Turns out the Ascendio mod does the same thing as the first piece of code, so instead try this mod here - tiny.cc/SLPFMod - If these help you, let me know in the comments!ruclips.net/user/sgaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f92f.png
wheres the code to copy paste
@@jimreynolds619 Ditto
The read me for SLPF says:
1 - Place CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll in /Phoenix/Plugins/ChromaSDKPlugin/Binaries/Win64, overwrite files when prompted to do so.
2 - Navigate to "AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" and backup "Engine.ini". REMOVE the following line section if you installed a previous version of the mod:
[SystemSettings]
r.Streaming.PoolSize=
**** In this new update the game already sets the optimal poolsize automatically, so setting it manually is actually hurting performance.****
- Optionals:
- Exclusive Fullscreen Mode: Navigate to "AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" open GameUserSettings.ini in NotePad, locate these two parameters "FullscreenMode=1" and "LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=1" and set both to zero, now below any of these create the parameter "PreferredFullscreenMode=0" without quotation marks, save the file.
- Disabling analytics variable, in "AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" open GameUserSettings.ini in NotePad, locate the bAnalyticsEnabled=True parameter under [/Script/Engine.GameUserSettings] , set it to False and then save the file, if it doesn't exist then create it.
- Disabling FSO is also recommended, right click the game .exe and enter its properties screen, under the compatibility tab, tick "Disable fullscreen optimizations" and click ok.
- About FSO:
- By default, Windows use fullscreen optimizations overriding the fullscreen mode in games to force a "hybrid" between exclusive fullscreen and windowed borderless mode, wich comes with latency and lower performance, for that reason its always advisable to disable it globally or per application.

yes a couple of lines are the same in ascendio mod! (one of your script value is " 1 " while on the ascendio mod it turns it back to " 0 ") will test if there will be a huge difference on both values. And thanks for adding it on the comments
IF YOU CAN'T FIND THE FOLDER IN THE FIRST FIX, IT CAN APPEAR AS PHOENIX INSTEAD OF HOGWARTS LEGACY

