Seeing the number of pills that my father takes every day, I am now very health conscious. I will definitely go for A or B graded beverages. Money can't buy health.
Uh,? Most if not all sugar addiction starts from young innocent age. When either your parents or grandparents felt great seeing those young eyes lighten up from their first sugar laced drink. Their excuses? They are just kid so they will be just fine, just one time; not often lah etc but just once is the first step to life long sugar addiction.
@@hiiamtheclydicier Research is increasingly suggesting that processed foods and sugary drinks can take control of the brain in ways that resemble addictions to cocaine, nicotine and other drugs. David Ludwig, HMS professor of pediatrics at Children's Hospital Boston, is quoted.
I guessed all the questions in the quiz coz I drink and saw this million times (the nutrition grade) and I hate sugary stuff and candies I’m a weird kid
if govt put tax or campaigns to discourage sugar consumption, then how about those companies that produce zero sugar drinks with sweeteners aka coke zero. They ain't necessarily healthier amd may not be safer to drink too😂
Means to discourage excessive sugar consumption..okay. How about a a pletora of alternatives or even incentives for choosing healthier, less sugary drinks?
Due to presence of negative externalities arising from consumption of sugar, there is inefficient allocation of resources. Implementing tax forces consumers to the internalise the external cost into their private cost valuation. Ideally, amount of of tax imposed = value of MEC at socially optimal output. As such, MSC increases. New equilibrium qty occurs at MPB=MPC(tax), which coincides at Qs. Hence tax is effective in reducing consumption to socially optimal level through influencing market price.
If human being is truly concerned about health, my suggestion is every public places don't sell sugar drink, implement a hot water and chill water heater vending machine. Bring our own container and Topup plain water and charge by 100ml or 500ml. I will be very glad the only drink everywhere is plain water hot or chill. I do not need any sugary drink at all. Please also stop selling bubble tea too.. Expensive n unhealthy simply.. If singapore govt dare to execute until this extreme, I will applaud that they are really in depth concern your health as humanity else all is lip service.. 😂 😂 🤣 🤣
Saturated fat?? Never have known that Singapore healthcare and government is 50 years behind, are they still harping on saturated fat and cholesterol? Why are the people paying some of the highest tax rates in the world for such misinformation? Have they even checked out the American College of Cardiology guidelines?
Just an excuse to tax. I drink a pack of fruit drink twice a week. For its vitamin A, B, C, D, E as labelled. So even if the sugar is higher a bit won't hurt me. Unlike those who drink one or two packs of high sugar drinks per day, sugar level still high. It is not how much sugar is packed in a drink, but also how often you drink it. If you keep drinking a few packs of sugar drinks per day, even if per pack low sugar, you still hit and exceed the maximum amount of allowable sugar consumption per day. To cut sugar intake is not just as easy as limiting it on foods. People have to first understand what is the recommended daily maximum, then they have to plan and consume below that limit. If people have no such knowledge, and/or are lazy to follow the routine, useless, won't work.
Beverages have very distinct flavors. It’s interesting to see people rate each and every single one of them.
What is ding ding ding hahahahahaha

there is no such thing as sugar addiction but there is such thing as sugar overaddiction.
