The truck build takes me back. I did a frame off restoration on a 66 Chevy PU back in the day and followed a lot of the same steps you guys are doing like applying mud to the frame before I primed and painted it. I loved that truck. I lowered it but we didn't slam our vehicles like they do now or use air bags but it had a nice static stance. Lovin the content guys
We can appreciate a nice clean lowered truck! They don't always have to be slammed. It just seems like that's what we're addicted to lol Glad to give you dose of nostalgia with this one!
Man, Mikey really got to flex his fabrication muscles in this one, it's like he knows what he's doing. For matching the patina on the fenders & stuff, I saw an awesome video, I think it was done by...never mind!
My father had a ‘66 short bed fleetside back in the 80’s it was a show truck with the wild scallops paint scheme and all, I miss that truck, even more I miss my father….r.i.p Dad
Thanks so much! That's what we're trying to show. It's definitely all doable if you have the time and patience. It doesn't hurt to never be afraid to ask for help either!
Hey guys, loving it but I do have one little thing i would have done differently on that engine. I noticed when you did the timing gear that you used the crappy chain tensioner. There's a much better "Batwing" shaped one that bolts in the middle of the upper and lower gear. Its the one from an LS2. These aren't prone to failure like the type you used (your type fails and ends up in the sump) Anyway, something to keep in your mind for the next LS. Its not an expensive mod, and its cheap insurance.
i got my brand new silverado ltz, but i’m thinking my next one might just be a built classic. it’d be a hell of a lot more reliable than my 64 c10 project that’s for sure!
Them spraying paint outside is a huge indicator they are not in California lol. Shit here in Houston you get a big fine too lol. That’s why most under the table painters paint at night lol
Hey Darn Nice Build I Have A 2003 Chevy Silverado Short Wheel Base It Had A 4.3 It Was Knocking So Pulled It Out Can I Replace It With One Like That Without Any Problems Thanks
Wont you need different Rocker arms since you are going from a Beehive Spring to a traditional valve spring? I know on mine, the rocker would make contact with the spring.
I have a question for you guys. Why do you guys mostly use LS engines? Oh and I rarely see you guys do a full paint job on these hotrod builds🤷🏼♂️ curiosity I guess😅
Because they are awesome engines, small, lightweight and produce good HP & Torque. Plus they have probably the biggest aftermarket parts support/options of any motor ever produced.
Yeah where's Tim Been This new guy David He seems to be a good Fabricator and welder I just think he lacks Creativity Like the last couple episodes the plain metal Box for the air ride The funky shaped air bag mounts Tim would of done something clever did some bead rolling or something just instead of plain
That’s not a 6.2L LS3. True LS3 did not have DOD. The 6.2L L9H truck engine did not have DOD ether not sure about the 6.2L L99 engine it may have had DOD
says you are running a LS3... but you are removing the VVT... as far as i know there was no LS3 ever with vvt... so you may have a L92 or a L99 not a ls3... even tho they are both 6.2 ... there not the same as a LS3....

Great build Mike! Andrew, Thanks man! David good work!
It happens! All we can do is adjust and adapt! Thanks for all the support
@@SalvagetoSavage wait when did Tim leave??
The music during the frame cleanup set a nice tone. These videos are very pleasant to watch. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for the feedback! We like knowing what y'all like so we can make sure to keep being better!

Thank you for showing the LS build. So much difference from the 70’s SBC I used to build
We're glad you enjoyed it!
That ceiling fan is huuuuuuuge😂😂
If you ever had a fear of a ceiling fan falling from the ceiling when it's on high speed, this shop is not the shop for you! lol
Lova how you attack the rust section, delete it and make it look 👀 easy. Súper nice job 👍
It only looked easy cause the footage was sped up. It's just a lot of time and patience to work that metal! Thanks for the support!
Mikey ... dude ... got way too much respect for you and the crew. Always knocking it out the park and getting the job done.
Thanks so much!
Nice work Mike & Andrew - Loveit!!!
Much appreciated!
Looking killer man
Thank you!
I love this channel and I love that yall spend a little extra time to clean that frame up b4 paint. Great video!!!

