No, it was Vader trying to mentally manipulate Ahsoka. He wanted to put doubt in her mind so that if she won the coming fight against him (which he knew was inevitable), then that seed of the dark side would be planted. He wanted her to believe that if she struck him down, she would be turned to the dark side, but he hadnt thought of the fact that she was not a jedi anymore. She already crossed into a grey area and that seed would be hhard pressed to grow.

The reason Anakin told Ahsoka that they'll take Cad Bane together was because he made the same mistake when he took Count Dooku on his own and lost his arm. He didn't want Ahsoka to suffer the same, or maybe an even worse fate then he did.

When Anikan says in Ahsoka’s vision “You were selfish, you abandoned me, you failed me.” You can just see how much that hurt Ahsoka and she lets out that screech.. Plucked my heart strings just a little too hard.
There was always such a lingering sadness to Clone Wars knowing Anakin's inevitable future.

Without the Clone Wars and Rebels shows, Anakin's fall to the Dark Side is based primarily around his love for Padme, and the fear that she would die, and the Jedi order treating him badly was a side thing that Palpatine used to help manipulate Anakin closer to the Dark Side.
With the Clone Wars and Rebels shows, Anakin's fall is a lot more illustrated. Everything that happened in the Clone Wars to Anakin is revealed, and Ahsoka being expelled from the Jedi Order, then simply leaving the Jedi, really probably strengthened Anakin's belief that the Jedi were heartless. Even when the Jedi were being heartless to Anakin, Anakin made one verbal defense for the Jedi, while talking to Palpatine.
Anakin: "The Sith rely on their passion for strength. They think inwards, only about themselves."
Palpatine: "And the Jedi don't?"
Anakin: "The Jedi are selfless. They only care about others."
It shows that even while being treated as badly as Anakin was, he still thought of the Jedi positively. Even at his lowest points, after he had assumed the name Darth Vader, he showed mercy to Ahsoka, and then, year later, Luke.
I feel like Ahsoka could've prevented Anakin's fall, but the only person who extended a helping hand to help him out of the Dark Side, was Luke Skywalker.
If they make another rebels season. Id love to see ashoka and luke meet

Watching this made me emotional. Ahsoka and Anakin's relationship is one of the most heqavy hitting in all of Star Wars. Anyone who tells you she had no part to play in either his fall to the Dark Side or his redemption is an idiot. Plus Ahsoka is THE most well-written character in the whole of Star Wars. Her arc is incredible.
Sidenote - Honestly season 1 was pretty bad, but how can anyone say that its an awful show with some of the stuff it does after that. I mean, just watching the Vader/Ahsoka showdown is bringing me to the breaking point man. SHE IS THE BEST

Ashoka's leaving was the final punch that filled of sadness Annakin's heart, what also made him to hate the Jedi order. Ashoka had matured and got aware of what was going on. Annakin was still too immature and lost. We already know the remaining story. This is the profound Star Wars that I loved, not the Disney's pathetic versions.

Tbh my favorite thing about clone wars is the four best friends. Rex, Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obiwan. All i ever wanted was to see Anakin and Ahsoka hug one last time. The friendship in this show really keeps me going.

Man I love their relationship. Watching anakin grow to care for her was dope. I remember when I watched a episode where Ashoka was on an enemy ship trapped and he was not happy about it at all. A little darth vader in him came out when he interrogated someone who was responsible.. force choking him while they played the vader - imperial March theme subtly in the background 😂

It’s amazing how powerful the dark side is it literally created an alternate personality for anakin earth Vader physiologically was a different person formed by the dark side and even with a relationship and father daughter dynamic like this it’s still unable to lift the dark side hold of Vader over anakin it took real flesh and blood to trigger the light side of anakin truly again and even tho Ashoka comes to be the closest person to break through even her amazing relationship is no enough I think she also represents his past and an anakin skywalker that lost his wife his order and his children whereas when he looks at like there are no charred memories and only a potential future which is what in the end makes him switch back to the light side of anakin and defend what could be the future for him

Ahsoka has a powerful story. She was a padawan of the most powerful jedi, she learned much... but then the council didn't trust her even when anikin did. She knew things would never be the same if she went back so she stayed away. And her life was taken bc she wouldn't leave him again... even if it meant death.
I just realised how sad that story was. I almost cried
When Ahsoka came back from being kidnapped, I saw Anakin as a Ghost and Ahsoka as an adult, meeting after the Empire fell, it made me almost cry. I don't know if it did happen, but I really hope it did, after everything that happened, I think Ahsoka would break down crying at the sight of him.
His inner darkness came out whenever she was in danger, and her faith in him in the worst moments showed just how much they cared. When they argued in the tunnel, I felt as if the trust Ahsoka had was breaking and Anakin's faith in the light was fading. The tragedy of Anakin Skywalker is heartbreaking, but a part of me believes the Jedi dug their own grave when Ahsoka was accused, and all their rules.
They need to meet again after everything to understand what the other felt during the Empire's rein.

