As of December 2023, Irish media reports that the Gardai have identified the man following Trevor as seen on the last known CCTV footage. That he was there was a coincidence. Trevor's family remain hopeful of finding answers.
I have analysed all the CCTV on various other RUclips videos. The initial contact with the man in black happens at gate 1 at the front of the bank. The man in black is stood there, and Trevor walks passed him and around to the back- Gate 2. The man then follows Trevor to the back gate, and they briefly engage. Further CCTV then shoes two men, possibly 3, looking through the gate. There were also text messages and phone calls that were answered by these men, firstly as Trevor walks passed there is a call, then Trevor is stalled by the MIB at Gate 2, whilst he is texting. I believe Trevor walked in on something happening that night, I just have a hunch. He witnessed something he wasn't meant to, and that sealed his fate. Check some various other CCTV footage, and one of the men in black is clearly the man following him passed the ATM. Furthermore, just as Trevor goes out of camera shot in the ATM clip, he appears to kind of turn around, or at least pause, as if he knows he is being followed. The CCTV is at 1.5 speed so slow it down. Whatever happened, I hope his family get closure one day.
Just noting that I'm here following Brief Case's recommendation. Both great channels. Far better than some crime channels with more subscribers where the flowery delivery and cutesy expressions are just intolerable. Thanks for the no nonsense approach to this content matter.
Baffling mystery this one is, for sure. Whatever happened, happened quickly. I don't think he committed suicide, but it is possible he had an accident although if that were the case I think he would have been found. He was also young enough to have been the victim of human trafficking. I think I recall there being something about the way the man who followed Trevor in the ATM video walked, that made the police believe he was the same man who was hanging around the bank. Maybe someone here knows a bit more about it. Once again you bring us a good one! I think I missed one last week, going to watch this morning. I like the way you are doing the introductions, by the way. Take care and stay safe.
I think the shady guy had something to do with it but the fact that not a single thing was ever found may mean this shady guy may very well have committed the perfect crime. How heartbreaking
The person that looked like they were wearing a black hoodie certainly had a scuttle on (walking very quickly), there seems to be a link there but what on earth could be the motive? This is unbearable for the family. Thanks for bringing this case back to the fore. 🙏🏼❤️
It takes a cold hearted person to ask parents why they continue to search for their child no matter how old that child was. I can’t believe anyone would ask that, but one thing I’ve learned recently is that there are many evil people in this world.
This could be either a very complicated story. Visits to Alaska? A young IT expert? Goes missing near the US embassy? Shady figures who seem to be able to get away from cctv? Rumours of involvement of international criminals? This young man could have got himself involved in something he couldn't handle, or knew something he shouldn't, Or it really could be just an accident. Very strange case. It does seem like that shady guy meant to meet him at his work office. Perhaps he went to retrieve something or some information from work for him, but couldn't get it.
I can't begin to imagine the Agony, and Heartbreak, of have No Answers, and No Justice. 💔💔💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I'm Praying for Answers for the Family. I always hope these videos can help. Thank You, Luke , for bringing Awareness!
I always think about Trevor at this time of the year. I never knew him or met him, maybe it’s because we are near the same age? But this case really stuck out to me and has done ever since. Very sad
Tells Kyle (the man he had coffee or tea with) "Mate, there is a creep outside and we need to call the police". Kyle says "ok, right", then CALLS THE MAN OUTSIDE THE FENCE and says "he is on to us (or he won't comply with the arrangement you and him made) and told me to call the police on you". Trevor thought the man was gone and wasn't a threat anymore when he left that final time.
Big fan of your videos; thanks for taking the time to detail these cases in such a clear and calm manner. Would you consider documenting the following unsolved disappearances/murders? They are amongst the most intriguing I have read about to date. - Ruth Wilson - Tevaline Evans - Yves, Marie-France, Camille, and Marius Godard - Leah Roberts - Asha Degree - Marion Barter
I'd love to visit Ireland I think the Irish are somewhat similar to us Aussies. President of U.S. visiting, man in black, U.S. embassy..... The Russians did it! Or maybe the Chinese I do seriously hope the family gets answers. Not knowing must be pure torture.
If his phone was still ringing up until the 11th of December, why could the police not find it? Or the area it was still switched on. I know the phones in them days didn't have GPS, but they could still triangulate the area of the phone, they could still do it now if they had the data. That was one method of evidence used to convict the Essex Boys killers, and the police gathered the evidence months or nearly a year after crime.
@James G there is no absolute belief that the phone was dialling after the calls made on his way out of the office (ostensibly home) among any of the family, friends or investigators. At best TDs sister thinks it might have been ringing but she can't remember. There's no real confidence on this issue. If there's no confidence in it dialling then there's no evidence it was on after around the time he was last caught on film.
@James G you don't know it was ringing. All that is known is that calls were attempted and they weren't answered. Anything more than that is pure guesswork at this point.

