    bought the fasttrack last year and i love it. actually bought two as i got one for my brother as well. it's been great. they track great, they maintain a good speed and they are incredibly stable making it great as a first kayak if you're just getting into kayaking and you really don't have to worry at all about tipping, getting in an out and great for kids because of that stability. we've taken them on slow moving rivers, small reservoirs and on somewhat choppy water on lake ontario and lake huron and they did great in each instant. as a woman, i love that i can just throw it in the back seat and go without needing help carrying it. i also love the versatility of being able to either go solo or put in the extra seat and go out with my niece and there is easily enough room for an adult and child and even for two adults with space to spare. also great they ship to canada and i had no trouble at all with the shipping and the customer service was great when i did have questions. would highly recommend and have to people who have approached me about the kayak.

    I bought the Sea Eagle 385FT in 2012. We're using it each weekend from May to November, salt and fresh water. And my word - this boat has a high quality and good design.

    I havFastTrack 465 now for just over two years now and must say, it is an eye catcher when ever I go out to paddle. One of the things I hear most is that people didn't know there were inflatables so well made. It tracks great and I can easily keep up with hard shell SOTs. I used to have a Hobie SOT, and considering the time putting it in racks and securing it and vice versa, inflating the SE is so much faster. I have "converted" several people over to Sea Eagle. Also the customer service is great.

    I've had two seaEagles, a less expensive one and the fast track and I wish I had just bought two fast tracks as the difference is pronounced and well worth the extra cost. Tremendous customer service, tremendous kayaks..

    If only it was this easy... For one person this is a long, heavy beast in its deflated form. I folded it exactly like this but it was one big heavy lump instead of the compact, neatly folded specimen you see here. The floor doesn't slide around that easily, it has some weight and resistance, so it is a pain in the butt to align to each end and under the pontoons. The skeg doesn't slide in unless you pound it in, and the locking tab won't slide in at all. I always folded carefully so as not to bend the skeg base so it isn't that. But once inflated it is a quality boat. Just know it takes practice.
    One important tip: Pay close attention to the inflation valve instructions in this video. You must turn the valve counterclockwise so it pops up before you insert the hose and turn right to lock it in. If you don't, the air will instantly deflate the second you turn the hose left and pull it out.

    Mine goes for it's maiden voyage tomorrow. I have watched this video until I think I have it. (And I didn't realize you could put the paddles, pump and seats in the bag or use it for a backpack.)

    Great, very helpful video! Thank you for posting. We had it out only once and really enjoyed the performance...waiting for another sunny day (could be a long wait here in Oregon). We've had lots of boats, and this one is by far the best inflatable we've owned. Tracks great and reasonably fast too. One thing though, I'm not able to get the wrinkles out from under the boat no matter how hard I "punch" or massage. Can you please share any further tricks? I've feared putting 10psi in the inflatable keel...maybe that's it? Do you recommend the full 10psi in the floor?

      Aloha @HRmicroimaging and mahalo for watching! We're thrilled to hear you love your FastTrack. The wrinkles should come out with time. Give this a try. Once inflated, straddle the side chambers (one foot on the floor, the other on the outside of the kayak) and walk around the kayak while pulling up on the side chambers. Getting the wrinkles out is more about the positioning of the fabric in relation to the floor and warmer days will help. We truly appreciate you and hope you'll consider subscribing to Sea Eagle Boats RUclips Channel for more informative videos and new product releases to come!

    Hi, I just got the current model of the FastTrack 385 and really like it, both quality-wise and the huge versatility! But what is the working pressure of the needle-knife keel, though? It it the same drop-stitch material as the floor, i.e. 10 psi? Because if I inflate only to ~4 psi, it seems to be losing pressure over the course of just a few hours (I already put on some soap, but apparently there are no bigger leaks...)

      Hi Felix, thank you for watching. We are thrilled you love your FastTrack. The external keel is made of drop stitch construction and you can inflate it up to 10 psi. If you continue to have issues please reach out to Jerry Allen in Technical Support via email to Jerry@SeaEagle.com or 1-800-748-8066 and ask for him. Wishing you many wonderful and safe days on the water. We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats RUclips Channel for more informative videos to come!

    what about running aground with the skeg

    • @SeaEagleBoats
      @SeaEagleBoats  3 года назад

      Many paddle without the skeg which provides a shallower draft but of course that requires more skilled paddling. Thanks for watching!
