- Glass gel beads are amazing and if they were not so expensive i would use them a lot more on my furniture flips. So i decided to work out how to make them for my self!
This involved a lot of experimenting but i finally arrived with something i am both happy to use and happy to share.
The project i used these beads on can be found here:

How about mixing it with acrylic gel! $16 Amazon 32 oz
yes you could but its a lot cost to making using the school glue but either way is a big saving vs buying the glass bead gel
Hi! Just found your channel while learning about raised stencils and glass bead gel. Thank you for the home suggestion! Please tell me about the beautiful piece of furniture behind you at the 7:32 mark. Maybe you did a video about it but I didn’t see anything with a quick glance at your videos. What is it? I just love it! Thank you in advance! 7:32
Glad you found the channel and are looking for more. I am pretty sure this is the video your looking for. ruclips.net/video/SAW0S6vidd8/видео.html Its a baby changing table nice little modern piece super well made. Hope you enjoy
Good for you!! You are so clever! I have been doing stuff like this all my life. I couldn't have done half of what I've done if I had to pay full price for supplies. Thank you once again for sharing.
I think we are probably pretty similar. I hate paying full price for supplies or anything for that matter might take a bit more time but once you work something out its a great feeling.
U tried to find the link for this cabinet to see how it looked, but the only links I could find in the description were ur Amazon links?
Thank you sorry i forgot to add that ruclips.net/video/SAW0S6vidd8/видео.html
I payed 25 dollars for my glassbead
Its crazy how much they cost for a small volume, i felt to guilty using these but after making them can really use a lot. I hope you give it a go
You ROCK!! I love your investigative skills!! Thank you so much for sharing. I was going to try and make some with gel matte medium…but glue will be even cheaper!!!
Glad you found the video and happy its helped you. Its coming up on a year since I did this video and I am happy to report these beads hold up just as well as anything you can buy pre-made.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice way to save $
Just getting into furniture art and it’s expensive
Thanks!
Yes it can be very expensive I like to save money where I can making my own supplies. I also make my own chalk paint which saves so much money and well as giving me endless choices for colors. I have a video on that too if your interested. ruclips.net/video/NVcoKQHIB1o/видео.html
I absolutely love your channel ..how clever ..What about Wallpaper paste..I bet it's thicker...🥰👍
I like that idea, it does sounds like it should work and maybe no need to thicken well worth a try. Glad you love the channel got some pretty fun projects im doing now hope you like the videos when they come out.
@@RIA I will definitely be watching 🥰👍
Awesome!!!!!!!
You are speaking my language!
Do you think you could use modge podge with a gloss sealer in it?
Thank you for video. I’m in Australia I did a google for the beads and it came up with silica glass beads are they the same?
I would think as far as texture goes the silica glass beads will be the same. What i used was for signage so it had some reflective qualities which the product your looking at might as well. Modge podge is pretty much PVA/school glue but thinned down so you could use it but would need to thicken it a ton to stop it from leveling out.
Thank you. That makes sense. I spotted the glue on eBay and I’ll get that. I was thinking maybe of adding some pearl mica pigment and the corn flour. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it ❣️
Great tutorial. I'm loving it ☺️
Thank you! 😊
Ooh wow that's awesome I will be trying to make my own
It took a bit of trial and error but worked out really well hope it works for you too.
Thanks so much!
You're welcome!
