Keep up the fantastic work, and here's to many more adventures powered by DuroMax!
They need to make it Trifuel so you can use it for whole house (including A/C). Champion has a 9KW Trifuel Inverter for $1350 at Home Depot and Amazon.
If you need portability then this is good, but you can buy a 20kw kohler with auto transfer switch for $6500ish for a permanent install. A lot harder to steal but depends on your use case
Nice review and video. Curious how you feel about it 7 months later. I just ordered one from lowes. I bought it to power all the pool equipment if we have a freeze zilla again in Texas like in 2021. Cant afford to lose my pool. Not sure if it would run the whole house and the pool so most likely just going to have electrician break out the pool on it. I know there is a 50A on the pool so this should handle it.
I'm curious about how the automatic transfer switch works for you. I haven't seen any portable generators that work with a battery charging setup like you describe and would love to see it actually be possible with readily available products. I bought a Genmax 10500 last year after seeing video of their ATS which still isn't available.
I have the 13KW Dual Fuel Duromax and only run it with Propane but it is not an Inverter which make it a last resort so use my 7KW Honda Inverter on gas for sensitive appliances.
Expensive to operate. Initial cost to buy plus operating cost (fuel consumption) need to be considered also when purchasing. Don’t forget to look into availability of repair parts as well for any generator.
don't even look for parts. cheap china shit gens will run until they break, and then you just have to replace the entire generator. just pray hard your cheap china shit generator doesn't break during a critical need / power outage.
BUT, it is china engine. it will break prematurely. do you have any concerns about china engine? china engine good or no good? also, what does the sine wave look like? is it smooth curve or stepped sine wave? also, you can't access the full wattage through a single switch. yes/no?
They are ALL Chinese engines!! except maybe Honda. Honda's biggest inverter is 7000, yes, you can parallel two of them ($10,000 worth of generators) and, although some are made in Japan, many are made all over the far east including China!
@6:30 "It's just not efficient for the generator" is WRONG. ALL generators are MOST EFFICIENT at near 100% load. Your "feelings" aren't science. It's fine if you don't want to run your piece of equipment at max load. But don't make things up like "it's less efficient". The exact opposite is true.
@@RenovationsandRepair No, I’m not saying that. You obviously don’t understand what efficiency means. At 50% output, it uses more fuel per output than at 100%. In other words, it doesn’t use DOUBLE the fuel to go from 50% to 100%. So at 100% output, you are getting more energy per gallon burned than at 50%. 🤦♂️

I’ll be straight honest with you you’re bragging ….about more what you have… then about the generator itself ….there’s no way that I would buy a generator for the job site or the campsite without a pull handle if you’re stuck, Camping at the job site, no battery … you you have a boat anchor… I have a 9000 Duramax inverter puts out 32 A runs the camper both ACs and does just fine. It just seems like bigger not always better.
Depends on your needs. For some, 9000 is not enough ( I think he even stated that). This is a machine for a business with high amperage needs. Load shedding always an option.
No matter if you're camping or at the job site or using it as a home back-up, you're not walking through the woods pulling by hand for camping, you'll have a vehicle near by. Same at construction site or home back-up. Keep a set of jumper cables, just in case.
I have the 15000. It been a great generator the last 2 years. The 16000 looks like a beast.

Will you be making one with Tri Fuel soon? Im interested in an inverter that runs on natural gas.
there are no parts available, correct? there is no customer service to talk to (in engrish) here in the USA, correct?
how noisy is ?
Very nice generator. Can’t believe they didn’t make that tri fuel though.
It’s not hard to convert
Someone just mentioned that they will be coming out with a Tri-Tuel just like this one, Fall of 2024.

Hey I have a question
What is the best niche that dont require too much to invest for example drywall, framing painting etc
Thank you
Painting is a good trade to start with. Insulation as well. Low barrier to entry and still boots on the ground.
If u don't mind me asking how much would that Duramax cost?
5000

do they have it in Tri-fuel version as well?
No

Nice vid! Also cab you make a update video on your directv swm 16 setup?
Sure, my current setup is a SWM 30 but is there anything in particular you want to see?
@RenovationsandRepair probably splitters, dishes and set top boxes!. I also been a fan since 2018
Very nicely done 😄🇺🇸
Can't run this on Natural Gas???
They have come out with a new version that does do NG.
too bad they don't make a tri fuel inverter generator version of this
Very high quality video 👍👍
For your house, why not buy a Generac instead?
I have a generac, this is for backup and also it uses regular fuel which is a bonus when the grid goes down.
Ha! Kick out the jams. MC5. Live in FL and looking for generators.
If only this was tri-fuel

So you are saying it uses the same amount of fuel at 50% duty cycle as it does at 100%? Asking for science reasons.

Just me, but I would never buy any generator that didn't also have a pullstart as a backup.
That’s my only gripe with this generator. It has never failed to start but it is still basically new. Let’s give it a few years.
Consumes 1 gallon of gasoling per hour or 20 pounds of propane every 3 hours at only 50% load. LOL. No.
Dual 2000 watt inverters sound better everyday.
