Just did my review as well and have to say that despite not being perfect it’s and impressive lens for the price, speed and size of it. Great video. Just subbed!

Good review Jimmy and nice photos. I’m eying this lens for the ultimate compactness, but think I might end up going with the new Voigtlander 28mm color skopar lens for much better image quality, albeit in a larger (but still small) package.
Hope you’re enjoying life in the west!

Thanks! And wise choice. Unless you wanna pocket your M (which is not a great idea to begin with), the ergonomics drawback outweighs the size advantage I think.

It actually has great micro constrast/3d pop due to having less glass in the lens design.

interesting for sure. I ordered one and might use it on my Ricoh GXR with M mount module, with crop the corners should be fine :) but hey, I will slap it even on my FPL :D

Great idea, if you crop in a bit, the image quality is actually quite good!

Nice images. The Minolta TC-1with its built-in G-Rokkor 28 3.5 will fit in just about any pocket though, provided you are happy to shoot with film.

yeah I love the TC-1, great great lens on that small P&S. Thanks for the comment!

Great video Jimmmy. I wonder how this lens holds up with film?

I assume this would be a bit better on an APS-C camera as the corner issues will be minimized?

this lens was copied from MS-Optics Apoqualia 28mm f/1.7 m mount , I love it , i use it on my leica t and fujifilm cameras and the adapters are smaller than the lens lol and i don't get the bad corners of this lens but i still get some red flaring

You should have bought the ms-optics 28mm apoqualia to makea comparison against this!

The use case you describe seems to be better covered by… a phone 😕

Hahaha so true. But I still think the 28mm fov might be better for someone like myself and the image quality is still better than a phone I hope haha!
