If you have a loving family, you will fight until the end.
@Brucer Wayner better you than me
@Donny Baumann If you have a loving family it's fair that you're in the SAS or anything related like that. The risk of duty is there but that's a part of the job. Besides usually when they get a family they leave shortly after anyways. Some do some don't it's upto them.
@Leonidas Walsh If you have a loving family and your job happens to be a part of the military marine whatever you do your job well and return to your family when the jobs over.
How to download this documentary
There is a book called SAS: behind Iraq lines. And the book is exactly this. I was so happy and stunned to find out that the story line are almost identical!

How can i watch this whole episode?

I've seen a follow up documentary where they interviewed the kid who said he did not see them.
Welsh knight Will you share the link please? I’d like to watch it.
Watch.
Welsh knight it’s a. Bit weird for Iraq soldier to show um after? It’s obvious the kid did tell em .
@@carwyngriffiths I agree, they are highly trained so if they say they were compromised i tend to think that is what happened.
Welsh knight bye the media tells no lies so this event was almost 27 plus years ago and the kid they interviewed was probably still 10 yrs old at the time of the interview lol 😆
Was there a documentary about this before...cuz I’m sure I’ve watched one with this story long time ago!
Where can I found full episode?
"Higher self"...
this was perhaps one of the most ill-prepared SAS missions ever carried out... supposed to cut a comms cable but it was under rocky ground, failed straight out of the chopper... as for the rest of it... a mess....
he has a very interesting memory recall !
because its a blown up story. Saw a doc from the locals side. They told there was only a bulldozer around when the young boy saw them.

If it was a solo escape, clearly he was left behind. Besides, since when do SAS soldiers admit to it. Publicly.
Sanjay Maharaj A lot of them do now, look at the tv show who dares wins, and the amount of ex-SAS members publishing books
After a while the military doesn't care anymore if you tell or not.

Full video?
There is a documentary about the true story of Bravo Two Zero.. why does no one talk about that..
True ;))
Because this guy and the guy that wrote Bravo Two Zero don't like each other. They blame each other for it going bad.
There was a book and movie made about it. People do talk about it. Some debate the entire story as presented by the SAS.
It's a movie with shawn bean
Finally someone!
Nice. Legendary Bravo Two Zero SAS mission with lots of “what not to do” lessons that came out of it. “Andy McNab’s” version of the events leading to his capture on this ill fated mission, has been proven false by fellow SAS Asher: Certainly with respect to the packs you were all carrying, the distance travelled prior to capture, etc. Regardless, the ordeal you lot faced, your resilience and strength under Fire, has become a learning point for all Western Special Forces everywhere.
Well done in finding your way out.
south african you are dumb dont know how to operate
@Riley Chuckster oh, so you know the truth. These guys were there.
This is to the Original comment. What did these guys do wrong. I think it was the higher ups fault. Asher story is bs
@@cheekboy7247 Why you don't believe Asher, who made independent investigation, been on the key places and talks with all whitnesses, but believe theese guys, who written two complete different stories (obviously at least one of them lying, if one telling truth) and who was interested to falsificate this operation to be not ashamed for their fault?

It is interesting the same thing happen to United States Special Forces Patrol.
They had set up Covert Observation Post, and got found by Child goat herder, and they had a chance to kill him, but let him go.
The child told a local Iraqi troop unit.
Luckily the U.S. Special Forces had good communications and called an immediate air strike (A10 tank busters) They kept the enemy at bay till U.S. helicopter s could Casvac them.
Moral of the story is
CHECK YOUR COMS BEFORE YOU LEAVE, and HAVE FAST JET IN THE AIR LOCALLY.
They did check there equipment. The radio was supplied by the Americans. Just one of those things that happens I quess.
@@reecewalton3177 Thank you for reply.
Blew the dust off the old copy of Bravo 20, and checked out their Communication part.
You are right they did check their comunications, but no one was listening on that frequency.
So I presume they were given the wrong frequencies , same thing happened to the Brits in Arnhem.
Remember chatting to 23 SAS Sgt in the nineties, who's main wartime role was nicknamed Train Spotting.
He said their new burst transmissions would automatically send their location in code, and this point they found worrying.
That was over twenty years ago, and I understand 21,23 roles, equipment have now changed.

how they became separated, without any tracks or voice. I thought they are well prepared for situations like this one. I thought the special forces operate just in squads. How it can happen, my mate, my brother get lost? Or did i misunderstood something here.
Its not good they have no back army support
They got separated during the night in a deserted mountain area. How often did you march with a low supply level throughout the night in an hostile enviroment? Sometimes, training and reality do not match...
There was a severe blizzard at the time ie heavy snow and gale force winds.
I didn't like seeing men left behind. I guess it's different in other armies
@TJ Murphy My money says someone didn't stay.
There is no point. It is better to leave someone behind and survive. They are operating far behind enemy lines and have no support.
Survival...No matter how Hard..or the Cost..
Every body left behind...

better stories about the regiment out there. Yemen, libian embassy, world war 2 during it's birth are very eye opening to help beat Rommel and his panzer's
PLEASE PROVIDE IN HINDI
34 countries fight with one country ?
Ok
this was a movie with lord eddark stark (king of the north) right?
Looks like he left all his men behind
well he is kinda of hated by them now, there are some holes in his story of escape and he came out from the all thing looking kinda shady, I think in general the SAS has aligneted him. sorry for typos. he was not in command and they weren't his men, but 3 men died and the other captured, how he got to be alone from the 2 left with him smells rotten to me.
How was it his fault? He was not in command of the squad at the time and it should of been tasked to the actual COMMANDER of the squad who did not do his job properly
Lol he looked back and everyone was gone. Well slow down, Carl pilinkton
Surprised they let soldiers involved
In those situations marry
Surely single men would be more
Suited for that kind of combat
No wife or children to be left alone
Iraq was much unlucky as they lost sad am by devil tracks of us
Went to the enemy territory, and running back without even completing the mission. Any forces can be a special forces in this situation - no need to complete the mission, just running away
Well, it's a good tradition of anglosaxon special forces to fail missions because of some local shepherds.
Operation bravo two zero. One of the UK's most decorated mission by the sas. Also Andy McNabb was the most highly decorated soldier in the british army who was the leader of this mission.
so 8 adult men could not capture one kid and keep him quite, well played :)

A well known story within the military, unfortunately Andy’s recollection of events are heavily contradicted by the rest of the SAS patrol leaving much controversy around his credibility but I wasn’t there and can only comment on what I’ve read but I can certainly tell you the book bravo two zero isn’t worth the read
