Rev TLC, from the Creator’s perspective, humanity is One Human ‘Race’ … AND… we are ALL various shades of BROWN, thanks to the skin pigment called Melanin. I’m 75 and I learned that humans had to ‘classify or categorize’ continents of people as they became more aware that the planet was bigger than just them! So, when the ‘light to medium-light’ brown Europeans came to the Americas and saw the ‘reddish-brown’ Native Indians, it was decided to base ‘large cultures’ on a name of a color. Hence, the Indians became the ‘Red Man’. The Africans were named the ‘Black Man.’ Since the Asians had a yellow hue to their light brown skin, they were named the ‘Yellow Man’. The Europeans were named ‘Pale Face’ or ‘White Man’ and those four categories were formed. The remaining islanders and Central and South Americans were the ‘Brown Man.’ That was for ‘ease’ of knowing who people were talking about since the world was shockingly round instead of flat and now some ‘major characteristics’ among people had to be discerned from one another. Color was the determining factor. Red. Yellow. Black. White. All else were brown. Continents were not yet named. Now we KNOW that we ALL have the brown pigment Melanin that gets darker brown with more sun and lighter brown with less brown. More sun, more dark. Less sun, less brown. So, no one is AS ‘white white’ AS the whites of our eyes or a white piece of paper. AND, no one is AS ‘black black’ AS the pupils of our eyes or a black piece of paper. My Euro-American ancestry were all ‘shades, stages, levels, degrees and intensities’ of brown. No one was ‘white white.’ They got ‘medium’ brown in the summer sun. Then fade back to a lighter brown shade in the winter. Caucasia is a mountain range near the Baltic Sea and the Caucasian people there are ALL brown! ONE man ‘made the declaration’ that ‘All Caucasians were white’ and Europe went into an uproar because they knew it was not true and yet, no one else knew a more truthful answer, so, it sadly stuck. Now is the time to un-stuck ourselves of this inaccurate non-truth, an outright lie. Mass-brainwashing. Mass-indoctrination. What Italian is ‘white’? Or French person? Yes, even the Kings and Queens of England all have light brown skin tones, yes, even Donald Trump. No one is white. No one is black. We’re all various shades of brown. No one is not brown. Everyone is brown. We are ALL People of Color… The Color Brown! Again, we are One Human Race with 7.8 billion shades of brown skin tones. So, Rev, there is no need to ‘dismantle racism’ when seen from the eyes of the Creator. Man must retrain his brain. Re-wire his mind. More truthfully, it is much more about a much more ‘newer truth’ to replace the ‘existing truth’. President Putin’s skin sure isn’t ‘yellow.’ Native Indians are ‘medium to medium-dark’ brown. Not ‘red’ like a fire engine. Africans are medium to dark brown skinned people. Not black like their hair. We are one brown global family. Always was, is and will be. That’s the way the Creator designed us. Amen.

Having studied under Ken Gargaro in college a few years before this production, and the fact that at this time, Evita was enjoying a renewed life thanks to the movie adaptation I was crazy excited to see this production and it did not disappoint! I have seen Evita dozens of times over the years by various companies and this production remains one of my favorites. Pixburgh knocked it out of the park with this!
