Arcane season 2 has been getting a late hate boner for no reason. Yeah it had pacing problems but it’s still goddam amazing. People are acting like it’s trash and I think those people are honestly just look to be different. Also there are a lot of anti woke people who just hate the show because it has a gay couple
Yeah people have been saying there's shit writing while although flawed the writing has still been amazing. Emotionally this season is still a 10/10 for me haha, but after listening to some of the critiques I gotta agree that the pacing is too quick, some characters needed more flashing out and I would've liked to see Viktor's storyline follow the original league lore more. I'm not a player but the story sounded very interesting so I think it's a shame they didn't end up using much of it (although I love the Arcane version too). Overall it's still been incredible though and it's still my favourite series.
Its called a difference of opinion. I did not like season 2 of Arcane. Season 1 is one of the best animated shows in history. There was a massive shift in quality in many ways.
the main villain was defeated by throwing a glass casing of something we know nothing about at the villain, like literally just brainless "take that!" slop, the entire show is built on these kinds of cliche tropes, it's just stupid when you take a second to think about wtf is happening on the screen
IMO the only thing that season 1 got over season 2 is that it is more contained and streamlined. But the highs in season 2 were indeed higher. There has never been a season of television as packed with emotion and action as arcane season 2. At the end of the day season 2 bit of more than it could chew in its given runtime. The original extended last episode could have made it perfect. On its own season 1 holds up better, looking at the show as a whole I think season 2 takes the cake.
@DrDodo-mi7if S2 is actually just terrible and does irreparable damage to all the characters and the worldbuiding. You guys haven't thought about what happens in this season for more than 2 seconds.
@@za-ir5ni i cant find my comment so its hard to argue against you, but consideing you are saying 2+2=5 im already at a loss for words. I guess it has something to do with pacing+vi loses every fight (she doesnt) + a 2 min lesbian scene
Personally liked the second season more than the first. First season did not do anything particular unique to other shows in the past, but how the characters developed was very interesting. More episodes would probably have been good for pacing for sure
@@DaxstersDangerZone In terms of the large-scale story, season 2 was more interesting, but what was so good about season 1 was that with the story that it had, it executed it perfectly with virtually no flaws. Season 2 was really painful to watch not because it was bad, but because it had so much untapped potential.
For me, both are 10/10. From my experience, it's easy to start a show, but hard to finish it and let the majority satisfied. Both seasons are rushed, but all the flaw is on season 2 because is where everyone noticed it. Since the majority of people says that season 2 is better than S1 (according to IMDb), i see season 2 as a win situation. Also, a lot of the criticism that i see, it's from d*mb people that didn't understand the history of the show, is annoying even to argue about it because they always think they're right.
They dont need substance imo they are super minor side characters that dont have big uses in a story which is something that literally s1 also has(caitlyn dad, jayce mom, sky , council membery etc)
@andrijabulicic2207 the problem here is that arcane was good at giving substance to even minor characters which is what made it good, and when you take that away its kind of disappointing. And i say this as someone who loved the 2nd season.
@@andrijabulicic2207 you forget season 1 also has Grayson, Benzo, and Finn. There’s not a lot to them but they’re effectively used to expand the world building and carry the plot forward while also being entertaining to watch. Compare this to season 2, Loris, Steb, Lest, Victus, that actually are all pointless and do nothing and are really boring.
Aside from the pacing issues, I don't like the Arcane S2 pivoted the final conflict around Ambessa and the arcane. I feel like Arcane was at its peak when the conflict revolved around the dynamic of Zaun and Piltover and they could've hit a home run with that, but instead it just got shoved to the background.
I’d say s2 was solid. It had a few incredible episodes for sure but as a season it left a lot to be desired. Arcane is similar to how I view tlou. Incredible first with a decent sequel
How to explain the difference between Arcane s1 and s2, Riot corporate greed that's all the story isn't worse than before it's more rushed, you can choose to believe it's worse but you are just wrong they were forced to leave a lot untold and only understated.
