one thing you didn't really touch on is his hair is back at the end when the mask comes off - reminding you when he takes off his mask, he's still the same guy from the beginning even though the last minute you've been distracted by the music
I can’t explain why but I’m sure most of the fan base would agree with me when I say that watching a person reacting to their music for the first time is…just so freaking amazing! Especially when they are clearly eager to actually listen and understand it… not just sit and spit out a “facts” or “that’s deep” every now and again (y’all know exactly what I mean 😉😅) Cause when they are among those who are actually trying to get it…it’s so awesome to see them go from “I’ll give it a shot” to “this is amazing, I need to see more!” and then if it hasn’t already happened, by the 2-3 songs they are at “I freaking love these guys, I need to see them live….IMMEDIATELY!” Yea…it’s freaking awesome my dudes! MORE REACTIONS PLZ
Often times when people are dealing with things out of their control, the easiest thing to take control of is your appearance. Britney, as we know now, had no control of anything she did, so shaving her head so people couldn't touch her hair and mold her like a doll was her taking control. I think the less drastic thing for some people is dyeing your hair, me being people lol but there have been times where I've wanted a change so badly that I've contemplated shaving my partially and even fully.
"Car Radio" is one of my all-time favorites songs. I love how TØP often pairs a bopping beat with deep lyrics that are easy to miss because you're caught up in the beat. Discovering Ren has been a bit like that ‐ especially some of his raps. You're just bouncing along and then have to stop, rewind and actually listen to (or read) the lyrics. And you never know what "lane" Twenty One Pilots or Ren is going to be in, you just have to be open. Awesome breakdown!
Some say that people that are suffering through depression (as I am too) shave their heads as a last act of control. They can no longer control anything, so they control the last thing they can physically give up. Their hair. Another fun fact: when Tyler says "Sometimes quiet is violent", you can see that he is not singing that part in the video.
Yes, this is why so many of us have a deep love for this band, for Tyler and Josh. They are unmatchable imo. You can't help but feel that guttural rawness when he screams. We live for it, especially when it's live! Fave part of this one is where the fans lift Tyler up as the beat drops and literally carry him back to stage. Such a poetic image - when we feel like we're alone in silence, even in the midst of a crowded room - there are people there to support us and lead us back if we listen for them, for the music, for the hearts that make the beats. I cry every time I experience this live and I'm singing out with the Clique as Tyler moves to and from the stage. We're in unison and I know I'm not alone. ❤💛 |-/
loved how you really dived into this and explained the link to levitate. it's not a song i listen to very often but is always an amzing moment in their shows when they play this one, especially when tyler climbs the tower and does the screaming at the end.
Shaving your self has religious connotations as well. In the Old Testament people would strip off their clothes and shave themselves as a an act to cry out to God. Non religious people do this as well though. There is psychological literature regarding this phenomenon however I’ve never studied it. I will though, next study project. The psychological significance of shaving one’s head.
No doubt car radio is INSANE live, he’s gotta check it out even if there’s no RUclips video from you guys. Do the Rockwherter performance from Germany I think.. or Brazil lalapalooza. One word to describe Car Radio = EPIC
We ARE the few, the proud, and emotional! ❤ This song is amazing live.

DUDE....I am 52. I have been in the pit for this with my daughter five times. FAVORITE live band ever. No one compares.
I am 51 and I have seen them 3 times. My daughter introduced me to them and it has been a wonderful ride!
Apparently, us Lisa's know!
"You need to think = you need to be alive"
Remember that faith was in there too.
He's also saying "I'm dying to let you know that you need faith."
he says " let you know that you need to stop and think"
@digthis18 Okay? What's your point?
