That was very helpful and educational. Coming from a mavic pro I find the mavic pro 2 to be a much more capable flying camera than the first mavic. When I flew it at first I thought the image and video was much too saturated but soon found that I had the settings incorrect. Your helpful tips takes me up a notch on the learning curve.

My Mavic 2 pro arrived today. After updating, my first flight was at sunset I notice a brighter picture and a more colorful sunset (HDR) then the old Mavic.. other than that, pretty much the same. Oh the the landing lights is cool.The real test will comes when I take it to Manhattan and Coney Isl. in a few days (Dlog)

Even at 0 sharpening it doesn't look digitally oversharpened anymore. DJI did a really good job. Dlog M and the 10 bit produce some incredibly smooth footage which should actually work fine together with way more expensive cameras.

Love your vids, as per usual.. I have the air and am so.atuck whether to jump ship, is it anyway comparable to rx100 footage as have one of these and know it's one inch? Air is good as long as not past iso 100 :0
The Mavic Air with the improved codec and image processor is reallz great. You would benefiet with the Mavic 2 PRO on better lowlight and dynamic range.

Hello, the footage looks great. We did also buy one, but in 10bit DLOG mode we have a huge barrel distortion. How do you remove it to look it this great. Thanks!
Well..actually i don't remove it... just had the right shot and the distorsion wasn't visible...
Can you do one for the Zoom? Many of us pros use it for 1080 dollies and such.
H.265 in dlog-m when you shot what about the final after you grade and final file is it still H.265 or its H.264 the final?

Hey Marko.. before every take i touch to focus for the selected object and take the scene...if the actual shot will change a lot..than close the aperture to get pretty much all in focus😉

Premiere Pro 2018 support it! Update it to the latest iteration. Working fine.
I´m a little bit sad about my last fligth with the zoom. Im not quick enough to get home before the rain comes. 40 sec rain flight. Can i be sure about the safety of my drone? I have dried the drone outside. After that it run 40 minutes without flying just to keep the ventilator running. It all works well. Are there any experiences? Do i have to check it by DJI? Don´t know. Thank you.

Hi Mauro, I have seen many videos of teh DJI Mavic 2 PRO and almost all of them had parts where their footage was "stuttering".. I am about to buy the Pro, but bit worried about that. Did you experience "stutters" as well in your footage?
The stutter can be: too high shutter speed and wrong export frame-rate😉
Hello Mauro, you mention you do not like AFC, ive seen other videos where they swear by it, saying it actually makes for good continuous focus as you are flying. What do you find wrong with it for you as to not use it?
I will start using it more when i will have actually at least 20 hours of testing and flight with it to be sure on the result.😉

I didn't have to fix it in post.. it was only visible in the Bird Eye view and i didn't wanted to bother with that. Yes... you should fix it in post sadly..
hi Mauro that was a great video...by accident i changed the values of the cinematic mode as stated in the menu after "sensor state"...now i have BRAKE 49 and Yaw Sensitivity 52...what was those original values ? i did reset to default but this seems to only affect the GAIN&EXPO Tuning...not the specific cinematic mode

Not received my Mavic 2 yet but wouldnt it be best to record in HLG? For HDR video. So you get high dynamic range, perfect light and dark or ?
For sure HLG is great..but it's more saturated tha Dlog-D. It's a HDR Cinelike D variant with improved Dynamic range. I din't have tohe time to test it in multiple flight conditions yet😉

Hei another great video! I have a question about the LUT. I use my Mavic 2 Pro with a LUT. In my travel videos I also add some clips from my Osmo Pocket. Do I need to take the same LUT for these clips the keep the same look? Or what do you recommend in this case? I don't know what to do with clips from different devices to keep the look over the whole film.
I am afraid that the DLOG lut will not work for your Osmo Pocket. They have a complete different color rendering and picture style out of the box.

did you experience any huge lens distortion with h265 dlog settings? how did you fix it if you had same problems as me? Just tried dlog and distortion looks awful :/ :? also to edit video in 265 I guess we need some kind of monster computer :( :(
Did you try the lens distorsion removal for the Mavic 2 Pro? Did you make proxy files to speed up your editing?

how to use the dlog m?
Good stuff. Is 4k FOV 8 bit and 4k HQ 10 bit?
It was all 4K FOV 8 bit. I will be today testing the 10 bit HQ😉
It is all 10 bit. The sensor on mavic 2 pro is actually 5,5k capable, so in 4k hq it is cropped to true 4k, and in 4k full FOV is not. Both are 10 bit
2160p not 4K
In television and consumer media, 3840 × 2160 (4K UHD) is the dominant 4K standard. In the movie projection industry, 4096 × 2160 (DCI 4K) is the dominant 4K standard. The 2160p is only a measure to indicate the heght of the video resolution. DCI 4K is also 2160. ;-)
You're right, "something"p like 1080p is measured vertically. Where as "something"K like 4K is always measured horizontally. 4K is 4096x2304 in 16:9 format. Like for example Apple's 4K imac(4096x2304). They also have 5K imacs (5120x2880).
