  • Hey everyone! A little later than planned due to being in the middle of Snowdonia National Park with very slow upload speeds. It's taken 48 hours just to upload it but here it is! My second video with "b roll" 😂
    It's been a learning curve both with the watch and editing video. Hopefully you find it useful.
    Highlights of the watch for me are :
    ✅ Size and weight feel ok for a person with small wrist (17cm)
    ✅ Clear display and backlighting
    ✅ Useable torch
    ✅ Power Meter function
    ✅ Lap button discard feature
    ✅ Accurate sleep-related data recording
    ✅ Folders for keeping things tidy
    ✅ Being able to create workouts and adjust data screens in the Connect App on your phone rather than on the watch!
    I will be doing a final video on the Enduro 3 once I've had it around 6-8 weeks so can expect that to be live by the end of November.
    If you've liked what you've seen then please give the video a like and hit subscribe if you want to see more from me!
    But if there's something you didn't find helpful please be sure to tell me as I'm excited to keep improving.
    Any tips or tricks on making better content are greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for watching and reading!
    See you on my next video!!

    Finally! An undo button for lap recording. It bugs me as well when I accidentally hit it.
    There have been complaints of various software bugs on the new watch on Garmin forum, have you encountered any?

      @@z.h.2216 the lap discard button is definitely a nice touch!
      But wise I’ve only encountered something very recently where it seems the backlight still comes on gesture based outside of the sunset mode I have it selected on.
      Personally, I can’t say I’ve noticed anything else.

      There was an update to watch yesterday so could be solving some of the bugs that people are reporting. I'm still happy to say that I've not noticed anything that has irrated me just yet. I'm sure they will continue to work out any teething problems when they find them.

    Please can you let me know how the battery life is when you are using the map screen and following a gpx file the whole time. That is most important to me for multi day ultras and hikes. My garmin fenix 6x pro last less than 12 hours on the map screen the whole time.

      Hi. Thanks for your question. It's a great one! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get out for anything that long yet. However, I have been researching this questions. So far I can see that from using map and navigation on all my shorter runs that it doesn't seem to heavily impact battery life which did give the same question as you.
      What I have found out is that I would estimate it to last between 55-60 hours of continuous use on screen use with navigation.
      Of course, things to bear in mind are that it does have much stronger solar charging capabilities (if it's sunny where you are). You can also tweak the settings (by activity), in terms of brightness and blacklight. On the flip side, when rerouting (if you come off track) this will cause more battery drain. All of these things can make a difference.
      There is no question that maps and nav are the biggest drain on battery life so if you are on a stretch where you won't need nav on screen then I would set it over to another data screen. With my Fenix 6S I would have a data screen that just has the time of day, as this was the least battery drain. And the watch battery life was so little in comparison, particularly after 5 years of use.
      I will say that, to my knowledge, you won't find a stronger battery on a watch like this on the market right now.
      Hopefully that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    when you purchased online from Garmin they also gave you a refund and then after it was paid they took the money off your card?

    • @SummitForGood
      @SummitForGood  6 дней назад

      Im not sure if I understand your question. I purchased mine from sportshoes.com and it came with a letter saying I had 90 days to return it if I had a problem with it.
      If that doesn’t answer your question please tell me 👍🏻

    Anyone have any thoughts on the Garmin Enduro 2 vs Enduro 3? Is it worth the upgrade…..Thanks in advance for your thoughts

    • @SummitForGood
      @SummitForGood  8 дней назад +1

      Great question! What I do know is the battery life is the best of all garmins. It has improved solar charging capabilities and it uses the new interface that’s only able to Fenix 8 and Enduro 3.
      Not sure if that’s enough of a step up but hopefully others will be able to comment.

    you should avoid discarding battery, you should charge it when you see 50% and charge it to only 80% if you want it last multiple years

    I wish you got more in detail about how the display is now as visually readable compared to the fenix 6 . I have a 7 x pro and had the 6 but got the enduro 3 thinking it would go back to the fenix 6 visual display in regard to glare . But was unhappy it was not

    • @SummitForGood
      @SummitForGood  7 дней назад

      Im sorry I didn’t provide more detail about the display. Personally, I didn’t think it was an issue so I didn’t focus on it.
      But I do understand that we all have different elements that affect the watch around us and so this just my personal opinion of it.
      When mine arrived I noticed I had a 90 day no questions return form. So, if you’re really unhappy with it you may be able to do the same.
      I would suggest contacting who you purchased it from to see if that’s an option.
      Hope things work out for you 😊

      I'd say so. I think it's much clearer and easier to read too! I also find it easier to zoom and pan with the touchscreen.

    How is moving from the fenix 6 pro to the enduro 3? Is the screen better on the enduro? What else did you like about the enduro?

      I really enjoyed it. The screen is a lot better then Fenix 6 pro without a doubt. I’ve listed a number of the features that I’m enjoying with the Enduro 3 in the description. Be sure to check it out! Thanks for commenting 👊🏻🙏🏻

      @Summit.Together thanks I'm really in the fence of whether to get the enduro 3 or the fenix 8. I'm training to be a mountain leader and love long days in the mountains but the amoled screen seems tempting with maps. I am also coming from a fenix 6x pro

      I recently bought the enduro 3, and I also use the fenix 6x pro, as for the screen, what I can say without a doubt is that due to the sapphire glass, reflections are much more noticeable, in this regard the fenix 6 was excellent.
      Otherwise very satisfied with the enduro 3.

      @SummitForGood  8 дней назад +1

      @@andregoncalves1648 Thanks for the comments! I've defintely noticed it when I'm trying to film it on runs 😂 As I had the Fenix 6 for such a long time I wasn't sure whether it's just that the glass was old and had lost it's shine. For me, I've not found the reflections an issue so far but of course I think where you are based can have a big influence, in terms of weather that is!
      I agree with you that Enduro is a great watch. I'm really satisfied with it. What would you say your favourite features of it are so far?

      @@SummitForGood The main reasons for upgrading to enduro 3 from the fenix 6x pro were:
      - The longest battery life.
      - Screen with sapphire, more resistant.
      - More resistant due to the use of titanium (my fenix 6 already had signs of use).
      - It's definitely lighter and less "brick", and I notice it a lot because I use it 24 hours a day.
      - Touch screen that works very well.
      - More accurate GPS.
