Zeus's Blitz status on the Black Coat special plus a strong primary attack boon has been a very strong combo for me lately. Hestia + Zeus in Particular have shredded
I just had an Aspect of Medea run on the surface with Aphrodite on attack and blitz on special. It was so fun, I love dashing into fools with the big explosion.
Axe is definitely the beloved weapon for me in this game ❤️ All three aspects are just so much fun to use. Mel for ‘meme’ runs like sprint only. Thanatos for the fast swings, and Charon with lucid gain Even with the cloak added in the update, by far the Axe is my favorite

Assuming you can charge 9 omega attacks without triggering an attack in between that's still, on average, only 5 crits, every 15 sec. The rest of the time it's around 1k damage per hit (assuming the top of your range). Pan just needs Poseidon's special to be good. At common it's 20x10 damage plus the damage of the omega special itself (from the video, fully charged, point blank but without the cast was around 250 total, though some knives may have missed). Assuming you wear his keepsake, it would be at least rare, which is 30 damage on 10 knives, so with the base damage from the special, it's 550 damage +30% for Furies, so 715 damage. From chamber 1. With Origination giving +50% (so +80% total) it's 990 damage per omega special. With only 3 boons, it rivals Artemis with good hammers and, I assume, at least decent boons since it seems to be the high point for you. I also think it has better crowd control, since the knives can go through other enemies while homing on enemies in your cast. I remember a run where I got Poseidon's legendary and spiral knives where I phased every boss with 1 omega special.

I'll always be very partial towards the aspect of Thanatos, because I got my first win with that one before it was changed to attack speed. Very spin to win, super fun.
Was trying to solve medea on 32fear due high dmg input from enemies. Easiest, 1 damage build ever. No need duos. Required: Strength+Flood Control+Fixed Gain+Broken Resolve+any weak ftom Aphro. Bonus: heph/hera duo( that one is overkill in this build), any aphro, heph hp/shield/restore. Black Coat Aspect of Mel is a lot of fun with Zeus attacks and ignoring mana (prime mana etc.), but still have enough max mana to get below 100% for the Arcana card bonus.
Selene is in my opinion really good if you ignore the aspect in itself. Put Blitz on the attack, so it affects the hex as well, and use mostly the omega cast. Even better if you get Geyser Spout. Awesome damage output and you virtually get the hex everytime with not a lot of upgrades.
For aspect of circe, instead of serenity, an omega attack/special should be launched at the 12th hit, combining with hammer it will be quite strong i guess.
Medea is one of my favorite builds because it is strong, can be safe, and doesn't require a whole lot to set up for success. Aphro special, glamour gain, and blitz on the attack. I spam the omega special and am always taking advantage of the origination bonus. Omega special gives s.
Also it involves a lot of RNG, but Aspect of Selene with Selene's keepsake to start with has given me some pretty wild runs. Having the hex maxed out and it having the power of your attack boon after the very first room can turn pretty crazy. It's absolutely not a D tier aspect.
I actually quite like the aspect of eos so I may be bias, but I like it a lot for how safe it is. If you get strong synergy( I like Zeus on attack and Poseidon on special) because the omega attack seeks targets you can cast it twords the group of enemies and spam the special and most stuff dies pretty quick. Best part is you don’t have to be in the area yourself at all to do that, which is where it being extremely safe comes in. I think for the same reason you ranked Persephone higher eos should be higher as well.
Aspect of Artemis is what lets me murk Chronos so easily. I always block the instant kills and then proceed to ruin him... The cooldown could be lowered though, like maybe the levels lower the cooldown.
I actually love Aspect of Artemis on the daggers. Well... Loved. It did feel a lot more like a parry when old Sorceress existed. Now, timing for it is really awkward, as you can't slow time, block a hit and Teleport behind your enemy with the Omega Attack to dodge the rest of the attack, immediately using your crit chance. Nowadays... It's pretty janky. The steady, assassin style of the aspect is mostly gone and it now requires some serious timing and mouse control to work to it's full extent. What you could take time with now requires serious speed and precision.
Why the aspect of artemis slander, it is an insanely good aspect if you are patient and good at timing, it also also almost a garanteed win on no heat. Also daybreak doens't mimic your omega specials, now it only holds one omega special
I honestly thought aspect of nyx will produce an ally version of that pact that produces nightshade enemy ( sort of like mobs that are purple - gray and help mini bosses). 😅😅
I haven't played all aspects yet, but the axe is in the top 3, not my absolute favorite thus far. Aspect of Momus is a lot of fun, and is tied with aspect of Pan as my favorite so far. I've unlocked Moros torches but I haven't done a run with them yet. They're clearly really strong.
