I also have a 2000 10.6 Bigfoot camper and looking to add a short deck like yours and and was thinking of attaching it the same way. Glad to see it works. Good job. Also congrats on the judge ruling the AWB unconstitutional.
The rear bumper step looks awesome, you did a great job! As I'm sure you know be careful having that grill too close to the fiberglass. Not sure if you were talking about storing the grill or using the grill on the bumper. Safe travels!
Do know if Bigfoot uses aluminum for their rear deck? I can’t believe that the factory deck would weigh over 100 pounds. Wow. I’m going to be mounting my Honda i2000 on the deck so mine will be a little deeper than 16 inches. And then I’ll add some stop and tail lights as well to the deck because the Honda will cover up my “camper lights”.
That’s a lot of weight .That’s 78 pounds of supplies you have to leave behind.Iam going to take the whole back seat out. The bottom and back of seat and that would give you more space and lose the weight that bumper added on .
Great looking bumper. I’m in the process of designing a bumper for my 2005 Bigfoot. Did you happen to weigh the new bumper. I see you guys went with steel. I was thinking aluminium because of the weight but if the steel option didn’t add to much extra, I’d love to go that direction.
I have the 2006 BF 25c9.6 that had the pull out according style steps, I replaced it with the fold up steps from Step Above, I got the 4 step setup wish they made a five step, also no hand rail as the one on the camper works just fine, did have to release the gas shock on the door so it opens wider, but not a big deal as I always keep it open with a bungee cord, to make up the first step I used two steps from the olds ones with six inch high sides so it fits in the basement, all I do is put it on the ground first and let the steps come down on it, works great best investment I made on the camper yet. I also put a 750 lb capacity hitch carrier it fits under the steps perfectly, can put the steps down and they rest on the carrier edge, so need to put the first step down when not required like in parking lots. I did both for around $800 cdn.
Sounds good. Since then I got the Torklift Glow step which work really good. I also got the Torklift glow glide handle. They work really well. We will do a follow up soon

Thanks and good luck. I contacted Bigfoot and was about to go that route but was very expensive. Thanks for noticing my shirt.
Just bought an older bigfoot camper and was trying to figure out how to do something similar. Yours came out really nice. Hopefully mine will.
Did you get your rear deck built? Ours is three years old and still holding up great. We want to get it powder coated now that we know we love it.

Thanks and yes just storing the grill there.
That turned out nice I trying to figure something for my rig
Oops. Missed the part when you guys said it weighs 78 pounds. Not bad. Thanks.
I was thinking aluminum too but it costs more and I don't have a welder for that yet. The factory one weighs about 110lbs.

One last thing, what wall thickness tubing did you use. 2X2X ? Thanks again
2"x2" 1/16" thickness

Final weight was just under 80 pounds
