    Sat Shri Akaal Jagraj, I am a 15 year old boy, I live in punjab, Hoshiarpur. I study at a convent school, St. Joseph`s Convent School, a cristian school. When I was a kid I used to get fascinated by western culture and gelled haircuts so I cut my hair when I was in grade 4 (9 yr.s old).I started being gangster of the class . I beat people for no reason . My peace of mind got lost.Then in my later years of my life I regret what I had done . I started discovering myself . So a year ago I went to Darbar Sahib ,Amritsar. I dont know what happened but some power compelled me to take a vow infront of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. So I turned into Sikh again(though not a baptised one). This has so much effect on my life . I dont care how I look to others , what matters to me is atleast I am at peace. I am away to so many vices . I have decided to take amrit but I think I should not . I try to implement these changes into me as it is. Because earlier I was a kid but now I am a grown up.I got forgiven earlier being a child so I dont sant to take a risk betraing my GURUS. I want to take my time . plzz reply and help Jagraj Singh. Btw my name is Bharatveer Singh Judge

    Basics of Sikhi,
    I have a question. Although I am not yet a baptized Sikh , I am trying to live my life according to Gods teachings already. I have a question about piercings, such as nose and ear piercings. Are they allowed, if I were to ever be part of the Khalsa , or no? Currently I have nose and ear piercings but am happy to give them up, should Gurbani state they are not encouraged.

    • @darkroastedbeans8310
      @darkroastedbeans8310 7 лет назад +4

      no they are not allowed:)

    • @khushwantsingh1286
      @khushwantsingh1286 7 лет назад +4

      Actually discipline calls for no piercing and baptised sikhs have elevated themselves and refrain from piercing, but dont let that make it a showstopper

    • @khushwantsingh1286
      @khushwantsingh1286 7 лет назад +2

      you have to realise that you're body is holy and piercing is spoiling it.

    • @hk2336
      @hk2336 7 лет назад +3

      in gurbani it doesnt say do this dont do this but it does say the best piercings and jewels are to praise God and live in his will. but baptised Sikhs are not allowed to wear piercings. Because the same principle that says we must not cut our hair applies to piercings and jewelery

    • @tiaberry4652
      @tiaberry4652 7 лет назад +5

      Thank you so much for your advice. I definitely have no problem with refraining from body jewelry if God says it is the right thing to do . Additionally, can you or any Gur Sikh tell me if it is okay to wear a turban with patterns on it,such as floral etc? I know that Dastar is not a fashion accessory so I would not want to do the wrong thing.

      the point is to make people aware abt Sikhi, hope you got the message; its not abt winning or losing; we dont think like that. People are endlessly talking abt god without even knowig him, hence we say that you yourself try to know God, as he cannot be explained, human language and reasoning is limited.
      anyways we're ok if you feel that Islam is greater or greatest and that you know everything, you can live in a fools paradise