I feel like Selene would be like B tier or higher if the range on the hex was larger. It feels very counterintuitive that i have to use this clunky ranged special and slow block+punch, but then i need to br in basic attack range to use my hex? Makes me want a good on-hit boon on my attack for when the hex is runnint, but then my omega attack is even worse.
My first successful run, and my first 32 run were both with aspects from the D tier. I think the hex is useless, unless you have the stacking boon, then it becomes ridiculous. You should try it out.
It's funny you mention not being able to center a build for the melinoe coat on specials. That's how I first cleared 32 fear. 250k dmg on the specials and 25k with attacks 😂
Black Coat Special apologist right here, there is absolutely builds that make the rockets insanely good😭 roll with Zeus on specials and the Split Rocket Hammer, with Demeter casts plus their duo i swear you will never have a better time watching blitz damage numbers go brr
i thought moros sucked at first because if you use the abilities in the order they're written it feels really bad, the attacks bump into each other and stop dead in a line. didn't realize that if you just throw the omega special on first it feels like you're playing as hephaestus
So some thoughts: 1. Artemis omega attack can parry even unblockable moves like chronos/prometheus moves or polyphemus shockwaves. It's still kinda clunky. 2. Truth be told eos and mel torches feel exactly the same, it's just omega special spam at the end of the day and one (more than?) doubles the duration, and the other the amount of omega specials. I think triple comet is better on eos but romantic spark is quite a bit better on mel so that's the difference? 3. Mel aspect axe that low really hurts because i feel it's one of the stronger aspects to just get a win with/do high fear. Increased speed matters for DPS, but increased power means way stronger first hit (on an enemy with origination+strength+furies+aphro attack (rare, unpommed), first strike does 153 with than and 259 with mel for example). In fact, one of my favourite examples to demonstrate it is to compare apollo attack on mel vs aphro attack on thanatos. Mel does 216 on first swing (more than than), and trades less speed for way more range. If you look at the aspects as Than aspect has 30% increased speed on attack vs Mel aspect has 30% increased range and a bit more damage on attack Suddenly they look quite comparable, and you don't even have to do apollo as demeter/hera also do more damage oer swing on mel than Than with even epic or legendary aphro attack. Than still looks better, but mel is excellent if you want to be a bit more careful in your swings and aren't finishing combos or use something other than aphro attack. Than has the omega attack thing but you use omegas on than so rarely that it isn't a huge deciding factor, plus 35 health really translates to 70-77 more health depending on whether we use strength or eternity, and it also allows you to free up arcana by not taking titan. Kind of a plus imo? 4. All skull omega specials grant you i-frames, persephone's just lasts (way) longer (and does more damage), just something worth mentioning to all the skull haters, it's a great weapon! 5. Kinda feel selene got robbed here since it does depend on omegas but unlike nyx who has to use the attack or special, selene can use casts. And it with geyser spout is *really* fun, because shine does work but in a weird (? it is a debuff so should be end damage multiplier instead of additor but it works additively, even so it is more than any other omega move increasing percentage and can be boosted further, i cannot recall if hades spear worked like this) way but it still shits out pretty consistent damage, like 1000+ per geyser spout on shine'd enemies. It's quite particular and sort of the most complicated aspect as it basically requires you get selene keepsake zone 1 or 2 to get final upgrade in one fell swoop (8 upgrades are enough for a final upgrade in all branch patterns), but also be intimately familiar with all the pathway of star upgrades, but imo it's really worth it, and even objectively it does not belong in circe tier 😭 And finally 6. Circe is so bad
We vibe with the dodgeball. Once got +2 skulls, then simultaneous omega attack fire on exp. hammer (basically cluster bomb from hades 1) and the old hera/heph duo that massively buffs unpowered boons. The omega attack did _so much_ damage it was absolutely bonkers.
The problem with the skull for me is that you generally want to spam normal special that doesn't have any i-frames rather than omega special (with medea at least, i rarely play the other aspects) which is obviously very dangerous, as a glass cannon weapon it's very good with its insane damage but i still think the lack of defense make it a not so fun weapon to play (on top of the way its played which get boring very fast). I do agree with you though, selene totally got robbed, with enough path of stars upgrade the aspect becomes a beast, definitely S tier for me. I also think he oversold nyx, the gameplay itself sound super cool but in practice you are just forced to stop attacking and run around to recharge every 5 seconds, not to mention you can be hit while running toward the enemy. I feel like it should last longer than 5 seconds to make it better.
