yeah, we currently have a huge castle base in no.1 on the server I play on, Might show it off in a cinematic as well if people are interested.

these are some fine spots, the first one was my main base but since its an gate to the forest its just not good to build in there

I love how you got the panoramic camera effect. How did you do that?
Set myself to invisible and flew using the admin panel :D, You can also hide the HUD using alt + x or something along those lines too.
do more conan videos, please, this was very polished video, i' m sure it took a long time to make

Hey n°4 is lord Krojak's old base
all 5 spots easily destroyed by yog. Currently i know only 1 narrow place where you can put approx. 20-30 chests that will be not touched. The base at that spot can be destroyed, but if you have resources saved, it will be no problem with restoring.
The problem is you can't possibly make it to the top of the map when you start out because you WILL die if you attempt traveling. You need decent armor and weapons in order to survive so it's a toss up between how much to invest in your first base near spawn and then eventually moving and establishing at the top of the map. (I sincerely hate dying...and not being able to make it back to my corpse in time!)
You can make it up top, You just have to be smart with your stamina and save some for running from hyena's. But agreed to really get up there and farm and make a base you need at least some low to mid tear weapons and Armour.
With a stone club, 5 grass mats for beds, stone ax and stone pick I made it to the top left corner just outside the city near the lakes.
It's pretty easy actually
5 locations you can't build on or have shitty access to resources late-game.
1. is a fantastic location for building and resources, if you can still build there that is. I didn't base these off practicality but how cool and secure they could be.
I'll give you that, 1 is actually not bad, although far from good thrall spots atm given that the nearby werehyena camp is broken.
We actually had a base on 1. and it was very good for defense purposes, up top you can bridge off to the west and build atop a platform. I wasn't aware of it blocking any camps, But I haven't played in a while so I wouldn't know.
I hope the devs make a pulley style elevator so that we can easily ride up to the top of our builds without frantically climbing up a million stairs. lol
I'm building at #2, and even though it's a little far from the metal, coal, areas, I can still get to them reasonably well, and should get to those areas even quicker when we get riding mounts in the game..
Being at lever 12 right now, the far northern regions are way too tough for me at the moment, so #2 is a great spot for me. The base of my stair tower, which includes my house, is right next to the river, so I have easy water access, plus the critters here are easy to kill, giving me a dependable food supply.
I just finished my stair tower up to the top of the arch, and what an awesome view from up there. The view alone makes this a great place for a stater or noob base. Even if you can't stop Yog being up there, you can see him coming from miles, and make escape plans, before he gets there. The only bad thing is you have to be logged in and playing if he's coming to wreck your base.

I played rust legacy and haven't really played it since, It's a great game I just personally prefer Conan exiles right now :) The lack of guns in this game means KOS isn't as big a thing and makes for some really interesting game-play.
ya i get where you are coming from. You also need people to play with to have a good time. I play solo and it is a challenge grinding all the resources for your base.
Very true, as is with most of these style survival games. Fortunately I found a group on Conan exiles and we have a nice base going (might show it off in a cinematic once it's complete).

All of these places except 1 we can’t use, blocking boss spawns on servers and no builds south of noob river
#3 stops the NPCs in the cannibal village from spawning, don't do it people. Go up the right and build there or build Infront of the village for early thrills.
It's a shame really. I think they should allow you to base closer to npc camps without effect.
Or block building near NPCs. Its annoying if the most important villages are gone because someone build a house there :/
you should update this video. you can no longer build in places that are considered NPC property. So if a NPC spawns there or has a camp there then you can't build. basically all of those locations in this video with the black stone structures are off limits.

Not as far as I am aware? At least not when I last played.
You block camps on 1,3,5 when you build there and the server will dislike you.