Glad to see your work.,

Nicely done S2S. This build has been entertaining to watch. 🤙🤙🤙
Glad you enjoy it!!

Woot. Day made, a new S2S vlogs!
Thanks so much for watching!
62 with a 6.2, hell yeah! The 62 times 2
the six deuce deuce!
Awesome build fram would've looked cool in beige like the truck but you can't go wrong with satin black.
With how low the truck sits, you're rarely ever going to get a peek at that frame! But true! A color matched frame would look sick
I absolutely LOVE those wheels, they look amazeballs. I wanna build something like your travelall, but with an OM606 diesel instead of an LS.
A diesel wagon would be sick! And everything looks killer on those Detroit Steel wheels!
great work guys! you’re flying along!
We should have her rolling down the road in no time!
another action packed episode!! great work S2S TEAM!!
Don't forget the transmission/driveshaft under the cab truck that needs to be fabricated.
intro is FIRE!
Thank you!
Love that u guys always go above and beyond for all the builds. Shows how passionate u guys are about ur work. Good shit my bros👊
Thanks so much Fish!
Awesome

You guys inspiring me to do some fabrication to my 69 Camaro ,, but i dont have the GUTTS to cut through it and cant get it fixed
Anything can be fixed with enough time and patience!
😏Whatttt a 69 and you are guttles😬🥴
Great job guys 👍👍
Thank you 😁
"Hit it with paint" - and my mind instantly was like "Wait what? Does he really throw paint cans at the frame?!?" 🤪😂😁😇
Not too far off! lol
I'm 30 seconds into the video and don't understand why there is no delorean content!? Love y'all's work hope to see the delorean more!

Reliable isn't as fun though! lol
Did i miss something? I havent seen Tim on the episodes lately.
He moved on to another project unfortunately!
Another project or another company? That's a shame, he was good behind the camera and his skills spoke for themselves.
@@SalvagetoSavage so we'll never have an update on the Delorean?
He seemed like a baby, I feel like he didn't get his way. All speculation, I'm sorry I'm very cynical haha not sorry🤪
376 is a ls3 6.2
Solid engine mounts? That’s gonna be rough! Bad ass but the vibrations would drive me crazy
It's like a back massage while you drive! lol

Im in the middle of the same swap. If you dont mind me asking What long tube header brand did you guys go with?
more videos of the Chevelle I like those more and I want to see it in action,,,

Do you do outside projects!? 1974 Chevy Nova
Most of these are outside projects! Shoot us a message on IG or through our email if you're interested in a project!
Ok! This a scam?
That chassis could have done with blasting before paint. I hope its going to be a dry garage queen or that bondo is pealing off there in a few years.
Umm, did you treat the rust behind your patches, on the front fenders? Maybe I missed it, just didn't see it
Yup! Sprayed it with rust converter before we even started welding it up!
👋🔥👍
Dope 💥💥💥

What is the plan to replace the torsional strength and lateral compression strength lost by cutting the top hat off the chassis?
LS3 IS 376 c.i. so go ahead with those covers.
It's not really the size, it's the LSX on them that feels disingenuous
How much does a build like that cost?
Not to mention you’ll bust your transmission pump, if torque converter is not seated in the pump
There's a whole slew of issues! The long way always ends up being shorter than the wrong way when it's all said and done!
yellow corvette?, another project?
It's just in for some maintenance
Where's Tim been?
He moved on to another project
Wheres Timmy?

ls3 = 6.2 litres = 376 cubic inches.
Yeah where's Tim Been This new guy David He seems to be a good Fabricator and welder I just think he lacks Creativity Like the last couple episodes the plain metal Box for the air ride The funky shaped air bag mounts Tim would of done something clever did some bead rolling or something just instead of plain
If it’s a 6.2 then it’s also 376 ci
But it's still not an LSX
What is happening to ur Sema build