I like to imagine a scenario where at some point during the time when Luke Skywalker is helping to cary anakin (still in his Vader suit) over to the shuttle at the end of ROTJ, anakin says to Luke "tell ahsoka she was one of the greatest things to ever happen to me" or some amazing emotional line like that which references ahsoka. Then Luke goes to find ahsoka and tells her himself of what anakin said, and then an emotional ahsoka says something beautiful referencing anakin. I know it's a Longshot, but I can dream.

Le_meme_ lord the simple fact that Vader hesitated when ashoka told him that she was gonna stay with him paired with the fact she's still alive at the end of the episode kinda show the viewers that they were really close.
Thinking about it, the personalities of Vader and Anakin were two entirely different people. It wasn't Anakin during the fight, it was Vader with a small pinch an Anakin prodding at him. But in the end, Vader was too overwhelming. Anakin died during the purge, and was only brought back to life for his son.

I am slightly confliced on this because I also wanted to get an animated show with Ashley that is a Rebels sequel and I am guessing this is what we're getting instead. I am mainly interested in the story and with it being live action, it will probably have a higher budget so that is a good thing. Plus, Rosario did an amazing job as Ahsoka and I am sure she'll nail it again. Still, I really want more of Ashley's Ahsoka as well. Hopefully she'll appear in the Bad Batch though if she does, I am guessing she will have a rather small role in it.
Will the Ahsoka show begin after we last saw her in the Mandalorian? That seems most likely to me but I am guessing we might see some flashbacks and get more backstory on what happened to Ahsoka in-between Rebels and The Mandalorian. The World between Worlds logo implies to me that we might learn more about her time on Malachor after Twilight of the Apprentice, which I think up to this day remains one of the greatest mysteries sourounding this character.
Clearly Thrawn will play an important role in that show given the exposition we were given in the Mandalorian and I am guessing so will Ezra. Given how they announced this one big story event that will resolve the storylines of all these shows, Thrawn might end up being the main antagonist, perhaps Moff Gideon is indeed working with him in some manner.

If Ahsoka stayed with Anakin and became a knight Anakin would've properly learned to let go of people he cared for and wouldn't turn to the dark side trying to save Padmae this leading him to either kill palpatine or remain neutral which would've gotten palpatine killed (mace killing palpatine). The only reason Anakin wanted palpatine alive was because he said he knew ways to save people from death.

The whole point of Ahsoka was to teach Anakin to let go. But they had a stronger bond than anyone expected. It only pushed him away further

I would say she kept his dark side at bay when she was there but when she left he said fuck it and started to use the darkness more.

@@LucyWest370 ok yeah, but ahsoka usually would try to make anakin see the light in bad situations, she will be like his therapist in high stress situations something obi wan never really did, also anakin wants to be a good role model for ahsoka so he tries to keep his anger in check even tho ahsoka already seen the bad side of anakin, but she would talk to anakin and bring sense into him, and its been confirmed that when ahsoka left the jedi order anakin relationship with the counsel quickly diminished as he started to question them alot more, anakin also started to use the darkside alot especially cus nobody was there to help him control that inner darkness other than palps who just manipulated anakin to use them even more, I mean padme accepts the fact that her husband murdered an entire village, she don't look like she gave a fuck shit I don't think she even listened, ahsoka was always there for anakin well most of the time, but even in her dark moments where she needed to be alone she still thinks of anakin, during the siege of mandalore she clearly defensive and a little worried over him especially when maul said that he will kill him or he would fall, anakin when ahsoka left just started to use the darkside way more than when she was around anakin so there's your reasons.

When you realize the man that was most feared in the galaxy raised and taught one, if not the pure heartedest person in the whole Galaxy it makes it so poetic. The Jedi, basically not trusted by anyone, just being, basically a slave his whole life, who lost everyone he loved already at a young age was reaponsible for the rise of one of the greatest force Users ever. It shows just how good of a person anakin really was, and how good of a father he could have been. Seeing him as Vader was never Harder than after the end of clone wars.
