Without knowing the full story about the owners, I won't condemn them -- perhaps he escaped a yard and just got pinched by animal control? Maybe they are financially struggling and doing everything within their financial means to try to give him a good life, but they simply can't. The bottom line is you just don't know. That being said, I do agree that if he was mistreated or neglected on purpose, that is absolutely deplorable - dogs only know unconditional love and it takes a lot to break that spirit. No dog deserves that. I sincerely hope this little guys finds his forever family and is given every ounce of love that beautiful little face deserves. His eyes are so mesmerizing.

My dog valentine of 19 years died on Friday my life is upside down without her I adopted her from a shelter I can barely sleep in my house without her you are so so right life is so much better with dogs! Mine was special I’m not sure if I saved her or she saved me. My home is not the same. I hope this dog owner realizes how special their dog is and comes and gets him immediately. ❤

I have looked after over 250 different dogs when their Owners were away on holiday etc and I, always say the same to wonderful Owners, like you.
Please give some real thought to, immediately, getting another dog as it is not disrespectful to Valentine but you can fill your empty home when another Dog that needs love and attention and it will help to stop you from feeling really down and dwelling on your loss and you will always have your treasured memories of your lovely dog.

Too many humans just plain suck, and dont deserve the unconditional love that dogs give. This baby was treated like trash, but deserves to be treated like Royalty. I pray he gets the PAWFECT home!!😊
Ugh, I’d be there in a heartbeat to give him a home if his family doesn’t come. I can’t wait for the day when we can get a dog. Our apartment complex makes it difficult and me and my husband are literally counting the days. I’ve never been without a dog and my husband raised a German shepherd puppy to be a search and rescue dog so we are so excited when we get to go give one a good forever home.

I always wonder if shelters and apartment complexes could team up. If the apartment owners had some support to maybe help them provide a small dog park area, clean up after them, repair damage done to apartments by animals, sealing interiors to prevent pet smells from seeping in, and maybe some assurance that problem dogs could go back to the shelter if necessary, they would be much more likely to go for it. The cost of fixing up pet damage is one big reason they don't want animals, as is noise complaints. If residents had help training their dogs not to bark, it would help a lot. Being dog friendly with dog amenities might actually help them make more money per unit. :)
Sometimes a medical doctor may sign an order stating you need an emotional support animal.When people have an animal for most of their life it is emotionally disturbing to be without a pet. The landlord MUST allow an emotional support animal to my knowledge this is a federal law.
Pretty sure this is either a full breed or mixed with Jagdterrier (German Hunting Terrier) The only thing that gives me doubts is usually Jagd’s ears are floppy and males within the breed standard are around 25lbs . Amazing dogs not so good with cats or hamsters or anything like that. They are extremely aggressive towards prey animals. They are very versatile hunting dogs nerves of steel, amazing constitution they will get their prey, regardless of injuries, without fear. But this breed is a working dog breed , just like the search and rescue dog you raised , and wouldn’t be the best if you just wanted it for a pet.. unless you have a lot of acreage or access to a lot of acreage, to let them run and hunt to satisfy their prey Drive they are basically “one owner dogs” incredibly loyal. Ideal scenario this dog would go to a hunter or a farmer, dog would be able to kill a lot of rats and what not on a farm and he would be happy as pie lol. That little dog will go head to head with a raccoon and come out on top! a lion in a little terriers clothing❤ and they are escape artist too lol they will run away if they aren’t getting what they need. a lot of owners get the wrong type of dog for their lifestyle and they unfortunately end up in shelters.😢

I adopted my precious Harriette from the shelter in April 2023. She turned out to be a miniature schnauzer with an undocked tail. Her face is crooked, she was so afraid of men but now she is my heart and joy. She loves men now and her tail will always be long and crooked. She was immediately spayed and I love her so. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for the puppies who are not loved.

When you first went in there and he looked up with those huge brown eyes, he looked so sweet and adorable. He is cute, and I love his facial expressions.

Travis is such a dainty boy, taking the treats so gently, giving a little paw. Seems like he would be a great buddy to just have on your lap and relax. I hope we get an update with him groomed and brushed out, his coat texture is so interesting and he must look even more handsome after some TLC.

It's heartbreaking that such a handsome boy, who is clearly a very good family dog, cuddly boy, can have his owners go 8 days without picking up. It's one thing giving up a pet you can no longer take care of, but to just abandon it.
If he's a terrier mix like mine is, then he's a little sweetie....a tender-hearted loverboy. Mine is all heart, plus a little bit of fear...and mine loves scratches like a massage. I am a senior and have contributed to sick kids hospital for many years. Now I think I will be changing my mind and donating to the shelters for animals as they have no parents to look out for them. I have 2 rescue dogs myself.

7:17 - I adopted a kitten whose microchip fell out (the kitten was underweight and it was placed too near the skin) - as well as another kitten whose spay incision was so worryingly large and required extensive after care. It was later learned that both procedures were done by the same slap-dash vet from a few towns over, and, made me VERY grateful for the competency of our own local veterinarian.

You can tell that Travis is a snugly buddy as he just settles into you lap. He’s so adorable!🥰
You work the magic like no other Rocky. We all saw the fear uncertainty and stress in Travises eyes and when you worked your magic, those emotions just melted away. Hope he either gets reunited with his family very soon or finds another family who'll continue to give him the love you shared with him. Just a suggestion, how about starting or inviting your members to start a picture gallery of their own furry children so their furball family members and dog lovers are one big happy community?
I gave my dogs some of your treats for the first time, yesterday...and they LOVED them. I'm not surprised that that little guy appreciated them, too. 🐾
The pups look downtrodden when they hear the vet telling Rocky their story. Then they visibly relax when Rocky reassures them and says good boy/girl. I swear they understand the words they hear.🐶

All our pets are members of the family. I grew up with pets, spent my summers on our family farm, and have loved animals all my life. I Believe that they have souls and my husband believes that they’re angels sent to help us. All of them we adopted or needed a home and our lives have been so much richer for the love they have given us in the 42 years of our marriage. They are never forgotten.

Hi Rocky, I just heard your talking about the use of a weighted blanket. I love my weighted blanket because it makes me feel safe and helps with the chronic pain that I have. It is also warming and comfortable and I'm using it as I am writing this.