Thanks bro!
i love u, i was looking for it XD
my guy, u a hero
How to find the file Ascendio is looking for ?
Wow, what a difference in reducing the stutter and having a constant FPS. I have a laptop 5600H with a RTX3060 and I had huge stutters on Medium with DLSS Performance on 1080p.
After your guide, I have it on DLSS Quality and almost no more stutters inside the castle especially. Clearly works. Thanks a lot, got a new sub here :D
I'm so glad it worked for you! And thank you for the sub! I hope you enjoy my other content as well! Happy to have you on board!! :D
Just for information: its says in the description on the Ascendio website quote: "Make sure GPU Hardware Scheduling is OFF on Windows's advanced display settings.". So i would probably skip fix 4 if running the mod
OMG, this actually helped so much! I don't drop to 15 fps anymore when running around! Thank you so much!!!
The difference between before and now is truly magnificent thanks to your insightful and helpful tutorial. Thank you for making the game enjoyable for a wider audience.
Thanks a lot for this guide, my game is now fully smooth around 60fps and there's no stutter. Really appreciate it
Thank you so much for this! No more issues at all. Before this, I made it to Herbology and during the cutscene my FPS dropped to single digits. Since this guide I have never dropped below 55ish. Thank you again :)
This made a massive difference! Still seems like it could be better optimised but not having the massive drops anymore
where do i copy the code
Yes Guys, for all of you that are looking for a proper guide to boost your performances with the gam, you found the right guide it made the game playable for me and i think this will do the same for you as well.
Thanks for the guide man, you are a lifesaver 🥰
Just by copy and paisting the engine text it has made a massive difference to the game on a 3060ti.. thank you.
thank you, you earned a sub since you actually helped me with this issue rather than what other youtubers did
It's been a month, and things changed a lot. The Ascendio mod page says the newest update breaks the game _and_ the mod. But the modder also gives a lot of other tips unrelated to the mod, like limit the memory usage (because the game suffers from memory leak), and also explains that some stutters are due to broken core features.
But thank you for the video. I think it did help a little in my case, although the Troll fight in Hogsmeade was unplayable even with all these tricks.
it worked smoothly for me, I have a RTX 3060ti & I5 8400, i was struggling with FPS drops all the time (~20), and now I have 60+ almost all the time. Thank you very much!
The Setting for Cache Size did the most for me after trying almost every fix out there thanks dude. Funny side note I had those drop Problems with Dead Space Remaster as well and the fix solved this Probllem too
Oh awesome! I'm glad to hear that it helped in multiple games too! lol
Worked fantastically for me. I did every fix mentioned.
Thank you! Even with just the inputs in the ini file, it runs with barely any random fps drops.
Worked like a charm. Much appreciated ❤️
Thank you so much. The game has become much more smooth. I had tried another fix before as a reddit user pointed out that uncapping the fps created a glitch so it was necessary to cap it. That improved the situation for some time and then the game went back to the same nonsense. It was almost unplayable before especially at hogwarts and hogsmeade. This fix made the game smooth but stuttering was still there at hogwarts and hogsmeade. I combined this fix with creating 16 gb of virtual RAM in my nvme m.2 ssd, the same place where the game is installed. That made the game even smoother. This game is very intensive on RAM and my 16 gb were not quite enough for places like hogwarts. Not only did the virtual ram eliminate texture rendering issues, it also made the game much smoother. Now I am getting smooth 100+ FPS on high setting in hogwarts, 70-90 in exteriors and 60-80 in hogsmeade at 1440p, DLSS enabled on my 3060 Ti. People with 16 gigs or less of RAM should consider creating virtual RAM but it would probably only work with an nvme m.2 SSD and would be best if the game is installed on it.
Great this actually worked. My problem was the stutters i had even with 60-80 fps in Hogsmeade. Now everything is smooth even if i drop down to 60 fps.
For fix 4 I would advise doing that one last and closely comparing performance to see if it actually helps, because it can drastically improve or degrade performance in different games, it is better to keep it off and only turn it on for games you notice a performance improvement with it, else you are going to have a scenario where you pull your hair out wondering why a specific game runs terribly, it is also notorious for causing issues with VR games.
Also it was not super helpful if you play with raytracing, however it did get me a bit less drops at 1440p ultra with ultra raytracing. In this case the old 1.0.3 profile helped while the recommended made it worse.
Dude holy crap thank you for this. Ive been searching for hours trying to fix my fps. Great Video Dude!!
I'm so glad I can help!! Thanks for watching! I you enjoy some of my other content as well! 😁
Ryzen 5600x + 3060TI.. this helped quite a lot! I am running a combination of high/ultra settings @1440p. Dlss on quality.. getting constant 100+ fps. Thanks!
It made a little difference, especially hogsmeade runs smoother now. I enabled fps view in steam to check. Still a bit laggy sometimes, but its a bit better. (Gtx 1060 super here, medium to high settings) thank you for the Tutorial.
EDIT: I checked the fps and the max I get is 27 fps, constantly dropping to 15. Uninstalled everything
you should buy a PC instead playing on a gameboy color KEKW
all of this worked in the video out of all the fixes ive tried from other peoples videos this one worked make sure to try this because now my game is actually playable with an rtx 3070ti
just a heads up. if you install in ascendio mod after the alter to the ini. it changes the ini to its own custom settings. and wont have your new r.Streaming.PoolSize=3072 in there.
Do the alters to the ini after installing ascendio
I tried the ascendio mod and I actually got more stuttering especially during cutscenes. Seems the best for me was running the benchmark and turning off everything necessary.
I did only the first fix and my fps got lower. I didn't try the ascendio mod beacuse it's says that doesn't work anymore on the new version. I cracked the game, but I don't know what version I have installed.
@@rafa2657 Bruh
Thank you very much, performance is much better than before
I tried this here and it didn't work, for me the fps drop was the same as before installing the MOD and pasting the code in the engine file, but as a plus, it took a lot longer to render the environment after the fast travel.
These fixes worked so well! My game still stutters and lags a bit but its SO much better than it was. This fixed crashing issues and buffering through cutscenes
Holy moly this actually works, Thank you so much the lag and stuttering was driving me nuts!
Great to hear! I'm so glad it helped you! Enjoy the game!! It's amazing so far! And I hope you enjoy the other content on my channel! 😁
On a completely unrelated note what background music did you use in this video?

2070 here on laptop with i7-9750H i was on low config 50 to 60 fps now with this guy here I play at maximum settings except for shadow on mid with 60 to 70 fps, THANK YOU
As of today the latest Ascendio mod on Nexus doesn't work but that's par for this sort of thing re game updates and the mods trying to catch up. Will try your other fixes to see how it goes, thanks for the video!
It works perfectly, but somehow my main quest is bugged now. I can't proceed from Fire and Vice after it says "Free the Dragon"; It's just black screen for hours. Takes 30 to 40 seconds when i simply want to go forward in this main quest. Any idea why? There was a patch last night, maybe that's the reason? Need help because i really liked this fix.
Hey Jay, should i pick 1st or 2nd fix or is it fine to use both?

