Hi steve I have a 25 year old whale pump that I use sitting in a bucket for showers. Been looking for a jerry can that has a bigger than 4.7 cm spout (too small to place the pump inside) so my pump can sit in side. When I used the bucket, water would splash out when carrying. Found one from Nature Explore camping store in Brisbane at Morningside. there Jerry can has a 9cm wide opening just perfect for putting my whale pump into. But I have issues with the switch being exposed to water when showering, and your video has given me some ideas. Thankyou.

Cheers thanks for letting me know Jenny. This is what my videos are about. Not about people doing what I do but giving them ideas. Thanks. I appreciate your support. Good luck with your project. Cheers 👍

Bloody brilliant job Steve 👏👏👏👍👍well done. It is a dilemma that I’ve been contemplating myself lately, the water transfer issue. What we do now is we use 10ltr jerrycans and park up next to the inlet to the van and use a jiggle siphon so we don’t have to lift the jerrycans. It works but I couldn’t help but think there must be a better way and the ability to draw water from a stream straight into the tank would come in extremely handy at times, just to extend our camping time without having to cart water. I’ve already got a cordless drill so I’ve been looking at drill pumps, available cheap enough from meter 10 and Bunnings, will it be good enough to do the job ? I don’t know but it’s not going to cost the earth to find out,so it’s gotta be worth a go. 🤙🤙👁️👁️😎😇🐕‍🦺❤️🙏

KickAss do have a box already made up. I think they have a sale on at the moment. Probably worth checking out does exactly the same thing.

I did the same thing. Most jerry cans have 4.7cm spouts too small to get a pump into found a jerry can with a 9cm spout big enough to put a pump into . Nature Explore Brisbane shop is where I found it. I believe its food grade but double-check. Just checked its food grade
