- In todays episode we are starting with the building an Armourer's Workshop!
Well our little stronghold / medieval city will be the home of many fierce warriors so it was about time we started building an Armourers Workshop! And what do we need inside an Armourer's Workshop? Well we surelly need a Tannery a Furnace a Blacksmith's workbench and of course the Armourer's Workbench as well.
I decided to set up the Armourer's Workshop in our Artisans Square and that's where we started building. Once the building was done we even did some interior decoration as well!
We are still looking for a suiting name for our new Stronghold / City so any suggestions are more then welcome!

The most important lection i learned from this video: you can actually see stability numbers if you equip a repair hammer. it realy helped understanding what is wrong with my building ideas =D
Yeah .. that took me a while too. As usual ... feel free to let me see what you are building. Love seeing other people's builds.
i didn't even know about the stability mechanic before this video hahahhaa
but i also just play since friday
I was really struggling to build a round house for my Wheel of pain and I proverbially kicked myself when I saw your center hexagon. Thanks and thanks again.
glad this video is still of use to people even 2 years after it has been made :-)
Thank you sir, I have been trying to figure this out for ages. Dropped a like!
Thanks to you i was able to make a round tower. Thank you sir. You got yourself a new follower haha
Nice and Helpful. I will be using this in my next build, Thank you.
Glad you like it. Feel free to post a link to a screenshot of your builds. Always love seeing what others do.
that's what i love about games like this
building is great man, so many possibilities and endless ideas
i love to see all kind of different buildings and structures and then try out combinations of those
the you might find somehting interesting in my old conan vids :-)
Very impressive...nice work. This will help with my designs. I liked and subscribed. Thanks.
good video, very informative
Thanks for the help man. You just got a new subscriber. I like the structure of the inside roof I'm going to start building it like that.
Welcome to the family ... I actually loved how it turned out myself.
Great work :) You really gave me some new ideas :)
Good to know ... feel free to keep us posted on your builds.
Thanks so much my building is more of a hexagon shape and I was having trouble with the roof this helped me a lot
Glad you found this useful.
Great video, very helpful :)
Glad you liked it!
This helped me a lot was struggling to figure out why I couldn't get anything to snap didn't realise that I needed more support i.e. The walls to finish the roof.
Cheers 👍
Glad you found it useful
Very nice vid! Subscibed!!! Love your style mate!
Thanks a lot!
Badass video bud! never thought to build like that. I like the inner walls on the way up.
Thanks for the compliment. It was an often requested thing during my streams so I just made a little video about it.
yeah man i like those walls more than pillars by the looks of it
at least in this case
Nice video man that helped me out.
Thanks ... glad you liked it!
thx a lot dude finally i made something beautiful
YESSS... YESSS... YESS Very helpful thanks YESSS... YESSS... YESSS.
Great instructional video, though I like the idea of using the ceilings all the way across except for a stair way access point, and creating a multi-level house.
Awesome helped alot thanks 👍
Glad you liked it.
You made a good video, thanks!
Bryce ... thanks for the compliment and glad you enjoyed it.
This was SO helpful. I just wish I'd seen it before I started building my castle. Would've designed it completely different.
Glad this video still helps people out, even though it's amost 2 years old now :-)
Very helpful.
Glad you liked it.
I love your accent!
Very helpful video! time to build a new village!
Glad you like it. Make sure to post some links to your build, always nice to see what others did. Feel free to check out the other build video's too, there should be quite a few of them here already.
Sure! Have a nice day mate!
Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
it's good work. I'm always looking for tips on building something interesting. hitting that sub button!
Well, feel free to check some of my other videos ... been doing plenty of building in Conan and ARK. Feel free to share a picture / video of your builds too. Always looking for good inspiration.
Great video! This helped me out so much cause I thought I wasted my time making a round base that was bigger.
Believe me ... I've made even bigger round bases :-) It sometimes even made my head hurt.
@@Letstalkgaming why do you need stabilety im new??
@@shaun2160 If you don't have support or stability you won't be able to place blocks which are not connected to the ground.
