It's like Skylar saved every "shut up, Marie" from the entire show and released them all in this one scene 🤣
So well done .
It's kinda poetic. When you watch the show back, you wonder if tis entire thing is a parallel. That the whole show is just Walt exploding a bunch of pent up "shut ups," just like Skylar.
Skylar's special move is making a huge uncomfortable scene until the other person lets her have her way. She does it with the jewelry store, the locksmith, here and once more later on. I respect it. Here she's more just actually losing her shit, but it still qualifies.
It was one of the most satisfying moments in the _BB_ universe. Just messed up that it came as the result of a mental breakdown. However, she told Marie what I've been waiting for someone to tell her since S1E1 😂🤣😭💀
That was the best shutup in screen history 😂
Lmao the way anything Walt does sends them over the edge. They’re going to love Todd
..theyre in denial that walt is and has been handling business.. walt acts just as manipulative as gus was when he was in charge, their selective memories regarding gus and skyler too is hysterical..
@@StayFractalesque Walt has been fumbling his way through every event. He is unable to not shoot himself in the foot but because he is smart enough he is able to at least somewhat competently plug the wound most of the time.
@@Darthrad52 What you call “fumbling” can more accurately be described as incredible impromptu problem solving skills. Walt, with a few occasional exceptions, acts logically and intelligently, more so than any other character and the two people reacting to him. Those exceptions are never related to his lack of intelligence or common sense like the reactors would have you believe, constantly referring to him as stupid or ignorant but due to his ego or pride; an example being getting drunk at dinner and discouraging Hank’s belief that Gale was Heisenberg. All that being said, since it has to be spelled out to so many of you who are incapable of consuming media splayed out before you; I’m not saying Walt is a wholly good guy or maybe you can argue he’s complete evil but you cannot call him unintelligent, stupid, or fumbling.
And this is for future Maple. Walt only came up with the tent cook idea. It was Saul who vetted Todd. Guaranteed you're gonna hear, "Walt is responsible for these guys" in future reactions.
@@Darthrad52You forget that he did all of this in literally 2 years right?
Meth Damon has entered the show!
right, I've heard that somewhere before. Kind of funny looking dude 😆
ugh, fckin Todd....
I think the first time I heard Meth Damon was when he was in that movie, "Game Night." Perfect casting, tbh.
25:25 - Y'all do remember that Walt literally, put his head down, signed the divorce papers and resigned himself to being a pawn and playing Daddy Gus's game,.... UNTIL HE SAVED JESSE'S LIFE, right? I know it was over a season ago, but y'all didn't forget, did you?
These girls forget anything that doesn't fit their narrative
@@beefwrap the Walt fans are very protective of Walt 😂
He saved Jesse's life because in a sociopath or BPD mind they see people close to them as an extension of themselves, they are almost like possessions. If anyone hurts their family or friends they may see that as an attack on themselves.
These girls hate their fathers & they will never forgive Walt for that.
He wouldn't have had to save Jesse if he had just helped him in the first place. Walt could've helped Jesse poison the guys who killed Combo and they probably would've gotten away with it without Gus suspecting they had anything to do with it. Instead he tattles to Daddy Gus and gets them both in hot water. Dumb move. Walt should've either helped Jesse or let him fuck around and find out on his own.
Tod seems like a nice young man
For real. Very helpful.
Good guy Tod!
Great with kids. Probably.
Real go getter.
@@Sig509 Even better with single mothers I hear
Gus made one huge mistake. He warned Walt, "never work with an addict." He was talking about Jesse, but Gus didn't realize just how addicted *Walt* was to power. And we're seeing it now. Walt can't think rationally because he's addicted to gaining more control, more power, all the time, and it's a void he'll never fill, and it causes him to destroy everything around him.
27:25 Correction: Walt DID sign the divorce papers in S3, it was Skylar who didn’t sign them or file the papers. Not entirely Walt’s fault that she stayed, she made that choice all on her own.
The fact that this has all happened in a year puts into perspective how crazy Walt's rise actually is 😅
It's not real life bro 😂

..and Skyler didnt.. cheating is cheating, although of course, its always the mans fault when she does it..
Yeah, it's kinda wild they see it as Walt is framing her as the "bad guy" for having the affair. Like bro, she DID.