Do radeons need optimisations? I have heard that in certain settings a 6800xt beats a 4090
Highly recommended to give it a try. For me it changed from drops to 10 fps and unstable 50 fps to average 130 fps on ultra settings, dlss quality and RT off on a RTX3070. I still have very short drops to 40 fps for like half a second now and then, but its so much more playable now. Thx a lot!

This guide already helped boosting my FPS by a bit, but increasing my virtual memory to 32GB divided over 2 SSD's (use a guide to see how much memory you should allocate), and turning on frame generation with DLSS upscaling itself off (native 1080p in my case) with the latest DLSS version (you can replace Hogwarts DLSS version with DLSS swapper) actually boosted my FPS a lot! I have a laptop 4070, i7 13th gen (with E-cores turned off), and 16GB DDR5 RAM and in the busiest place in Hogsmead I get around 120fps. I also have Vsync turned off (no other option with frame gen. anyway), and FPS cap set to unlimited. When running around in Hogsmead I am still getting those weird framephasing fluctuations while FPS doen't seem to dip, but it's really playable right now. Hope I can help someone with this detailed info.

force 1440p res from NVidia(smoothness 0-10%) and bump the dlss to balance or even performance and it looks much nicer at very little performance cost.

I only put the Text in the Engine INI file and with the Frame Gen Mod it really fixed the stuttering for me. It’s insane that my PC with a. 3060 ti and i5 12400f at 1080p needs the Frame Gen Mod and optimization tweaks to be playable.
Yeah this game is horribly optimized. I the video shows the problems I had on my 3080 with 10gb of vram. My 4090 runs it fantastically, but, it's still CPU limited in places like hogsmead
OMG thank you. I was avoiding the mod to keep my achievements, but the mod did the trick, had all the fixes previously with zero luck. my kopium setup of 3060oc with ryzen 2600x playable nearly 60fps with dlss on medium high settings 1440p screen 16gb ram. hope they won't break it with next update!

awesome tips, just one thing which I noticed: check your engine.ini file after applying all these fixes, installing ascendio mod removes the additions into the engine.ini file, which were added in "1st fix"
Perfect thanks so much!
If we look at the Ascendio - Manual Patching Guide, the mod installer does the same as your first fix from the Reddit post

Excellent video! Subbed.

hi gpu utilisation also keeps going down to like 20-30% which heavily hits performance
What do i do for the 3rd fix if i have an amd gpu instead?
Also the hardware accelerated gpu scheduling is nowhere to be found in the setting even though i've followed the steps, is it because im using an amd gpu?
(My specs is intel i3 10100, 2×4gb RAM, RX 6600 XT)
If you have an AMD GPU you can use AMD FSR 2.0 in the settings :D Put it to quality as well! And 'Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling' is supported on 5600 and 5700 AMD GPUS, yours is too new for that, but that is totally okay! Hope this helps!
After all your fantastic tipps, my frames were very high, but the suttering stil persisted... I had to turn off DLSS now i only have ~70 frames but the games runs smoothly and the suttering is gone for some reason. 🤔
Would the mod work for the Empress cracked version?
Thank you! Let’s see if this all worked 🤞
Did it work? I hope it did! 😄
Already did the engine text fix and that helped but not perfect. Added the GPU override and the extra memory for shaders and that seemed to fix it completely.
Glad I could help you out 😁
well my problem was because my other hdd were always going to 100% while I was playing. I had to disconnect all my hdd from my pc to be able to play smoothly. Each time any hdd was hitting 100% usage, the fps would drop to a standstill until it stopped.
So I tried it.. and I definitely have better performance but there is still a little bit of lag and stutter but definitely better than what I have before I can't wait to they fix this and release the patch which should be soon I hope
I'm glad it helped a bit! I do know that they will be optimizing this game more and more for Nvidia GPUs in the near future. Hopefully that helps as well!
I have a 3080, intel i9, 128gb of DDr4, and none of these fixes worked for me.
worth noting, fix one, the text change to the engine file seems to put itself back once launching the game
Can someone help me to find the third fix settings on AMD GPU?
Nice, thanks for this
Why I can't find Hogwarts legacy ini file? Does anyone have any idea where can it be?
Ty dude , very helpfull
i dont know what to do everytime i customize the notepad and launch the game the settings dont work and notepad completely erases all my changes?
You can right click the engine file, and click the box that says "read only" so the game can't make changes to it.
I really, genuinely, cannot thank you enough. I was so intrigued and enthralled with the beginning of the story only to be massively disappointed and frustrated with the performance drop that occurred with my arrival to Hogwarts.