@@shaun2160 You need stability / support to be able to place structures floating above others.
Thanks so much for this video I was going nuts trying to get it right before
Glad I could help!
YES!! 😂 Ty bro
Glad you liked it.
Thanks for the great video. I tried to make a round building but any ideas on how to make a nice stairway for a taller round building?
The suggestion I always made is start with placing the triangular ceilings so your actual stair blocks are placed on the square ones. I think I have a video up here where I showed how I did the stairs in the rounded towers of my stronghold.
wooohoooooooooooooooooo
My pointy roofs always point outward never inwards! How are you turning the triangles???
Fantastic! Thank you so much. I just started playing 2 weeks ago(single player only) and just LOOOVE this game. I am in my mid-30s level-wise & haven't done ALOT of adventuring too far from my home base, but I keep plugging along. I built my Sepulcher of Set, now upgraded to the next level, and then enclosed it in a temple of sorts with braziers strategically placed to enhance the mood, etc. You can let your artistic side go wild but then have to consider the real engineering aspects, as you demonstrated in the video, to achieve your vision... Thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed it. As usual ... feel free to post a screenshot of your build somewhere for us to look at.
Let's Talk Gaming here is the outside view of my Temple of Set: steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/861733669322579979/397500854F0AD4E0C9F7CEC81638C6524F72B6BE/
Let's Talk Gaming and here is the inside of my Temple of Set - you can't see it in this shot, but there are 2 low tables & 2 shelves on the walls all adorned with human skulls and black candles! hehehe steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/861733669322579464/E00FAF2827C0C3B91E604567CC8E7CB52AFFFC04/
When I go to place my last roof part it says it can be placed but when I click RB it says failed to place building
Hope to see you on the new johnbane server!
Would be nice, though I think there are way better RUclipsrs than me to fill up the remaining spots. Still .. keeping my fingers crossed, you never know :-)
What is the name of the thatch building piece you used to make the roof of the small centre tower? I can't find it anywhere.
BTW great video :)
can't really remember something about inverted sloped wedge roof or something ?
You sound Dutch, I hope that isn't offensive if I'm wrong haha. Very helpful video!
Actaully I'm from Belgium but yeah the flemmish accent sounds similar to the dutch one when speaking in English
@@Letstalkgaming het is hatelijk wanneer men Nederland en België door elkaar haalt, wist dat je me hierop ging wijzen haha
@@matsborn7192 Ik kan er wel tegen hoor Mats :-)
These are the Celtic type of buildings trying to do,. except I'm extending the roof below the roof line. So, they extend underneath and almost touch the ground.
Nice ... would love to see your build some day.
huts look better from the inside :P
Hello can someone tell me how to get the khitan mason pieces into my crafting area i paid for the Imperial East Pack, and im level 57 how do i put the build pieces into my crafting window? I went to feats area and clicked every button and nothing someone Help Please!!!!
Diagonal support beams will solve the pillar issue. They're crafted in the carpenter bench
You mean I could remove the pillars ? but these diagonal support beams must be connected to something too, right? Actually redid something similar in my next Conan Exiles build video, tried vertical beams, but those didn't give any support at all. Thanks for the tip, will have to check that out.
they give extremely little support, but they give a tiny biti think. I think they used to give something similar to pillars but it was nerfed pretty hard due to exploiting.
Let's Talk Gaming I don't know how to view stability on console so I don't know how much support it adds but it worked for me when I duplicated your design.
On the inside where you place ceilings touching the outer walls, I placed diagonal support beams and it added enough stability to get rid of the pillars. Gotta find the sweet spot though.
Yeah experimented with that design in today's video (which will be published later this evening, but sadly has some bad audio). Made a little workshop area using that desing. As far as I know you can check stability using that repair / builder hammer thinie.
You can use the pillars instead of the walls.
Yeps ... During the Live Stream I did set up 4 pilars and removed all the bottom walls, looks nice too.
