- In this video I discuss how league of legends has taken over the moba genre completely, and with each patch they get even further ahead to the point where its going to be impossible for any other dev's to catch up. I briefly discuss the demise of hots and use it to illustrate other reasons why I believe league of legends is virtually unkillable now.

the best part of this now is the fact that they are branching out and trying new modes for the casual audience while maintaining summoners rift as the core comp mode, PVE is back baby, and i wish one day we will get a new twisted treeline map thing or something for halloween

Played league for almost 9 years, I suck at the game and I love it so much.
I have friends who are iron and still love the game. It's one of the best parts to me that no matter your skill level it's still fun.
Well made video I thought it'd have a lot more views and the timestamps are a nice addition. A bit short and the music's repetitive though.

Yeah im new my guy, just doing a humble grind. 🙏
They didn't realize they had some gem with SR, they just got lazy and deleted everything else. Twisted Treeline and Dominion were just as solid as old SR (old SR was kinda jank relative to nu-SR) and had rito given them the same time and care they gave to SR they would have continued to shine just as hard, likewise for any of the temporary PvE or PvP gamemodes that took place on other maps. Also, riot has spent most of league's lifetime doing nothing to SR. There were a couple bush and other misc changes before 2014, then SR got the big redo with some minor layout changes, then we got plants like 2 years after that (and plants sucked ass for a while), then some boss mob changes, and then way way way way way down the line we got the latest big layout change. Also, SR isn't really that spectacular. Red side offset is still a problem and river height still causes bugs. The core of LoL is/was amazing and nobody else had put out or continued to support a moba with a core as good as LoL's but even then most of that is a victory on the back of the old team members which the newer members are trying their goddamn hardest to kill or erase completely.