@amrforce7792 oh I agree with medea skulls' omega special having i-frames amounting to nothing much, and it isn't that exciting even with mel, but hael said that persephone has an i-frame omega special and I just wanted to add that it's a thing for all aspects
Aspect of Circe has some potential with the hammer that makes your Attack hit twice but cost mana per hit and then combine it with Hera's gain, so whenever you run out of mana you cast one Omega to refill it and make use of the extra damage.
All staff aspects take advantage of mirrored thrasher+warmth gain. also how do you run out of magic? Do you use a common warmth gain and not pom it? That is a net negative on mana Regen.
i don't like the change to the change to charon. it's nice that it does damage now. but the change threw off the timing. the omega special charged faster or atleast felt like it did before the change. the new special doesn't feel as fluid as it did before
For me Artemis' Aspect is a S, I find it really easy to use, it uses almost no magick and it's SO powerful, specially against Chronos as you can block his 999 damage hit. It's prob. my second favourite aspect!
@@Ascarion1234Get spiral knives with poseidon, any form of origination and the sound effects alone will be enough to entertain you imo. Chunkiest build i’ve ever played. Downright easy 32 fear surface clears if you get the build going early, which is insane
I need to try Artemis more, but why do people put so much stock into being able to avoid Chronos’ one shot? It’s like incredibly telegraphed and you have a massive amount of time to get to a safe spot. Literally the only times you should get killed by it are your very first run or if you get trapped by an hourglass, in which case a Parry isn’t going to be able to help you
@@tuckerensmenger8001 Have done that, and it was in fact my first 32 fear (underworld) clear, which almost felt "too easy". It's obviously extremely strong, I just don't enjoy the playstyle at all.
I at least managed to beat all the fear checks so I feel absolutely qualified to comment on this: Staff: Pretty much agreed on overall power-rankings even though I subjectively like Circe the most (it's kinda like having infinite magick if you preserve exactly enough magic for an omega for whenever serenity is up, so you have to be less careful with omegas than with the other aspects in a way) Blades: Sorry mate Artemis in C is just actual insanity. Enemies, especially in later biomes, attack enough to make getting them to hit you a non-issue, and then you have absolutely melting damage by omega attack spamming, and then you have the regular blades in the downtime which is still high-up in terms of base weapons. It's certainly not any more annoying than always having to be behind enemies to do good damage. Torches: Yeah this one's fine Axe: Errm, Mel is actually 5.7% higher dps on the main combo than Than? Hello? The attack speed certainly has a higher comfort/convenience factor tho, even with the added health. Skull: I do not fuck with persephone at all (sorry mom) and I like mel a lot for being the only aspect you actually can use the omega attack with effectively (and it's also , but medea is still objectively the strongest, so maybe i would just switch mel and persephone Coat: Does feel overall a little weaker than the other weapons, but man, come on, don't do selene like that, the hex damage alone can almost clear rooms and with moon active + a few auto-charge upgrades you don't even need to wait for it long. The block also trivializes certain enemies/bosses, and the specials are moreso good for supplementing your damage by firing off from a safe distance and then diving in.
Artemis is great yeah. I don't know what's clunky about holding the omega attac to block and then go on the offensive. Though, yeah, it's not exactly a parry, but a block. Could be interesting to see a weapon with an actual parry mechanic.
Artemis just makes you slow down which is what's unfun, the Omega Attack itself isnt amazing since it's so single targeted and the Blades are a weapon which benefit most from a faster play style. You can sag Pan slows you down too but you can get in a rhythm with it and go a decent pace plus it hits many foes.
Mel Axe does just feel slower but I agree it's way better than he said. The Coat Omegas are just not fun to use, in the first place this weapon is trash without static shock, why do you want to stop and use the Omegas?
I actually really like Selene’s aspect. It could use some tweaking but if you do a magic oriented build and a good magic regen it can get really broken really quickly

Dude!!! I just posted a comment like 2 min ago on here saying how fun Medea with Aphro attack/Zeus special is. I had glamour gain too.
I just completed my final aspect at 50f today!
Why poseidon special on pan? What would you pick if going for fastest time possible? Aph?
Perfect video for my meal
I tried the black coat with that hammer , i never love using dash-strikes that much
Pretty good tier list tbh
The axe is indeed my favorite weapon
Black Coat Special apologist right here, there is absolutely builds that make the rockets insanely good😭
roll with Zeus on specials and the Split Rocket Hammer, with Demeter casts plus their duo
i swear you will never have a better time watching blitz damage numbers go brr
What hammer does split rockets? Do you mean aspect of nyx with the sprint thing?