While I certainly agree that season 1 of Arcane is a Masterpiece, season 2 was frankly the opposite. It being rushed was far from the only issue, there are many more that are thoroughly covered in the EFAP(Every Frame A Pause) podcast on youtube. The one that bothered me the most was the Flashback in episode 5 of Season 2 where its revealed Vi's mother knew Vander and Silco in the past and that she told them to take care of her child named Violet. This raises the obvious question of why is Silco so okay with trying to kill Vi throughout season 1 given what happened in the flashback inseason 2? Moreover it removes a certain degree of agency and goodwill from Vanders character as it turns out he didn't deicide by himself to take care of Vi in the 1st scene of season 1 because he felt it was the right thing to do. He did it because he was obligated to by her mother.
What I believe would be the reason for Silco to not really be that against the death of Vi is because he sees Vander in Vi. Their dream was to make zaun an actual good place to live, and then they had a falling out where they tried to kill eachother even though they are brothers. Silco sees Vander in Vi just like he sees himself in Jinx. He feels that Vi will not only hold Jinx and himself back, but Zaun as a whole. Silco sees Vi as a parallel to Vander, sees Vi abandon her little sister even after just having a very traumatic experience and then, when she comes back after being in prison sees her working together with an enforcer Silco also said in the prison scene to Jinx that he tried to escape his prison by killing his prisoners. He was not going to let anyone stop him from achieving his view of Zaun
Nah still think it was good just needed one more ep before the ending and it would have been great. You guys are just used to watching animes which take way too long to develop characters
I liked arcane season 2 but still feel it was an disappointment To bloated with plot lines and bad pacing and to many characters changes to quickly compared to season 1 and the ending was an mess
Arcane season 2 was easily the biggest letdown in television history.. a season where all the characters have been turned to absolute shit versions of their previous selves (vi,jinx, caitlyn, heimer) or retconned to make them look far worse than before (vander, silco). Heimer was supposed to immediately give a smackdown at the council after the attack but he didnt give a shit, jinx's mental trauma was all thrown to the trash by introducing cute plot device no.2345 (aka isha) , vi turned from a person who hated piltover and wanting to follow vander's dream into a backstabbing/heartless bitch all for the sake of a shit lesbian relationship and Caitlyn turns to hitler for one episode (gassing up the undercity people) and then turns back into normal in the next with no explanation (similar to her flip flop relationship with vi). Even dead characters weren't spared in this disgrace of a season where it is now confirmed that silco and vander were obligated to protect vi and jinx and not because of chance thereby undermining not only their characters but also the incredible journey they took. Yeah this season is terrible and the only people having fun are all the gay teens writing fanfic on tumblr.

How did you manage to watch an entire show with your eyes and ears closed? You have got to be an actual moron to believe anything you have written. - Heimerdinger was kicked out of the council - Jinx found a reason to be something other than entirely destructive toward everything around her and after losing that remaining stability in her life she literally killed herself. (Though Ekko did bring her back) - Vi saw her sister turn into a mentally unstable terrorist who killed the mother of the kind, beautiful woman who saved her from prison. - Caitlyn had to use the grey so she could traverse and investigate the streets of Zaun without being ambushed by Jinx or anybody else with a grudge toward enforcers. This was also a literal smoke screen so they could remain somewhat anonymous so a larger war wouldn't be ignited. - Vander and Silco's conflict got MORE substance because one of them had a closer relationship with their friend's children and their conflict with Piltover caused him to see the hell those kids went through. Seriously how do you miss all of this? People like you are the reason nuance is fucking dead in cinema nowadays because everything has to dumbed down so drooling bigots like you can have a moment to clap at something.

arcane season 2 ep 1-7, goated. 8-9 is where the majority of the lows are imo
Fun fact: the actress who plays Sofia in The Penguin was in the Sopranos as Johnny Sack's very thin daughter
The only bad thing about Arcane season 2 is that we don't get the uncut version.....
