      Hi what country made duramax 13000?

    I just finished assembling my XP13000EH and it's pretty slick. I'd love to have the tri-fuel, but I should be able to live with gas or propane for outages that are under 5 days here in Houston Texas. Fingers crossed we won't have any longer than that.

      Sounds like you had the right plan! Always better to be prepared and not need it.

    Awesome video! Great info.👌🏾 Could this Generator specifically be used on a pull along 30" RV camper?

    Been watching the Duramax videos now. I just bought the XP4400EH, suppose to arrive next Tuesday.. excited to fire it up :o) Out of curiosity, what is the actual power it puts out? Does the 4400 mean peak power. Just wondering.. I don't have a lot that demands electric so I figured the 4400 would be adequate for my needs. I also like it can put out 240 volts

    • @DuroMaxPower
      @DuroMaxPower  Год назад +1

      Hello,
      The XP4400EH will put out 4,400 starting watts and 3,500 running watts. It should work good for most recreational use and small home power backup depending on your application.

    Hey Duromax - Odd question....but does anyone know what battery brand and size (14 ah or 18 ah ) that is on the XP12000EH generator? Or part/serial number on the battery. Thank you!!!

    • @DuroMaxPower
      @DuroMaxPower  Год назад +3

      No question is odd for us! If the model was purchased within 5 years it will be a 12V 14 Ah. If its older, then its possible it could be an 12V 12 Ah or 12V 18Ah as well. You may also visit our website and get live product or technical support!

    Number one question I have is that of coarse when most needed time is in bad weather so can the portable units be ran in the rain?

    • @DuroMaxPower
      @DuroMaxPower  Год назад +1

      Its best to keep the top covered so the Generator is not exposed to direct rainfall. Most operate under a canopy or top cover.

      We have a GenTent that attaches to our portable generator. It serves as a waterproof cover as well as a storage cover. It works very well. It can be installed in 5 min.

    • @danm400
      @danm400 Год назад

      I also have a GenTent. Bought it on Amazon, and it is custom fitted for my XP13000EH. I plan to build a "dog house" for the generator that will have adequate vents for airflow and cooling, a hatch to access the control panel and electrical outlets, and a door with a small concrete slab in front so I can wheel it out for service and refueling.

      Turn the battery switch off so the battery will not deplete its charge.

    I have a DuroMax XP12000EH running on propane. I find that when I have a significant load on the generator (Lights, Refrigerator, a TV and one 2Ton central AC), I have to turn the throttle adjustment screw all the way in in-order to maintain close to the desired 3600 RPM (60Hz). Is this the proper use of that screw? Is there a way to open the throttle anymore (i.e., get more power) if unable to maintain 3600RPM/60Hz at this load? (approx. 2500W running Lights, Refrigerator and TV + 3500W running 2T AC (9600W peak)). When the AC cycles off, the RPM’s climb to only about 3700. Why is my generator not achieving the 9025 rated wattage for propane?

      @DuroMaxPower  Год назад +2

      Hi There!
      The idle screw should not be adjusted while the unit is running. We recommend reaching out to our technical service team to help walk through your Generator and the load being on it at 844-DUROMAX. We are sure we can get this resolved for you.

    Solar with batteries CAN be recharged from a generator, if necessary.
    100 amp service at 240 volts = 24000 watts (2.4 kW).

    • @DuroMaxPower
      @DuroMaxPower  Год назад +2

      Correct, but it should say 24kW

    I just finished installing this generator in my house, when I connect it to the natural gas there is a very strong smell of gas and I can hear a leak coming out of the generator. Is hat normal?

    • @DuroMaxPower
      @DuroMaxPower  Год назад +1

      Hello,
      Please shut off immediately. Was the generator tested by the natural gas plumber when the connection was installed and what is the natural gas pressure to the unit? Please reach out to our team at 844-DUROMAX and we can assist in getting your unit running.

    • @danm400
      @danm400 Год назад +1

      Yes, and please tell us the generator is NOT in your house. Call your local gas company, or a plumber, and an electrician.

    I purchased a DuroMax 5500 watt generator dual fuel. It runs 2 refrigerators,furnace,recreation room,microwave and coffee maker. Propane will last up to 10 years in a good tank, gasoline maybe 1 year with stabilized.

    "A battery can run out, and once it runs out there's no way to charge it."
    I came here for info as I'm looking for a new backup generator. This guy is a salesman, not an electrician. I was a solar installer for many years and still install my own systems. His job is to sell generators, but redundancy is better. My generator will be used in conjunction with my solar and lithium batteries. More efficient to charge batteries and use at my liking. Propane and gasas my fuel sources.
    He acts like propane tanks and gas cans don't run out.

      Agree, during prolonged outages having multiple forms of power is ideal.
