@@Grillers9 You are correct. The original Hebrew meaning in the Ten Commandments was "you shall not murder." It would have been strange indeed if God had intended it to apply to killing in war and then turned right around and commanded the Israelites to launch so many military campaigns against the nation's enemies. The Commandment refers to premeditated killing.
Heartbreaking that a War Memorial has to be behind security fencing 😢 A great transformation, that I am sure the whole community will be grateful for 🙏🏻
It's a common tactic used by local councils. They'll lock the place away from the general public then neglect it and finally sell it off for a peppercorn price to one of their buddies. You can bet they already know who they're going to sell it to.

Thank you Ben and Paul for stepping up and making this memorial as it should be. All too often they get overlooked or people think someone else will perform the necessary service. Thank you Flawless for setting it right.
Ben, you and your precious Dad did an incredible and beautiful job on this memorial! It’s absolutely shameful and disrespectful that the Council allowed this to look so bad. It isn’t rocket science to put together a plan to keep it looking nice and honorable. They should meet, figure out how to get twelve people/groups/entities so each has only one month a year to look after the area. Bless you, Ben and Paul! You’re the heroes here. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Incredibly disrespectful to let it get in that condition. If they don't care about the monument, how can they say they care about the people it serves to remember? That angers me. But you've restored the honor that was lost, and the dignity that's so deserved. Well done, Ben and Paul! It's beautiful again❤

Look at the Labour councils in Britain who have literally gone bust, and we have hotels all full of economic migrants. Great work indeed. However, I wouldn't be too quick to blame the local authority. Their funding and finances are squeezed hard these days. Many struggle to deliver even essential services and have to cut out everything else. Whilst a war memorial is important emotionally, nobody will go without food or a roof over their head if it is neglected. The choice is that stark for many councils.
@@laurieharper1526 This memorial surely can be tended to without having to spend money...... either by a landscaper that has a RUclips channel like Ben and his dad or by asking the community to come together for this. I am sure this can be done.
@@320iSTWEditionI'm sure it can, but it depends on people such as Ben being willing to give up their time. It isn't reasonable to blame councils. Everyone wants comprehensive public services but nobody wants to pay any taxes to fund them these days.
@@laurieharper1526 Everyone/nobody is a basic generalisation and not an argument...... furthermore i don't believe that. I do believe that people do NOT want to pay unjustified taxes. And i KNOW they don't like it, when taxes are wasted for unjustified projects..... And how any council is run and handles its income needs to be evaluated individually and CANNOT be generalized! I for one don't know how this council operates and sets its priorities. Gathering from the topic Ben has chosen i can only guess they had a hand in this neglect. But one would need to ask them why they chose this title. I guess they were talking to the women that can be seen at the end of the video and they probably have a better understanding of how their council works and it almost definitely sparked controversy. Otherwise this title would be different in my opinion. How OTHER councils work is anyone's guess..... So i don't generalize in THIS special case, i merely conclude from what is in front of me.
@@320iSTWEditionOh dear, CAPITALS. "Unjustified taxes"? I guess you also want Scandinavian levels of public service provision and American levels of taxation. Try as hard as you like, but you won't square that circle.
You and your fathers efforts are beyond words. Efforts to transform that area into a sacred place for Remembrance Day were beyond expectations when my wife and i saw the start of the video. You must feel so proud as we do of your efforts. Let us hope the local authority and local people get their act together to maintain the hard work and also upkeep this precious memorial . My father was a POW and saw many of his colleges die in the battle field. Bless you both and that authority should be named and shamed.
Well done for doing this, must be a rough area if the war memorial is behind a barbed wire fence. If they respected it, maybe the local community would have looked after it.
Question- Being a military family, Why doesn't King Charles and the courtiers (those with titles) of that area pay once a month to have those areas cleaned and looked after. Give back to the community kind of gift.
Just be so proud of the work you have done to restore this monument to it's former glory! Being ex-RAF / retired, this is a credit to you both = thank you!

