Greetings from Germany! Loved your video, you might become my favorite woodworking channel on YT.
    Loved your editing and narration.
I found the outtro music a bit too loud compared to the rest of the video, but that might be my set up.
Other than that amazing, keep up the good work!

Thanks for watching. Yeah I’m not the best when it comes to the sound. Something I need to work on this year. Danke shon.

Happy with the Axmister table saw? Been thinking about getting one, instead of a bigger one

    • @CaptainofmyShed
      @CaptainofmyShed  2 дня назад +1

Yeah, very happy. At the price point I think it’s tough to beat. The Dewalt site saws are also very good but the Axminster is so quiet by comparison.

@@CaptainofmyShed yea. But this must be a proper step up from the DeWalt/Bosch construction saws?

    Nice work!
I built a similar one with a Corian scrap as well...though mine didn't have the nice bullnose like yours. I feel your pain on the thickness of the material. I am making a new one soon and I am just going Formica on some combo of MDF and Birch ply.

Yeah, it’s working well so far but probably in the future I’ll change it. Although if it ain’t broke and all that!

Hi, are you still using the dust extraction from below. Are you still happy with it? Can you still open your saw up at the side or do you have to get it out of your table? I like the tabletop looks great and upcycling is always great.

Hi, Yes I am still using the dust extraction from below. I can still just access one side of the saw but would need to remove if I wanted to do any serious exploration. I think I need to close up even more of the gaps in the cabinet for it to work even better but at least the build up is limited now. I am also planning an overhead system.

@@CaptainofmyShed interesting thanks. I also have to close the gaps at mine. Hope it will be a good improvement. I use an overhead system and I am really happy with it. It helps a lot to contain the dust but my system lacks a little bit of suction power so I have to improve it.

Thanks for the great video, can I ask what power the drill press is?
I’m trying to decide between the two Axminster workshop series they have.

Hi. It has a 350w induction motor. It’s fine for its size but there are times Id like something a bit more powerful. It gets me by and size and cost are ideal.

Hi, yes it was on the Axminster website as part of the table extension kit. I’m not sure if they still sell it.

@samgrant1758 Did you ever find it? I'm thinking about getting this saw but I need a bigger rip capacity.
