Platt already won, in that his motive was to take money from MBC (my former church). He doesn't care about the fallout as long as he's not caught, which he won't be.
That "Senior Teaching Pastor" role is the most SBC thing ever. They love inventing titles, usually it's to puff themselves up, but in this case it was squeeze someone out.
This whole thing is odd. If there's a scandal, Platt should be removed. Solomon has a weird way about him, too. He's not speaking about the church, negatively, in any way. Perhaps the leadership feels MCB is too big to fail.
he is under a non disclosure agreement. If he talks he will lose his retirement and care for his special needs daughter. Very sinister how they did it to him. Sad.
Thank you. About the abuse, people need to start going to the police. I know it is hard for children, families if they do, but they are already harmed. The children need to resolve the issue in their minds and hearts, parents need to help their children see justice, and heal. Very sad outcome, Scott Woods just moved on to abuse others.
I have many issues with Pratt, but I have one regarding giving to the Southern Baptist Convention. When he was called, he was a leader of the SBC International Mission Board so did it surprise anyone Pratt would direct funds to the SBC?.
@@evangelicaldarkweb Is the proof he lied since a mission board member told me when Platt was called to the church (while president of the board) -that Platt told other board members the board the church would begin giving to the mission board. ,
Just for more context, Lon Solomon was pretty much forced out by some of his elders so they could have a celebrity pastor. This doesn't happen in a healthy church that is being led and taught in a biblically solid manner. I'm not blaming everything on Solomon, but if your elder board is this corrupt he definitely bears some responsibility for his own removal and what happened after. The seeds for this David Platt fiasco were sown well before Platt actually entered the picture. Of course, Platt bears the guilt for what he has done so I'm not downplaying that.
I wouldn’t necessarily blame Lon Solomon for his own being replaced. It seems an internal and external conspiracy was brewing that was greater than he could fend off. I was employed at a church where a wolf was hired to tend the sheep. It was not the founding pastor’s fault, he retired a year before. It wasn’t the interim pastor’s fault, he was not consulted during the process. I have a feeling that the years of success became a seed of pride that led to the evil leader. Maybe this happened on an even larger scale at MBC.
@@JesseDavis7373 I've seen leadership in a small denomination refuse to address spiritual abuse and toxic leadership and people in the congregation who were basically church bosses.. They didn't listen to us and that church is nearly closed now ... It's a small fledgling movement so I guess it's easier to see this in a small congregation whereas in bigger churches they have ways of covering up sin and evil practices.
One has to realize this.....their are so many so called "Watchmen" out there in the "Evangelical Industrial Complex" that point the finger at anyone else and ignore what is going on in the EIC.

All this constant character assassination and the obsession people have to destroy him is simply astounding. This is NOT coming from any Godly motivation at all! It is unnatural and chilling.
I watched part 2 last night. After all of that, the guy is still in place. He thinks he’s won. He has no idea how badly he’s losing 🔥
What guy? Platt?
great way to put it.

If your "teacher " is not a pastor/shepherd to you - personally, that is not a true congregation
Fortunately, true judgement is coming and they won't be able to hide behind a "security officer" or some closed doors on that day.
Julie Roys needs to be featured in Enemies in the Church Part 2
I wonder if Platt is even more slimy than Jim Bakker or Swaggert. Platt seems even more nefarious.
The documentary not clearly stating if the accusations were reported to the police or not was shocking!
Finances are really tight but I plan to support your ministry soon. I love your content.

Nothing surprises me anymore.
Heart check: you see a black female cop and call her a DEI cop. You don’t find that a bit of a heart issue?
No. Overweight female cops improperly enforcing the law is a staple od DEI.
The heart issue is you denying DEI…

There is a duty to report. You never know who else might get hurt.

Yes and no. Platt lied about it when he could have stated that the church wanted to be Southern Baptist when they hired him.

The SBC is only interested in one thing......real estate and money.....
The buy land because God's not making any more of it gospel.

It will be more personal than specifically about Platt. The premise being Christians lack money is a huge problem.
David was informed about the abuse in the October 2017 elder meeting, if he did not know before. He knew before Lon Solomon.
Why has not The Gospel Coalition (TGC) removed David Platt as a Council Member of TGC and as a main speaker at their upcoming conference, TGC25?
They are accusations. Nothing has been proven. It's bizarre. Think!
