honestly, to me, if a place is decluttered and functional, thats aesthetically pleasing to me! you can definately see all the hard work and effort put into it. its so motivating! 😘💪🤞

Realizing that I was more stressed out by having to manage all the STUFF in my house than having to potentially re-purchase something if I randomly needed it a year or two down the road was huge for me!!

Making the bed is a pleasure for me. When your bed is made it’s like half the room is cleaned already. Even if the entire room is spotless when the bed isn’t made the room looks trashed. I am team no chop, it feels tidier without it.
Also I think your closet is totally esthetically pleasing!! I love how it’s set up and your eye for detail.
Pillows are for hugging, not chopping. Chopping is for vegetables because hugging a cauliflower is just weird.😁😎

Hi there! Dennis here from the UK. I... Love... Cushions on the bed. They add depth and you can reflect your personality from your choice of cushion covers to textures and prints. I actually don't chop mine. I personally prefer the fullbodied and chucky look of the cushions.
I actually don't dust as often. I kind of let it build up to the point when I can see, then I will dust my surfaces haha... My house is fairly minimal so it doesn't take long to do the bedrooms. The lounge does take a bit longer when moving things around.

Oh man, I feel you on the laundry part! .. I used to always be in the habit of washing and then folding and putting clothes away but for the last 6 months or more I was just leaving the clean clothes in a large bin and the laundry baskets .. The past 2 days I got back to the old routine and it feels soooo much better!! ... Sadly since I wasn't doing my routine I have lost a number of socks 😂😂😂

A good way I’ve found for my spices and herb s buying the same brand in glass jars everything looks uniform and fit very nicely on any type system. My system is in a drawer on a platform that the bottles fit horizontally at a slight angle. I only put what I cook with there along with sharp knives and anything else that’s sharp and a can opener. The baking spices are with the baking pans and most everything used to bake. The baking spices fit into a small round cake pan stacked on top of the pans.
Me trying to figure out why I deep cleaned a carpet in the winter and am ready to dust the whole house(the chores I like the least) and reorganizing Christmas decorations so they take up less space. It these videos. I watch this channel and it puts my mind in the spaceof yeah I can do that cleaning I've been procrastinating for months. And I do it!

First time viewing your video's. I love the de-clutter mode. I normally don't make my bed either as its upstairs and no one sees it other than myself or husband. But I don't add a ton of pillows nor do I chop my pillows. Weather depresses me especially rainy days or winter snowy days. My productive days are sunnier days. I've learned a few things from your already and to get rid of what you really don't need and just and on to. I will have many donations /boxes /bags in a few short weeks.

You could still rip out the cabinets in the kitchen. Just choose an option that allows you to have pull out drawers with power in the space. Then your appliances can remain in the same space but with closed doors.
I don't have lots of pillows on our bed at all. Just the ones we sleep with. I have a big comforter that I pull up over the pillows and straighten. It's neat looking and I can make our bed in about 30 seconds.

Yes, like who needs to take the time to fold underwear. It is so much easier and better when you let some of that go. Or like I have just a basket for my socks, I still pair them up and all but then they chill in a basket with only socks. game changer!

No chop…. I finally settled on and keep up on the laundry every other day, with smaller loads that get cleaner than big packed loads!

Great sized closet, am jealous. Is there another half for your partner's stuff? Kids like to see the plushies! I, too like the idea of kitchen is closed! I can't relax in the evening if dishes aren't done, stove etc clean. Routine is nice but don't forget to just live!

If I can replace it for $20 or less and in 20 minutes or less then it’s a donate/toss. I use my thrift store as my storage. If i REALLY need extra plates they are storing them for me. I just have to buy them quick lol

I don’t have anything against chopping a pillow I just don’t do that to mine. Some people like the way a chopped pillow looks , I just prefer a fluffy natural looking pillow instead.

Where are the lamps on your nightstands from?
NO CHOP! 😂 Like...a gentle chop to make it look "finished" maybe but the sharp, perfect V...I can't do it. My mom is an interior designer and it drives her nuts too. She said it started as a way to make your pillows look lived in and comfy instead of new, perfect squares. But now people do the chop so perfectly it defeats the purpose. But also everyone gets to do what makes them happy 😊

Where did you get your nightstands?
Team No Chop! I would otherwise be sitting there eye-twitching, wanting to straighten them out. I like to flip my pillows from the front to back side and then rotate 180 degrees. I find this keeps them from sagging over time.
I'm no chop in the bedroom - but if you are going to chop - you need to make sure that the pillow itself is filled with feathers/down... it doesn't work well otherwise.

As someone who has only 4 pairs of shoes, I needed to laugh when you said „I‘m not a big shoe person, I only got my 10 pairs“ while you were sorting 6 pairs of beige/white sneakers. 😂 but pls don’t feel offended. If you love your shoes, you should totally keep them

which dyson are you using? Mine won't even work well on an area rug.

I’m not a chopper because we don’t have decorative pillows. We have dogs…one is very large. He likes to root in the pillows & knock them in the floor 😂
I never ever chop! I don’t like the way it looks. I buy bigger size insert pillows so it looks comfortable and not baggy that it needs a chop!
