Hi Stuart, thanks for the comment. There were a couple deep holes which left me a little surprised at, but I filled them with coffee grinds over a few layers, where I squirted in some CA between the layers ... Then tamped them down each time. That dealt with the holes. The cracks were a little more straight forward, where I used black CA because they were in fairly dark inclusions ... So it was dark enough to not really make the black CA stand out too much. 🙂
Nice bowl Paul. Consider the troublesome parts as "character" if you can. Interesting back story on the wood itself also. Congrats on breaking the 300 subscribers mark! I'm only at 281 at my last check but I don't have fancy theme music either. 😁
What a gorgeous piece of wood and a fascinating back story too. I think you did it credit Paul. I also love your new intro and outro. Did you have the music specially written and recorded?
Hi Bryan, thank you ... I'm glad you liked the bowl, and the music, I hope King Charles is watching! 👑 Well, I sat down with some music AI software and worked at it for about an hour before I got to the tune I liked. I will probably be hit for AI royalties sooner or later ... So it might disappear as quickly as it came 🤣
Lovely piece of elm there Paul, Interested in how you filled the cracks and holes. 👍

Yes, indeed ... It certainly is characterful 🤣
