Filming for the forthcoming Indiana Jones 5 film has commenced on the NYMR before moving onto Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland.
The loco used is resident 9F 92134, dressed for the filming.
The shed shots are taken from the viewing gallery above Grosmont MPD on the Rail Trail (between Grosmont and Goathland) and the loco shots taken on the Saturday when the stock was moved to Pickering for night filming.

I just spotted another black 9F in “Young Winston” (1972 awesome movie I highly recommend). The 9F is masquerading as a South African loco in the 2nd Boer War in 1900, which Churchill escaped on. I think the 9F in ‘Young Winston’ is ‘Black Prince’. 55 years out of era but never mind.
Also GWR 1466 is in the film as an armoured train, in a hugely spectacular stunt/battle scene.
And a green 9F is in ‘The Crown’ pulling the Royal Train in the 30’s. Freight engines never pulled the Royal Train, and it was 20 years before the 9F existed, but never mind!

@@Frserthegreenengine The reason I say it’s possible is because if you look at films like the Irishman with Joe Pesci, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino or Captain marvel with Samuel L Jackson all de aged, I think they pulled it off extremely well. Because of Harrison’s age that’s why I’m saying it’s a better idea to make him younger again. Whether or not Ford can pull off that kind of physicality is another question. Looking at his ability to still throw a punch in Blade Runner 2049 he seems ok to at least do scenes like that if not being able to swing around on his whip or jump from vehicles and that kind of stuff. They can leave all that to the stunt men. I’m cautiously optimistic because they are bringing Nazis back and Ford back to his prime. And if it does turn out to be a flashback well at least we get to see it instead of nothing at all. The technology has caught up to the point where it doesn’t look artificial. So fingers crossed this all works out

Even with Crystal Skull all the jumping between vehicles and the whip scenes used stuntmen, so yes they'll do the same here. I hope it will be good.

Mad Max Fury Road for me at least is one of the top action films of the modern era and maybe even of all time. Raiders has got to be the best though and I’m not sure it can be topped.
