersMotorsport
      @BradleySettersMotorsport  12 дней назад +1

      Ah yes, I did see that the SR goes across the platforms in LFM. That is a rough way to try progress in ACC LFM then. Stay clean at all costs! If you do Spa, then just watch the track limits. That will hurt your SR alot if you collect a lot over the 45mins.

  • @bartsimpson94

    one thing i can point out that might help you: in race 2 Lap 1 i saw you gave away 2 positions for free by just not defending (at 15:00 and 15:20) dont be afraid to take the defensive line, if you lack some exit speed and think people will catch up to you.
    btw low 2.17's is quite crazy for were you at, that would even be a quite competetive time in the 2,5k elo range

      I certainly reflected on that race a bit, and felt like I was soft at times. I'm really desperate to have clean races and keep moving forward with the safety rating. But your right, I do need to get my elbows out more!

  • @bigperm4046
    @bigperm4046 12 дней назад +1

    ok so the best advice i can give you is not to touch the kerb going up eau rouge, also you keep engaging your brake about 5% you might want to increase the dead zone, but most importantly you can add 4 to 5 liters of fuel extra to start and hold the brake for the entire out lap which heats up the brake which also heats up the tires but you're doing great. use current pressure for the pitstop pressures.

    • @BradleySettersMotorsport
      @BradleySettersMotorsport  12 дней назад +1

      Thanks for pointing out the braking. I have a dead zone on the pedal travel, but I think its a bad habit I need to work on. Question on the warm up lap. Does getting the brakes red hot for that long damage them?? The auto technician in me cant not comprehend doing that haha.

    • @bigperm4046
      @bigperm4046 12 дней назад

      @BradleySettersMotorsport no getting the brakes red hot won't damage them, the brake situation i understand because I do it aswell just increase it a few % and you'll be fine just make sure to use current pressure so the pressures won't be so far off, also very important you need to be more aggressive you can be cautious but lfm drivers will always go for the gap no matter the size but other than that I think you're doing great just keep at it.

    • @BradleySettersMotorsport
      @BradleySettersMotorsport  11 дней назад

      Ok I will lean on the brakes more on the warm up! Starting to learn where the game differs from the real world haha. Yes I know Im pretty soft on the defence currently. Still have the safety rating on my mind, but I did kick myself a little when editing the replay. Learning every time!

    I noticed your tire temps were not optimal in many clips. The game doesn't do a very good job in giving you info about the tires, so you might want to consider some overlays from 3rd party softwares. Personally I use ACC Drive, which records my max and average tire pressures and temperatures, fuel usage, possible pressure loss etc. per lap. I use it to set my tire pressures and brake ducts. After a quali session I always check the data and adjust ducts and PSI if needed.

    What type of car set up are you using?
    I would suggest using something thats a tad more stable! It looks like you're rear is fairly loose while having understeer at higher speeds!
    Your anti roll bars make a big difference in high speed corners. I would suggest lowering the Anti roll bar in the rear and lower your bump stop rate!
    Im not a big fan of the Ferrari cause the steering seems different from all the other cars!
    Maybe use the AMG or McLaren!
    The McLaren is very easy to make stable and still be quick although it does lack acceleration on the str8s!
    Spa is a tricky track. Lap times can vary greatly. Everything feom 2:15 to 2:18 depending on temp and fuel load!
    The exit at the top of the hill leading to the long str8 in the first sector is huge. You can gain or lose a good 5-7tenths.
    Then the 2nd sector is difficult to get right. I know it's where i struggle to the most personally. My goal time is 1:00 into the 59.8's. although I often find my self doing 1:00.6/7 while doing mid 2:17's 2;18. The 3rs sector is my fastest.. Especially when i nail the chicane..
    As for the car set up. A trick i use for many cars is with the damping. Ill use a motec adjustmented front damping for s
    A traditional bell curve! Then on the rear ill use the min/max meta style setting. I find it helps make the car very stable while remaining pretty quick. It smel hells a bunch with tire degradation.
    I haven't done any LFM races this season yet so idk what the BOP is. Taking cars where they take away weight seems to be very beneficial!