@@nerdtoad600 i think what they mean is the hammer upgrade Shimmering rocket: "Your Specials bounce toward up to 2 more foes".
Doesn't Hail Storm only proc Bolt? Am I missing something, or does it interact with Blitz in any way?
i thought moros sucked at first because if you use the abilities in the order they're written it feels really bad, the attacks bump into each other and stop dead in a line. didn't realize that if you just throw the omega special on first it feels like you're playing as hephaestus
What video talks about the leaks? I know about them already but on a quick browse through your vids i didnt see any.
So some thoughts:
If you look at the aspects as
Than aspect has 30% increased speed on attack vs
Mel aspect has 30% increased range and a bit more damage on attack
Suddenly they look quite comparable, and you don't even have to do apollo as demeter/hera also do more damage oer swing on mel than Than with even epic or legendary aphro attack.
It's quite particular and sort of the most complicated aspect as it basically requires you get selene keepsake zone 1 or 2 to get final upgrade in one fell swoop (8 upgrades are enough for a final upgrade in all branch patterns), but also be intimately familiar with all the pathway of star upgrades, but imo it's really worth it, and even objectively it does not belong in circe tier 😭
And finally 6.
I literally watched this video, unlocked moros, and then beat the game for the first time moros is so broken
My three favorite aspects are all in D-Tier lmao
Aspect of Circe has some potential with the hammer that makes your Attack hit twice but cost mana per hit and then combine it with Hera's gain, so whenever you run out of mana you cast one Omega to refill it and make use of the extra damage.
All staff aspects take advantage of mirrored thrasher+warmth gain. also how do you run out of magic? Do you use a common warmth gain and not pom it? That is a net negative on mana Regen.
imo Circe is a beginner-friendly weapon, ideal for players still learning about Magick Boon. However, it would quickly overshadowed by Mel and Momus.
My favorite weapon is dagger. Actualy my least favorite weapon is Axe. It's just feels clunky for me.
i don't like the change to the change to charon. it's nice that it does damage now. but the change threw off the timing. the omega special charged faster or atleast felt like it did before the change. the new special doesn't feel as fluid as it did before
Nobody going to comment on the sub 2 min run on skull? How?
Agreed
For me Artemis' Aspect is a S, I find it really easy to use, it uses almost no magick and it's SO powerful, specially against Chronos as you can block his 999 damage hit. It's prob. my second favourite aspect!
Same. Pan is just so boring to me (and the daggers keep flying into terrain somehow).
It's obviously extremely strong, I just don't enjoy the playstyle at all.
dan putting so much in the S 🤔
Moros is still good! Sadly not a hades 1 vid.
almost unsubscribed when u put medea on a. it s a tough learning curve at the start but goddamn it s so good once u know how to use it
I'm a proud Circe hater. It's so bad it's actually unusable.
I at least managed to beat all the fear checks so I feel absolutely qualified to comment on this:
Staff: Pretty much agreed on overall power-rankings even though I subjectively like Circe the most (it's kinda like having infinite magick if you preserve exactly enough magic for an omega for whenever serenity is up, so you have to be less careful with omegas than with the other aspects in a way)
Blades: Sorry mate Artemis in C is just actual insanity.
Torches: Yeah this one's fine
Axe: Errm, Mel is actually 5.7% higher dps on the main combo than Than? Hello? The attack speed certainly has a higher comfort/convenience factor tho, even with the added health.
Skull: I do not fuck with persephone at all (sorry mom) and I like mel a lot for being the only aspect you actually can use the omega attack with effectively (and it's also , but medea is still objectively the strongest, so maybe i would just switch mel and persephone
Coat: Does feel overall a little weaker than the other weapons, but man, come on, don't do selene like that, the hex damage alone can almost clear rooms and with moon active + a few auto-charge upgrades you don't even need to wait for it long. The block also trivializes certain enemies/bosses, and the specials are moreso good for supplementing your damage by firing off from a safe distance and then diving in.
_Especially_ the Artemis knives! I get a free replenishing acorn AND free crits? It's so good
Artemis is great yeah. I don't know what's clunky about holding the omega attac to block and then go on the offensive. Though, yeah, it's not exactly a parry, but a block. Could be interesting to see a weapon with an actual parry mechanic.
If you havent beaten 50 fear you arent qualified to speak on it
Artemis just makes you slow down which is what's unfun, the Omega Attack itself isnt amazing since it's so single targeted and the Blades are a weapon which benefit most from a faster play style.
Heads up fam, "bonk" means fuck in slang english, just so you know.
this guy has the worst hats
I disagree with absolutely everything. But continue
I need more magicraft. Seeing the improvement is great 😼😼
