    Fan base chased Jordan Poole away, now they want to chase Kuminga away. Absolutely shocking. Overall outside of Steph he has been the Warriors most consistent and reliable player this season and he’s only 21

    I can’t ever remember as a dubs fan the constant scrutinising of a young player from our so called OWN fans and not the media. A 21 year old who has only been given consistent minutes since this January and has been a walking 20 points 6 rebs guy. Does he make mistakes? Damn right he does and will continue since he’s still learning the game. HAVE SOME GODDAMN PATIENCE this kid is a star in the making

      There's a segment of warriors fans that just don't want to admit their wrong about him & that he's better than what they thought he would be. He would be even better if he was afforded the chance to play through mistakes his first 2 years.

      @@Devon1825 Exactly right. The gaslighting is pretty nasty to be honest. We have receipts of people who said on draft night and throughout his rookie year that JK would be out the league in 3 years or that he was 5 years away from being playable in the NBA. And it's THESE SAME PEOPLE who still talk about JK (now that he's a proven starting-level NBA player) as if they were right about him all along. He's literally going to finish in the TOP 5 in Most Improved voting this year, and certain members of this fan base will try to have you believe he's "regressing." They don't want to have to face a world where JK becomes a star and they have to root for him for the next 10+ years. Because they know they have to confront how wrong they were every time they watch him.

    Shut up.caller. Kuminga is doing great and he just csme back after an injury. The team needed to catch up to Kuminga's commitment and effort. Wiggs and Thompson had been inconsustent trash for weeks and kuminga kept them in it.

  • @DaggerMan11
    @DaggerMan11 5 месяцев назад +7

    I think the thing that strikes me as fascinating about the Kuminga discourse is that his criticism comes mostly from fans who tend to privilege analytics in their analysis, yet based purely on "the analytics," Kuminga profiles as a quality two-way player. So when they criticize JK, it's always based on observational statements i.e., "eye test." Somehow the eye test gains validity, even if the conclusions they draw run counter to statistical evidence. Take JK's rebounding. This crowd will go on and on about JK's lack of rebounding, yet his rebound rate this year (11.1%) is virtually identical to Kawhi "Board Man Gets Paid" Leonard's career rebound rate (11.4%). The statistical fact of the matter is JK's rebounding is perfectly fine, yet for some reason the analytics crowd doesn't care about statistical facts of the matter when it comes to JK. It's truly fascinating!

    • @brianbanks8570
      @brianbanks8570 5 месяцев назад +1

      Nope! JK is not a quality 2-way player! Never guards anyone! Commits terrible fouls! Untimely turnovers! Forced shot turnovers while crying for phantom fouls! Poor shot selection!! He scores 17 but his ineptitude leads more being scored the other way!!! He’s only 21… hopefully he’ll learn eventually. We don’t have the luxury of developing JK any longer! It’s winning time!

    The reason Kuminga is not playing well is because they’ve completely went away from him as far as putting him in the post and letting him go to work. Which makes no sense at all. When they did he did great. He needs the ball like Curry or any other scorer. You can’t go away all of a sudden to stroke Curry and Klays ego. Let’s be honest .. this is what this is about. I actually think Kerr has been trying to suppress his talent the last couple of years because he has the potential to surpass Curry. Just look at that last Knick game. Kuminga was incredible. But now we have started asking him just to be a role player and he can’t get into any rhythm like that. He’s was becoming more exciting than Curry to me and they can’t have that. Be consistent with giving him the ball and let him eat. You cant go away from a scorer because they miss a couple of shots. It’s basketball.. everyone misses shots and everyone has a bad game.

      "Kerr has been suppressing his talent... because he might surpass Curry" 🛑 STOP IT 🛑🤡 I'll say it again: Kuminga thinks he's better than he actually is, Kerr and the OGs think he's worse than he actually is. I'll give Kuminga the props he deserves for his growth and improvement, but I still don't see him making the leap on the boards or defense-end that the Warriors need from him for what he's demanding in terms of minutes and role in the offense during Curry's window. The playoffs will reveal how much of a reliable factor he can be.
      He also absolutely came into the league EXPECTING to get way too many foul calls. I agree with Shasky that some calls are being missed so SOMETIMES you need to draw attention to it, but he also can't complain about 80% of the calls every game, and more importantly not let not getting a whistle take him out of his game.

    Great for Hill to flush that AH down the toilet! As for the co-host who seems to radiate all negativity, the less said about him, the better.
    The test that the Warriors can do this offseason is to trade away JK. Please do, and get the best deal they can for him. But this is what is guaranteed! Their championship run is over! Their big 3 are not getting younger, and they just don’t have the needed athleticism to compete at a high level. Blaming 1 player for their woes is very convenient but not very smart. Like all teams in NBA history, dynasties rise up and fall never to rise again. What makes anyone think that the Warriors are different?
    Maybe their problem is not the players at all, but somewhere else if their faithful would look hard!

    JK is getting the limelight and he is now overshadowing the vets and whoever is the fans favorite. Haters cant accept that he became the second scorer on the team and still find ways to question him. Poor JK all he want is more playing time but people dont want him to make mistake as if all NBA players are perfect.

    We don’t need another Jordan Poole in crunch time - making bone head plays, over dribbling, dribbling into heavy traffic - he NEEDS to get smarter as a player - there is NO margin for errors like that in the playoffs - get it together or hit the pine.
