3:00 There’s actually a blind guy that climbs regularly at my gym, he has a spotter who helps him out and over a few attempts he gets the route figured out. Seen him do some v4s and even land a dyno! Super awesome!
I sometimes sight guide someone who is blind (using a headset when on ropes due to the distances), watching that made me realise that my sight guiding is better than I thought! (usually it will be along the lines of "sloper twelve o-clock" or "left foot to where your right knee is" type directions)
When I was working front desk at our climbing gym I found that I could fit size 14s over my normal sneakers, which started a trend of other staff trying climbs this way. If enough of us could "shoobie" the climb, as we called it, we would often downgrade the problem 😂
I saw Louis at the depot in Manchester on Saturday. It was quite cool to watch him in person and I am interested in when that video will release. I wanted to say hi, but of course didn't because he was busy.
Yessss for Louis video!!! Feel like he’s definitely one of the most genuine nice people out there. I know, bold take for only seeing through a screen but seems like such a good best friend guy😂😂
Loved this video! The gym looks very cool and I liked how Louis was set different challenges while doing some of the climbs 👌. Also poor Sol at the end with the push-ups 😂😂
Was it Sam behind the camera? I just loved his commentary! Elevated the video even more and made me laugh so hard 😂 Just the exasperated "Louis skips holds... on a V7..." 💀😂
Great, now i want to climb, but my Arms are shot from yesterday xD. I not Even that good....yet :) cant wait for friday(Till then Resting and some Kind of cardio)
I can swear that some newbies climb with the same technique that Louis climbed blindfolded. And this isn't a comment on the poor technique some newbies have, by the way, it's just a comment on how taking one element away can make something significantly more difficult even for a pro!
Watching Louis flash my projects for 20 minutes

The local gym owner here coaches a blind Paralympic lead climber that's a world champion. I can't wait to see him climb when I get the chance.
That’s awesome there’s a guy at my gym who has a stump for his right hand and I’ve seen him climb v5 it’s insane

Nah I can't even imagine how scary a dyno must be with no sight.
Please tell me his spotter is better than these guys 😭

That's pure science right there.
I wear a 13 so idk how this makes me feel 😂
Lol!
I guess I'm always shoobying since my normal size is 13 to begin with
The oversized shoe one is gold. You need to repeat that at some point and see how hard you can climb in clownishly large shoes...
The sigh of deception from behind the camera whenever Louis tops a boulder by the end of the video 😂

Great video. Loved the editing detail of the attempt counter going down as soon as Louis established on the start holds, nice attention to detail!
I was cheering the whole time at 10:35!! I think "clown climbing" needs to be a thing! Louis the legend haha

Don’t worry, he comes across that way in person too. I see him in my gym sometimes and he’s always lovely!
This was incredibly satisfying. Glad to see your victory with spades Louis!

The sighs from the camera man are killing me 🤣
Met the team at the Rise Climbing a few weeks ago and they're really lovely people :)
Would love to see more videos on how to do/work on overhangs, especially what to do with the feet.
No points were given for the green corner boulder was it? It was Louis 14th attempt.
Lovely gym. That was a fun video. Well done, Louis! Impressive skills there.
one of the best gym!
The slap at 4:49 :D
I love the game and will definitely be trying it out at new gyms 👍
I can't believe I stumbled on a video of my local gym
The shoe challenge needs to be a staple challenge! So funny!
Was it Sam behind the camera? I just loved his commentary! Elevated the video even more and made me laugh so hard 😂 Just the exasperated "Louis skips holds... on a V7..." 💀😂
😂😂 it was indeed… glad my exasperation made you giggle!
@@CatalystClimbing You're a gem, I loved it! 😂
🥰
Why didn't you count attempt #5?
definitely gonna try this in my gym
The thumbnail is sick haha
Big up RISE Climbing
Really entertaining video
who else thinks Loui needs some hip mobility work ? 😛 19:29
6:33 in he finishes a boulder but gets no points for it.....
I was outraged! 😂 It looked hard too.
That is the most zen climbing gym ever
it's weird seeing you relaxing lol
I just joined and I'm not able to find the Members' Introduction Video - could you point me in the right direction?
Glad to hear you've signed up. If you come to the gym, we do our introduction in person. Hope to see you soon!
I like the idea of blind bouldering but it seems so confusing, and not really the point, when you have multiple routes overlapping.
I don’t know why serious climbers climb without blindfolds. Use of eyes is aid. My style is barefoot blinded campus free soloing
I feel like every game that involves points that they do is always scored in chunks of 10 when they could just do like 1 point per V grade
i take it back, more points = better climber
It is very interesting video
if each V grade gets you 10 points and the goal is 1000, why not just make it 1 point per v grade and 100 point goal? seems easier
my thoughts exactly
because then they would need to do 10 push-ups per point 🤓
Maybe some of the bonuses had different values like ending in 5 and they wanted to avoid decimals
Great, now i want to climb, but my Arms are shot from yesterday xD. I not Even that good....yet :) cant wait for friday(Till then Resting and some Kind of cardio)
What shoes is he wearin?
I would kill to have that shirt. Shut up and take my money!
18:39 dab?
15:37 you don't give him points either.... so either you cheat Louis from points, or you fail to tell the viewer the rules proper....
Wooot!

they were laughing at how big size 14 climbing shoes are.. I wear size 14
Why do all these v5s look so much easier than the ones in my gym?
damn that gym is soft.