This clean up moved me to tears for some reason😢, you guy’s put your heart and soul into this cleaning. It should never have got that bad. My father in-law severed 20 years in Korea and Vietnam wars. He’s 88 now. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️
@maliapeat6022 Yes I can do that , 🙏🏼
Thank you! Great job! Blessings!
As a veteran and subscriber, I want to say thank you so much for what you do! Absolutely Brilliant!
It's a disgrace that any war memorial should be neglected like that. Well done! We should never forget those who served in all conflicts and especially this who gave their lives.
Agreed. Completely disrespectful. If it was taken care of all along, the green parts would look so much better.
What a sin for them to let this get so bad. I hope it never happens again. God bless you and Dad for such a nice job.
God bless you for all you do to help others.🙏💕🇬🇧Thanks for the special Remembrance Day video.
I'm really excited about seeing Norman's place soon!! Have a good weekend everyone.
You did an amazing job. Thank you for taking the time. You are appreciated ❤❤
Again- another job well done- you are awesome!
Assuming your in the uk there are lots of war memorials that have sadly gotten to this stage in church cemeteries where they arnt maintained any more
So much better and in such a good cause to honour our veterans
What a gigantic difference this cleaning !made
How wonderful you both stepped. I’m across the pond and so appreciate the UK. We’re remembering our veterans today. 🇺🇸❤️
Ben, Paul, Flawless Cleaning, Thank you for your wonderful cleaning at the memorial for all those that served, and lost their lives for us. They can now, and should always be remembered by us all.
Ben and Paul should be put towards a Pride of Britain award x❤
Ben, you and your Dad, are absolutely amazing! Thank you ever so much for cleaning up the memorial to the fallen. God bless them all, and God bless you and your dad and the rest of your family.
I cried. Good job, guys
That's Respect ...Well Done ❤
What on earth are the council thinking total lack of respect to our armed forces 😮 well done to you both .
Tina, most council's have no interest in the history of our country, or the people who preserved it.
stop voting those people in office.
It’s probably a Labour council.
@@Tarananda-mylo…devastated by 13 years of Tory austerity
@@Judep4237
You want to live in a labour controlled city, in Wales, which is a labour controlled government, where they can't balance the budget, and elderly people have to wait up to 22 hours for an ambulance.
Look at the Labour councils in Britain who have literally gone bust, and we have hotels all full of economic migrants.
Whatever you call the current mob, certainly not tory, more akin to the blair government.
First the elderly, now a war memorial. Once again, you 2 delivering results where the local council have failed, dismally.
That looks so much better and brings real respect to the Fallen and their loved ones. Thank you for your community pride and dedication.
This page is the BEST cleaning service page I’ve come across and I watch them from all around the world but this channel is AMAZING…well done guys smashing it 😊😊😊
I don't know how I missed this one! Cannot thank you and your father enough. Found myself getting rather tearful with pride, memories and a shared grief for all those lost in service. Love abounds always. 🙏🤗👏
Beautiful, thank you for the caring you showed representing the fallen and their memorial ❤
God Bless you Ben and your Dad for this clean up and honor provided to recognize the fallen. So many say we’ll never forget yet can’t stop once in awhile and pull a weed or two. Your unfailing charity always touches my heart. Thank you both! 💕💕
Well done Ben and Dave, huge respect for this fella's....
Thank you.
Well Done! Bravo!!!
Great work!
I’d say every member of the council who did nothing about making sure that monument was cared for should be voted out of office!
@@glorybe7500😅😅😅
@@obrien6320 Really
I noticed that. Quite sad ay.
That is not barbed wire, it is only a metal mesh fence.
Just be so proud of the work you have done to restore this monument to it's former glory! Being ex-RAF / retired, this is a credit to you both = thank you!
Thank you for your service!
Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼
HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you for doing this, such a huge shame it was allowed to get into such a state but thanks to you and your dad its now ready for people to remeber our armed forces on rememberance day (we should always remember them and what they did for us). Thanks again to you both, i will admit this one brought a tear to my eye cos of what it represents.
Thanks to all our armed forces for all you do and love and respect to you all (and yes that includes all the armed forces and Ben and his whole family) 💖
As a veteran of the US Navy, I feel these memorials should always be kept up. If not by government departments, then other veterans and lovely people such as you and your dad. I also must tell you, I have PTSD and watching your videos is one of the most calming, peaceful things I do for myself. I'm not sure if it is the calm organization you bring out of chaos or your lovely generosity and your dad's cheeky smile...but it helps tremendously. Thank you for what you do and share with us...
The Fifth Commandment: Thou shalt not kill - May God have mercy upon your soul
@@anneli1735 Ah yes "Thou shalt not kill!" the commandment that everyone forgets....Lets list of the lack of killing in the bible and by chirstians. David Vs Goliath, Samson and Delilah, The Crusades (both for the holy land and northern), Rhineland Massacres, The Spanish Inquisition, The Conquistadors, Salem Witch Trials, 30 Years War, 100 Years War etc. Yes a zealously adhered to commandment.
A word of advice: Look beyond a book written by man and you might actually find god.
I agree with you, it is very calming and lovely to see things all cleaned up! I have great admiration for this company.
i might be from the UK but i have to say this. Thank you for your service sir, i hope you are welcomed to a good place when the time comes. Be it Valhalla or some other place where heroes and warriors reside.
@@anneli1735 Maybe she was a medic, maybe she never even fired a weapon in combat What do you know? Get your high and mighty ass outta here.
Thanks for your service, Janet.
This brought tears to my eyes .Thank you ,without these men and women most of us would not have been born ,and those that were would have lived in a hell on earth .Respect to all .
Thank you for this.
there aren’t words enough to describe how seeing the neglect of this memorial makes me feel - how could any community let this happen - the disrespect it shows towards the men and women who served and especially those who served and died is unbelievable - I would volunteer to help but there is a little problem of the Atlantic between yourselves and us 🇨🇦🙏 God bless you two for giving this memorial the care and attention it deserves 🇨🇦🙏
From a veteran - Thanks for doing this Ben and Paul. You are a great team and example to others.
Thank you for your service!
Thank you for doing this guys😊
Our service personnel need to be remembered for all they do❤
Remembrance for all services❤🙏
Thank you Ben and your dad. As a veteran all I can say is a huge thank you. I owe you guys a beer if I ever meet you.
Thank you for your service!
This guy is amazing! Not only did they do a great job the first time but he came back and rewashed everything again!
He cares ❤
That is what we need now in the UK more actual British People that ACTUALLY CARE about our country
Family fireworks for Remembrance Day. Very nice for the little ones.
Thank you both for choosing the memorial for your "Feel Good Friday" project. I'm sure the family members of the community that served will appreciate the effort.
So sad that it was let go to this end. God bless our Veterans. God bless you and your dad. Much respect!
Thank you so much for all your hard work to show respect for the ones honored here. ❤
Nice one guys.. These days it's almost considered a crime to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, it's a bloody disgrace if you ask me.. You do great work and give back to those who deserve it. Love your work 👌