I wonder if you could use a central pillar as used in real "round house" construction? I don't know if the triangle pieces (up or down pointing) snap to them or not. Can't test while I'm at work :)
I don't really understad what you mean. Having one pilar in the middle of the building? Not sure if it will indeed stick to the slopend walls, think you might have to put ceilings in to make it work.
Yes - a central pillar. Plan on trying to test that idea this weekend. I don't think it'll work, not even sure I can place a pillar at the junction of the triangle foundations (don't think so) but it's how early cultures built houses in various places in Europe and North America, as well as still do in Africa and Southeast Asia/Pacific.
You can place pilars in the middle of triangular ceilings, not on the edges as far as I know. But please let me know if you succeeded.
Nah, it doesn't work. I built a cool 'sorta round' house though. Still experimenting with what support is actually required. Those upside down triangle roof pieces are the problem though.
Yeah, kinda expected that. Think none of the sloped roofs can have a pillar supporting them.
I know this is an old video, but I used it to help me out. I cannot place the middle inverted triangles after putting up supports. It never wants to snap to the bottom of the ceiling piece. Anyone have a fix?
Try to check with that repair / build hammer to see if you have enough support. The position of the pillars seems to be important. I had issues with a build I did a couple of days ago too.
Let's Talk Gaming 80 Stability. I can place the wedge on the top, but the wedge will point up. I can make it point down to close the gap.
I think you are using the wrong ones, you need to use the inverted ones for that. That's the ones pointing down :-P
I seem to have fixed my issue, I had the wrong wedge
posted that probably at the same time as you did :-)
Could you do a 3 floor tower with a 2 wall height on every floor and do the roof?
I think it should be possilbe though I'm not 100 sure I did undersxtand the exact requirements
can it work on a five ringed circle?
It could, but you will have to figure out how to get support on some parts of the build. Guess you will need to use a bit more Pilars.
Does this not work on console? For the life of me I can't get these to invert at all
I would think so, but can't confirm since I don't have a console.
Awesome, ty!!
You are more than welcome.
Triangles ... triangles triangles...... triangles.....TRIANGLES
wait until you start using the trianglesquares :-)
Stelios Kontos Illuminati definitely confirmed!
“Stelio’s theme music begins playing”
6:53 all you need to know in 5 seconds: triangle foundation = triangle roof, square foundation = square roof. done
I can’t do it anymore. Some advice?. Or I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong.
I think it should still be possilbe. Can't imagine they removed this from the game.
@@Letstalkgaming Sorry, I wasn’t using the inverted triangle. That was the reason. Thanks for the advice. Very good video.
@@fuerzadedefensahispana978 Glad it worked out, make sure to throw me a like, would help me a lot.
Look way out to distance, reduces snap points in FoV
Yeps ... something I learned later on in the build process too. So feel free to check out the other building episodes as well :-)
Let's Talk Gaming I have been! Unfortunately I've built a big tower for my vault, following these steps and I can't seem to complete the point, may have gone two more times out then your largest tower, probably stability issues. Good videos though 😄
That is not an expanded roundish tower as the sides have different lengths!
Hi.
Hello .... funny thing is ... I've been playing LotRO lately and ventured into Mirkwood :-()
Nederlander?
Nog beter ... een Belg :-P
We just gonna ignore the moaning in the background at 4:04?
That's his character being thirsty and then drinking.
@@Ruskettle Man I was already wathing the video back to see what happened :-P
You need to show what you are doing with the roof not kinda show and skip
IDGAF for building i use fly. plain and simple. i also have Shift+Del macro'd for quick removal. there is only two things more i would want....other then them removing the stability mechanic. and that would be a drag-select feature for selecting multiple pieces. and lastly would be a shift+place option that allows you to drag out a line of pieces to place a single row at once. much like they do in "TROVE"
Some nice suggestion sin there.
Let's Talk Gaming thank you.
The big tower still not working for me , i get fukin tired of this shit
25 minutes of video could've been under 10 minutes if the guy didn't bother with useless jabbering
I'm looking forward to seeign your 10 minute video about the topic. Remember this video was made 5 years ago, at that time there wasn't a lot of info available
