🎨My D-LOG M LUT: drone-supremacy.com/shop/product/dlog-lut/ I missed mentioning WHY I'm shooting in DLOG-M, and for those interested, here's the explanation: Shooting in a flat color profile provides a solid base for color grading, allowing you to manipulate the color and sharpness yourself, rather than fighting with the colors your camera has already applied to the footage. In addition, shooting flat footage means that your camera retains more information in the image, instead of throwing away a bunch of color information it thinks it doesn't need when it applies its automatic color settings.
DJI's website also. What is the difference between Full FOV and HQ? "Full FOV down samples from the 5.5K sensor to 4K resolution while HQ crops in the center for finer image quality but less FOV. Full FOV view is 75° and HQ view is 55°. You can select between them according to your actual shooting demands."
Full FOV resamples the footage from the complete sensor while HQ is a direct crop of the sensor...So HQ produces a higher quality sharper image....That's why it's called HQ (High Quality). Both HQ and full FOV are 10 bit. Cheers!
Thanks for the tips! I’m just wandering I noticed few of your footage is a little faster compared to others...is its still tripod or cinematic mode? Or is it P mode? Thanks much!
Hey there! Any idea on how to reduce stutter when I pan, I can pan very slow and it’s fine, just when I go a slight bit faster , there is a stutter... thanks a bunch!
Brilliant informative 10 minute video, Mike! Definitely saving it for when I get my Mavic 2 Pro soon. Will be following most of those steps. Also, can you enlighten me/us how I could edit drone videos in iMovie (I know, I know!) as I'm only a beginner and would like to learn more before splashing out on Premiere or Final Cut
Hello Mike! If you can, check please the video quality for 30 and 60 fps. IMHO (eg. mavic air) video quality is the best when you filming in 30fps (NTSC) / 24fps (PAL). On the higher fps the overall quality falls :/BTW. my first footage from drone on my channel.
Yeah, i've seen comparisons and that's why i desperately need filters so i can keep my aperture to a lower number. Between 2.8 and 5.6 seems to be the sweet spot!
What software are you using for editing? Or is the software that comes with the drone do that? I have lightroom and curious if i can use it or not. Thanks. Great info om all your videos .
Thanks! Lightroom is for photo editing only, but it’s great, keep using it! As for video, I’m using Final Cut Pro X (it’s Mac only), but other good alternatives are Adobe Premiere Pro (paid) and Davinci Resolve (free). Good luck! 👍🏻
Hey mate! Thanks for the heads-up, i think the e-mail might have went into your spam/junk folder, i've re-sent you the LUT file just now. Hope you like it!
Mike just a suggestion.... yr intro. The videos r great during the intro but the music sounds like a video game from 1980s or 1990s. I love yr channel, keep doing what yr doing !
I enjoyed the video and information. Are you less concerned about shooting in a shutter speed higher than twice the fps than some others? In other words shooting at a shutter speed such as 100, 120, or even 160 with 24fps is okay. Thank you.
It's not 100% OK, but it's much better than just filming in AUTO. It could be just a bit choppier, but it's our only choice. Until filters are available for this drone, that's the only option we have, unfortunately.
24 fps is not the best choice for drone footage that will be uploaded on RUclips or will be watched on a PC, because a PC monitor and mobile display is not a cinema projector and has it's own refresh rate equals 60 Hz at most. Cinematic means good looking, but not just a juddery unwatchable mess.
+ Rogers Visuals Correct. For digital media it's the best choice. Pretty close to that cinematic standard to have a lot of motion blur, but smooth. Search for "24 FPS is NOT the BEST FRAMERATE for youtube! | WHICH FRAME RATE is better?" - don't mind that the video is made by a kid, it's nicely done and just 3 minutes long. And.. It's the only one video on the platform it seems that providing the information about cons of 24 fps for RUclips videos.

Drone Supremacy i just bought the D-Log M Lut - when do I receive it? Thanks great video too 👍
You can also half press the camera button to get focus, than use the custom button for a nother function ;)
Full FOV and HQ are both in 10bit :)
Where do you have this information from? Because I'm quite sure it's not the case, hopefully I'm wrong.
Just check both files media information and you will see that both are in 10bit - 4K DLOG-m or HLG are 10bit (h265)

indeed they are both 10 bit. check out the DJI website and the files like mentioned above. it is only a more narrow and a bit sharper
I agree 👍 both are 10bits ;)

Very helpful video. I noticed your app display is showing exposure results in your image. Looks useful to help with settings. How do you display that?
Hey Andrew! I believe you're talking about the Histogram. If yes - you can enable it through the camera settings (the last tab).
Great video!! Can you make a video on how to create your own LUTs? And maybe one on your workflow...

Can you please make a tutorial video on how to use D-LOG LUT?
Thank you! This helps me a lot :)

Very informative, useful tips and very good presentation. 😊👍
Glad it was helpful!
Drone Supremacy i just bought the D-Log M Lut - when do I receive it? Thanks great video too 👍
Nice video. According to my tests closing the aperture fully to f11 costs a bit of sharpness, so I hope there will be ND filters available soon.
You're exactly right! Somewhere between f2.8 and 5.6 is the sweet spot, and to be able to always use those filters will be quite handy indeed.
Great Video. Which software do you use for editing h265?
Premiere Pro CC does a good job with editing and rendering in h265
Great job mike, looks amazing.
How are you able to achieve smooth slow-mo if you're shooting in 24fps?
You don't! If you want slow mo with the M2P, you'll have to swap to 2.7k or 1080p for I higher frame rate
nice vlog
You might not see it on youtube, but shooting with an aperture of 11 will harm the sharpness of your picture (diffraction)
Yeah, i've seen comparisons and that's why i desperately need filters so i can keep my aperture to a lower number. Between 2.8 and 5.6 seems to be the sweet spot!
Drone Supremacy 2.8 and 4 Max... after f4 it’s less sharp
Thank you so much for sharing this.
You’re welcome 😉

Great video👏👏👏
Sadly I can’t find the camera in advanced setting on my smart controller any help would be appreciated :)
Just a great video , thank you. But you don't have the d-log in your web anymore:(
Had a little redesign recently and removed it as i thought people wouldn't use this anymore. I'll put it back on the site if you wanna buy it!
Hi, where do you get the music for your videos?
Hey mate, I get all of my music from epidemicsound.com - it's perfect for RUclips.
Hi, i purchased your dlog-lut and payed using PayPal, will i receive a link to download or something? Thanks
Yes! There is some problem with the system i doesn't send it automatically sometimes, you should have it now :) Thanks for the support!
Thanks very good video you have a great channel thanks
You forgot to talk about the custom picture profile settings which I prefer is +1 0 0
I'm still experimenting with those.. but yeah, you're right I missed them.
+1 -1 0 for me :)
Amazing 😀💓
i enjoyed seeing this video footage. keep going ✌
Thanks!
Hi! Any solution to import H265 to adobe premiere? I cant import the file. Thanks
I'm not using Premiere but that's weird, what exactly is the issue? Is it some sort of error you're getting?
it message "The importer reported a generic error." even i try to change extention . but H264 is work fine.
Hey guys, purchased the LUT from the link provided but haven't received the files yet.
All sorted now! Hope you enjoy the LUT, Oliver :)
thanks for your help
My pleasure ;)
hi.. i've buy your lut but i don't know where to download it.

your LUT in 2022 is $10. was hoping to buy it for the $5 you advertised on this video.
I don't really like the color science on this drone. Too much of a rustic look.
It really comes down to your personal preference when color grading - you can change the look quite a lot with the right LUT or color grading.
