Why didn’t you move the tiles over so there wasn’t such a small cut up the side of the bath wall?
I love these style of tiles and I'm going to choose them for my bathroom remodel. Interesting that you didn't use a primer on the walls prior to tiling. Thanks for sharing
Plumbers pipe work looks good too 👌
No tanking of the walls?
Walls ideally need to be tanked because it's not hardibacker if the grout fails (and it will eventually) the water will find its way in and swell the plasterboard and all that hard work will be for nothing.
Isn't it better to leave small gap between tiles and the bath for silicone ?
What would you do if the walls are not level in depth?
Just found your channel and now subscribed. As a keen DIYer these videos are a great help and I like your work ethic. I've just finished tiling a bathroom with this type of tile but I had a terrible job cutting the tiles longways - the bevel I think doesn't help. Lots of breakage. Cutting along the short side wasn't a problem. Any ideas why?
Glad you like the channel👍 If you are cutting to close to the bevelled edge we find it best to use the wet wheel else you can get a lot of breakages 🤙
@@GreenHawkConstructionltd Thanks for the prompt response. That's what I ended up doing, but it's nice to know the professionals did the same thing, chuffed.
The returns on the bond is completely wrong ther
bath should be taken off then walls tiled all the way then bath back in, not like this...
Ready mixed adhesive-nope, random directions on the troweling-nope, slither cuts either side-nope, no tanking-nope, normal plaster board-nope. Sorry this is just not how its done professionally these days.
Do not take advice from these guys if youre thinking of doing the same people. There's much better videos out there.
Great videos, can I ask what size trowel did you use on these subways it looks like you are back buttering hard to see in time lapse and is this recommended on metros? I take it you used slow set, sorry for all the questions keep up the good work
