The skip button ending is one of the most effective and concise existential horror representations ever. I've never seen such a blatant, harrowing display of the idea of time running away without you. 10/10 paranoia inducing
I also love how it explores how players criticize games. To the developers, having a skip button means ruining the slower pace of narration that boosts the game’s atmosphere. To the players, this narration is just a boring slog and they want to just explore. A really interesting conflict between making an uncompromising solid story versus a streamlined video game.

One of the most mind boggling games I've ever seen. I was literally about to close the browser and play some games but the storyline got me stuck and Slime is literally the best person to understand a game.
this brings back a core memory of watching a different youtuber play through every possible ending 3-4 years ago while sitting on the couch while I ate a pack of graham crackers with some milk, which was my after school ritual at the time and brought me deep joy.
This is without a doubt the best playthrough of the Stanley parable i have ever seen, very normal, you always do exactly what your told, and you think on the same level as the narrator, your reaction to the situations and being able to create living clones of yourself just incase you end up having an existential crisis and going completely brain dead as a result, you are a forward thinker, sure the original you may be gone, but you the charlie with us now, you have what it takes to create high quality content in the future!!! Don't let the accomplishments of past Charlie's daunt you, I'm certain you will be the ultimate Charlie. The part with the skip button genuinely started to creep me out a little. He kind of made sense and he just wanted someone to talk to as a disembodied immortal voice, but no, button time.
That is why when I played it. I spent every single skip listening to him until the dialogue replayed.
