    I would say for those who "don't think this is a very hard feat, or those who pretend to "know" what Kyokushin is about. When people try to pick apart something most times it is because they just don’t understand or they are afraid. So instead of sitting on your computer and complaining about this by all means go find a KYOKUSHIN school and try just a 10 man kumite then come back and let us know how that went… OSU

      Osu, indeed, im still training in kyokushin for 6 years now, hold a shodan 1st black belt, and still get all most fucked up when i reach above 6-7…. of continuous kumite… and that is we use up to 50% of strength, punches, kicks… truly one of the strongest styles of Karate, 100 man Kumite is made for endurance and test of someone’s will power..

    OSU! Hello from Arizona, I will be testing for my 6th Kyu rank here soon, and I can honestly say that Kyokushin Kai Karate is a beautiful and powerful art it is no joke. I always respected any martial art out there but for me, Kyokushin is the art I wish to study.
    I have good friends I have known all my life who have practiced different styles who are very talented within those arts.
    I have been criticized and have been made fun I have been laughed at ( not from my friends) who have said that kyokushinkai karate is weak and not practical in life and how Mas Oyama never did not do a 300 man kumite and all that.
    Well since June 2015 I have been part of KyokushinKai Karate and I will continue to on as best as I can for me. I can not speak for others but I know how practical it can be in real life.
    This is my reflection on KyokushinKai since I started to practice it.
    Hanshi Fred Buck is my teacher his father was Donald I. Buck who learned from Sosai Mas Oyama.
    blessings to all here OSU!

    Woah, Shokei's 100 man kumite is far by the most difficult one I have seen. This short man is a monster, he got tired from the 30th man but his gi is sweaty so they gave him a new one, and that energized him to pummel the next men.

    There's a story in Kyokushin regarding Muay Thai.Mas Oyama brought his boys over to Thailand to fight with their Muay Thai fighters. Mas Oyama's guys got destroyed and they say it was mainly because of their roundhouse kicks causing so much damage.Oyama went back to Japan and improved the roundhouse technique to suit the Japanese build.Thai guys have generally slim hips,Japanese guys generally thicker set round the hips so more muscle mass, more power.They went back refined and owned apparently!

Not saying that this is easy in any way, insanely hard, but I feel is both parties fought it like a real match, the outcome would have been different for sure.

      Each round last 2 minutes. You have to win above 50% of the fights, but you cannot lose by ippon. If you can connect a meaninful strike that hurts the opponent you have a wazari, and that's a win at the end of the round, you can win by ippon if your opponent is unable to keep fighting, you can have a draw at the end of the round, if either fighters doesn't do much, and you can even lost that round... but If you get hurt, you have about 5 seconds to recompose yourself, or that would be the end for you, you can´t lose by ippon.

I admire your passion and I hope you never meet someone or group of attackers who actually know how to fight outside the ring, know how to use a knife, or know how to use a firearm within arms or kicking reach or perhaps out of reach because Kyokushin does not train in tactical firearm use.

      Bullshido Fan I doubt that, He studied all the known Arts, he had a Martial Arts library of over 3000 books on aspects of fighting, Boxing, Judo, JuJitisu, Karate etc., as did Oyama and how to defeat them. I used many of his techniques and they all worked for me. Read and study his books first. He said that Movies Ma would get you killed in the real world. Study your style, really study it, then look at how to defeat other styles of Martial arts. Put 4-6 hours a day for a few years, then comment.

    • @CaptAmerica12
      @CaptAmerica12 9 лет назад

      Bullshido Fan That shows how little you know about him. He could not walk down the street without some idiot daily attacking him to prove he could beat a movie star. He defended himself constantly on the streets of Hong Hong and other Chinese cities. He fought all comers from all styles, in the ring and on the street. His lament one time was it took a minute and a half to knock out his opponent.
      Do a bit more Martial arts study before you say anything against these men.

    Not really, it's against the rules. Sosai Mas Oyama outlawed punching because he was hurting everyone and he thought the flailing punching was watering down karate - You can see this in some Kudo tournaments. And the lack of punching to the head hurts Kyokushin in the real world. However, Kyokushin principles with modification used in a fight, can be quite devastating.

    just one thing i absolutely agree with everything you have said except that you are not required to win every single fight, you are just supposed to be able to stand back up and hold your ground for the whole thing (which is no small thing) if he gets knocked down or falls down and stays down then he fails. to win every single fight you must be inhuman! haha

    Somebody please tell me how long does each individual fight last. Please explain the protocol, and the reason behind the 100 man kumite. Also, does it signify a certain honor or status among black belts, or within kyokushin?

    I think the next logical step in karate is to implement Michael Jackson dance moves into karate. As a level 100 blackbelt wizard that is just my own awesome opinion though.

      +Christopher Wendle Do you need to run around yelling about MMA to everyone? Especially when you tall shit about styles that you probably haven't trained in. Your comment isnt very convincing with that attitude.

      actually you are the one who lack understanding of Kyokushin style ..
      Not trying to offend you but I fought them and I fought all known styles on west and probably several more in China of which people on west never heard of.
      It is about will, composure, delivery, resolve, relaxation, dyai, conditioning (including iron robe.. real one not some sci-fi BS), also willingness to figt, values, unbelievable endurance, ballistic strikes which you cant really avoid or "consume" with any external technique, values, amazing determination and real balls of steel ,...
      I went back from seminar 5 days in a row with my stains of blood on my Gi all over.
      trust me you dont know what you are talkign about until you stay in front of those guys and go with a 2-3 min spar and then 9 more after him 2 mins each trying to get you down ... (not for fun or for practice for real) ;
      I got kakato in my face 4th day... nobody even change their facial expression ...
      I've also punchjed the guy for good 20 times with full strength (torso, abdomen) same thing, no changing of expression and feeling like you are hitting wood board.
