I've really never seen a production of this show where every line is so throughly thought out and full of direct meaning to the point you absolutely get it from the jump. Huge achievement.

Having studied under Ken Gargaro in college a few years before this production, and the fact that at this time, Evita was enjoying a renewed life thanks to the movie adaptation I was crazy excited to see this production and it did not disappoint! I have seen Evita dozens of times over the years by various companies and this production remains one of my favorites. Pixburgh knocked it out of the park with this!
Cindy - you may be interested to know that I met and worked with Ken fresh out of high school at 18 (and heading to attend Carnegie-Mellon in Drama and Music) - as Louisa in The Fantastiks. To circle around to work with him again as Eva in Evita, was a glorious opportunity and a dream on many unexpected levels.
I was in this production!! One of my favorite performances! You were AMAZING and such a pleasure to work with! I was just ensemble but what an awesome show!!
I think if anyone sings it in the original keys, they're going to sound like Patti. I've seen Evita so many times, and I've seen the same actresses over and over because so few people can sing this score. This lady has the chops. I'm impressed

I love how the whole show is performed! ❤️

This performance really makes me think of Patti Lupone's in my opinion, this lady is extraordinary, brava brava!!

@@barbraseville8984 The original "Eva", Britain's Elaine Paige sang it in this key and sounded nothing like Patti Lupone...
Sandra você é incrível e talentosa atriz

Surprisingly it works. 🙂
@@MJK1965 Well, Japan’s been doing it since 1982, so I don’t see why it shouldn’t work.
With all my respect... Che Guevara is"a little" overweight... Shall We say 🎉
But how’s his voice and acting?
Voice and acting.. Superb - Nobody said the opposite... But going to the Gym.. Maybe.. Maybe 😜