@@stephenalex4345 Just something to note Stephen as I do think it's important. You mention that "Trevor walks passed him and around to the back- Gate 2. The man then follows Trevor to the back gate". This is not entirely true and I think it's important to clarify. Trevor does indeed walk past the MIB in the direction of Gate 2, and the MIB does indeed begin to follow Trevor. However the MIB does not follow Trevor to Gate 2. In fact, the MIB actually walks past Trevor and walks to Gate 2 first, while Trevor stands on the street talking on the phone. Trevor then joins the MIB at Gate 2 and they have a brief engagement. Why I feel this is important is that is appears that the MIB knew Trevor was going to approach Gate 2 and chose to stand there waiting for him, which of course is unusual. How could he have known? That gate is dark and secluded and the MIB has absolutely no reason to walk in there unless he is hoping for some kind of encounter with Trevor when Trevor finally ends the phone call. It think its important that this is noted. Also, I absolutely agree with you that the CCTV footage is best slowed down. For some reason the footage has been sped up and its much clearer when slowed down.
Such a tragic case and I hope that one day, the mystery of Trevor's disappearance will be solved. I don't think that Trevor was involved in anything himself, rather he may instead have inadvertently stumbled across some type of dodgy scheme in the office.
Poor old Trevor, such a sad story. I personally think he fell into the river and while some of the CCTV footage is a little unusual, notably the footage at the gate, I don't think he was followed. There was a taxi strike that night and while his sister says the phone was ringing for several days this claim isn't certain.
There is no river where he was walking, theres a canal which, if he fell in, he would have been found as there are multiple locks along it. In addition, its not that deep and the Gardai (police) searched it thoroughly.
Also, you cannot easily fall in to the dodder. Walls, barriers, fences are along its route. I believe a criminal gang (for whatever reason - perhaps to carry out a tiger kidnapping) captured him, bungled him into a car, and later murdered him and disposed of his body. Sad case which I would not be surprised if it was never solved.
@@Gmac86. you think that's a more likely scenario than falling into the dodder and being dragged to sea? I don't. The river was not searched, certainly not to any significant degree. In any event he could have already been drifted far before they could even start. Quite how some random drug gang to murder and hide a young IT worker at 4 in the morning is the most likely scenario is beyond me.
That isn't the same man in the 2 separate CCTV clips. If you look close at the silhouette of the first man at the gate he is wearing a waist length jacket that has elastic giving it a "poofy" look. If you look at the silhouette of the man in the second clip seen walking behind Trevor he is first off much trimmer looking, and wearing an overcoat or raincoat that ends just above the knee. The collar also seems shaped differently even though both are pulled up around the neck a bit. Also the man in the first video at the gate seems to go right to what I'm assuming is a phone in his hands based on his stance. I might be wrong but it looks like he leans on the fence with his hands in front of him as if holding something and looking down at it. As if he's texting someone. Does anyone else get that impression?
Has anyone done a photofit of what Trevor would look like now in case he just wanted to dissapear as he felt stupid regarding his fruitless trip to Alaska

Excellent video Luke, so sad - I really hope Trevors family get some closure on this
I can’t imagine the heartbreak and insurmountable grief his family must be suffering. I pray they get answers and justice for their son and brother.
I cannot believe it was over 20 years ago. I remember following this and I cannot imagine how the family manages. As a mum, it is terrifying.
Nice to see you speaking at the beginning of the videos now. Sad story. Hope that the family finds answers someday.

Very sad..yes not to ever giving up.😪

I wondered if anything like embezzlement had happened at the Bank before Trevors dissapearance and Trevor came across it so had to be silenced
