Well, in France there isn’t the same relationship at all with guns than in the US... Here, the big majority of french people has no gun, it’s just a minority of people and they can’t take their guns outside of their homes, except for hunt or shooting club I think. So the fact he has no gun isn’t surprising at all.

The Spanish already have great shows on Netflix but we only had disappointing ones ... Until now! :D

Yep it's a good step. The next one is to actually make ORIGINAL characters with decent qualities and charm without just taking pre existing characters already written and switching the colour. They did a pretty good job here though because it IS a new character who is inspired by Lupin which is completely understandable and believable.

The only thing that the show is missing is a strong second role; like Hassan’s acolyte. I thought that the journalist was going to be that character but they killed her off so soon.
i thought it was his friend at the shop.. he said in narration that he keeps those who are true and loyal (something like that) close.
I feel that the young cop will become that character 😏

Thank god Omar plays this role very natural and outstanding.
My favourite thing about this show (aside from bloody Everything) was the fact that the actors felt genuine and honest. There wasn't a moment where I thought "oh, this is a bit much." Listening to french actors speaking french is superb, and living in Canada, I can actually get some of the nuances.

Assane not needing a disguise most of the time is incredibly realistic - you might see someone wearing a fake moustache in a movie and go “Ha! Unrealistic!” But you’d be surprised to see how effective even the simplest of disguises can be.

I really like all his accomplice plus the trio of police! They're such lowkey characters but they matter. I like how their character expands.

My best congratulations to Omar Sy which is a French star since at least 20 years ago when he started a short comedy sketch on cable TV Canal+ in France. He growth up as a main roles actor and Lupin is the most French show made in an American way by Netflix. Assured success!
Omar Sy is an amazing actor! Such a chill, humble guy. Loved his performances in Jurassic World, The Call of the Wild, X-men, his portrayal of Assane Diop in Lupin is my personal favorite, the vibe of the character is absolutely incredible, Omar steals the show in every scene.

I just stumbled across this in my feed on Netflix... and then it was in French... Which I don't speak... so I turned on the subtitles and gave it a chance because the acting and visual presentation seemed much more adept than the average Netflix series. It seemed as though some serious thought went into it is what I mean, and as the episodes went on I fell in love with the story. To hook someone like me who has to read every episode. I'd give this a 9/10 easy, and can't wait until the next part/season comes out... I'll decide after that whether it deserves a 10 because as of right now it pretty much is a 10, but it's incomplete and I'm stingy. I always wait to see a show through before I'd ever give it a perfect 10 so I can see how well connected the story in it's entirety is, as well as whether the actors performance and overall effort stays on par with what it has already produced, or get's better. It's nice to see entertainment worth watching and worth my money is still coming out. Lupin is no exception to that. Well done

What do you mean by underrated.. Lupin is barely a month old and it already reaches #1 in several European countries, top 10 in many countries, and even becomes the first French series ever to get into Netflix US top 10. If you finish the series you'll see a confirmed season 2 already, doesn't sound like an underrated series at all.
