"He doesn't miss a word." That's cause he reviews lyrics before tours. On the behind the scenes of the Scaled and Icy tour in the video showing them prepping, he had to have the Ode to Sleep lyrics up on Google😂😂
Tyler is such an athletic performer, he was an All-State basketball player in high school and turned down a basketball scholarship to pursue his music. Glad he did! But I think that athleticism goes into his live performance. He also develops the set list to optimize the breaths he may need for certain songs or all the crazy stuff he does 😜 And yes, he is definitely a perfectionist. Tyler and Josh debrief each show looking for ways to tighten the transitions or fix any issues. Their live shows are at the core of who they are as a band. You should do the TOPxMM sessions with MUTEMATH. So much talent in that room. I’m glad they’ve continued to work with Paul Meany and Todd Gummerman.
And the energy doesn't stop, it's there throughout the entire concert! And they are masters at crowd interaction. Perfectionism pays off. You def have to experience it live. There's nothing that compares!! FPE |-/ 💙🤍💙
i’m so happy that he noticed and appreciated the boys’ stage presence and the work they put into it. tyler has said that their music is made to be performed. their live shows truly are the best representation of the band 🥰 you have to see them live!!
I love this song live! Even though I have seen it a thousand times, it still makes me feel good and smile all over again. It was fun to watch you reacting to it for the first time!
just been watching clips from their show in Brazil today and far out do they put on a good show! regardless of the size of the venue or if the crowd is full of fans, casual listeners or people who've never heard of them, they always give their all and this song is always one of my favourite moments of the show because I think it displays that so well
Honestly, I think that he varies the delivery because he gets bored with it. Although he does tend to stick with the new changes, AFAICT. I particularly like the added rap verse he’s been inserting into…”Lane Boy”? ever since the livestream.

And then he forgot them on their first show. lol 😅
Ride is when Josh drums in the crowd, trees is when they both drum in the crowd. Awesome shows
