But a 2.3L rear engine and a small turbo. It might be as much as 1966 fun to drive on twisty roads as a Corsa or a Spyder.
As long as it is a stick. Good luck finding 3 pedal drivers.
But like 1966 don't put a bigger engine in it. Might be better than a Camaro.
My 1st car was a Corvair. A Trax is just a grocery hauler.
Well maybe wife would let me buy one.
But it has have push button windows, place for the phone, and connection to the radio.
A/C, 6 way heated seats and steering wheel and auto transmission so she does not break nail shifting it.
I on the other hand I can get by real well without that. But then I never understood why a Corvette did have a automatic in it.
Unless it was a 'Look at what I got.'
That Vette sat in the garage 11 and 1/2 months out of a year.
I know a gal that had a yellow one and a matching outfit to wear in it while the top was down.
But I understand Forney and de us less 4 letter Govmint comp trollers can't allow fun.
When ever it is a public safety issue. You can be certain your safety is not the main concern. (unless the cameras and mikes are on)

Larry Shinoda, who also designed (!) the '69 Mustang.

I counted at least four or five different front facia and grill configurations, have they not made up their minds? How about the power plant, the original Corvair had an air cooled flat six mounted in the rear to a transaxle, and you only mention an inline four cylinder, but do not specify if it is mounted up front or in the rear, however you did mention that it is turbocharged and is mounted to an eight speed transmission.
It sounds like it is not really worked out, but I would really like to see them bring back the Corvair with an improved air cooled flat six cylinder, or as an electric ⚡️ vehicle.
    Thanks for sharing!
Please have an excellent and awesome day!

I had a 1962 corsair back in the late 60s and early 70s, it was a great little car if you drove on level ground but it struggled going uphill or in the mountains. If you put the" pedal to the metal" alot of the time I done that the engine would fall out of the car so after I got stop, I just picked up the motor and put it back in and tie wired it in place

It's a beautiful car, but unless there's a 5 or 6 speed manual, the auto trans is a deal-killer for me. I have a 2006 Cobalt SS (supercharged) w/5-spd. Its good enough for me.

Looks like a cross between a 1969 Camaro and the rear end of a 1972 corvette, with the front fascia of a 1969 Corvair Monza