I don't like Walt, but she did everything she could to bring out the worst in him.
Unfortunately, Skyler White did not have an A-1 day.
Ugh... Your Pic got me
I mean HOW CAN THEY BLAME WALT ABOUT THE MISUNDERSTANDING WITH GUS, JESSE WAS ABOUT TO BE MURDERED and Walter saved him IT'S THAT SIMPLE
They're blinded by their emotions, then they get stuck in the 'hate-box' forever because they're not the type to see or admit their mistakes, so instead of taking advice, they double-down on their vitriol. Its sad to see. Its people thinking with their emotions and then having the hubris to read the critques and see all the thumbs-down and still continue down their goofy path of emotional hatred. This is one of the worst BB reaction channels IMO and I only come back here hoping they dial back their style. These two get more thumbs-downs in one episode than most BB reactors get for the whole series.
@@TrevortonOffroadomg but why are you so pressed, my guy? 😂
@@jema.flores define "pressed".
Walt is so lacking in self-awareness that he doesn't realize he is one flying too close to the sun.
Yes, Walt has had sooooo many ways out but he wouldn't be on top if he did.
Not gonna lie transportation costing 20% does sound like a lot.
Whilst Walt is a self destructive clown; when judging his abilities, it is worth keeping in mind that he has gone from school teacher to drug lord in less than a year.
Walt's cancer rules out the Gus path as an option, the man is on the clock. Also, he and Gus had very different motives. Gus is motivated by revenge and needed to build an empire capable of taking on the cartel. Walt is clearly in the game for the love of the game, and the spoils of victory might as well just be points on a scoreboard. He just wants to play and win. The man is having the time of his life.
He's not challenging Mike on paying off his network because he's clueless, he's challenging him because it's the first time in his life he's had the confidence to flex on people, and he can't get enough of it. Sure, that's silly, but for a guy who spent 5 full decades as a doormat the appeal of it should be obvious. Also, it's very likely he's feeling Mike out for his openness to the much cheaper Lydia method of dealing with the guys on Gus's payroll. And it does make sense for him to put Mike in a position of running actions through him first, even if he's going to eventually defer to Mike's judgment. It forces Mike to explain the situation and his reasoning for why this is the best option available. Mike is a smart and competent guy, but he's not the word of god. If he were that much smarter than Walt, he wouldn't be in the position he is now of working for him against his own better judgement.
Walt's major self-owns are usually not from his criminal scheming, but from his attempts to protect Hank and Jesse. If he were cold-blooded enough to let Gus kill either of them, Walt is walking on sunshine from season 3 onward. Even more so if he had given up on his marriage and started living separately from the family.
He could work for Gus possibly indefinitely, the DEA without Hank would be completely clueless, Gus would take care of the Salamanca family as he did, and Walt gets richer than the Gretchen and Elliot. Maybe he could get something going with Lydia. Skyler obviously wants to keep Walt's criminality secret from Walt Jr., and Gus's legitimate businesses could provide legal cover for Walt's income.
If you really want to talk about dumb criminal decisions, Gus made Walt the lynchpin of his empire, then decided it was worth ruining that golden goose situation over the two certainly replaceable street-level dealers that killed Tomas.
@@chrisadraheimExactly, people hate on Walt way to much, guy is the smartest character in the show, if he really was the evil monster people say, he would be unstoppable.

They not giving Walt enough credit for within a year while learning on the job on how to be a high end crime boss has been very productive. He should be able to make mistakes and figure stuff out. It's not realistic for him to be perfect in his 1st year.
tbf, Arianna has vested knowledge in criminal law and crime-dramas. So, she expects a little more competency from her villains. That's why they're Gus fans. Everyone who watches these kinds of shows are though. That's why most are Gus fans. And again, it's more of the arrogance Walt exudes than the actual competency.
@@thedarkemissary "she expects a little more competency from her villains" Walt isn't a "villain", and Gus is a cartoon character.

Always sided with Walt in one thing in this episode and no one else seems to. Mike not bringing up paying the guys in prison to remain silent earlier is wrong. That should have been agreed to before they started this business. I agree it needed to be done, but won't to not get approval if that first.
I think what bothers me about your commentary on Walt is that you're asking him to strip himself of who he truly is. It's honestly why this show is so brilliant, no innate characteristics are compromised in any character.
jesse plemons is so good at playing a dead-eyed aw-shucks psychothat it was genuinely weird the first time i saw him playing a non-creep.
See for me the sequence was _Friday Night Lights_ (wholesome awkward naïve teenager), _Breaking Bad_ (quiet turning to steadily increasing psycho factor), _Fargo_ (probably the most innocent guy in the whole bloody affair), so Todd was definitely the odd creep out for a while :) And yes, excellent job.
I loved Jesse Plemons in Game Night 😂😂 definitely played into his creep reputation (in roles of course)
Are the extremely bad takes intentional at this point to get idiots like me to comment? If so, well done! Gonna stay subbed just til the end of the season to see how much they shit on Ozymandias.
I highly doubt they'll shit on Ozymandias, they've said over and over again how much they love the show. They just think Walt is a huge douche.
Interesting Breaking Bad trivia. Note when Walter an Jr. are watching Scarface, three actors from B.B. and Better Call Saul also star in Scarface. The actors that play Hector (don't know his name, think he is just a hitman), Don Eladio (plays Manny in Scarface), and I won't spoil it, but the woman that plays Scarface's mom is in Better Call Saul (in Better Call Saul she plays an important character's grandmother).
I KNEW that Don Eladio looked familiar, but I never made a connection that he is Manny. Now when I think about it then yes it is the older him.
Yup Hector Salamanca is the hitman from that movie.
Knew the first two but didn't know that Scarface mom = that character in BCS's grandma. Thanks,
Dead eyed Todd has entered the chat.
Walter's need for control stems from not having any his whole life. He started the series emasculated, made fun of by hank. Later gus tells him that the man provides for his family. He does all this to boost what he thinks and man should be for his family, all while sacrificing the love of his family.
Sorry, I agree with Walt. Paying those 9 guys ridiculous amount of money in lock-up to keep quite is crazy.

‘’Daddy Gus” is so hypocritical holy smokes
"walt aint the daddy", meanwhile walt continues to leave a trail of dead bodies behind him.
Walt thinks like a leader, not a follower. He has no reason to pay Mike's guys. Mike has the problems. Not Walt.
Jesse Plemons (Todd) is an excellent actor. He could play a calm, low key character, as well as an unhinged, off the rails one. And do both of those characters perfectly well.
What's crazy ladies is the fact that we get an almost speechless reaction, and when not, it's only Walter criticism. And the criticism is hollow most of the time, hate just to hate kinda thing. Like yeah dah Walt is an evil and prideful guy, but also a genius, and all of that together makes him so capable. Like calling the guy an idiot it's just using the word wrong at this point
Walt is dumb MF. He is a genius in his field of knowledge, but business-wise he is just an amateur.
His hubris is almost unbearable.
@@xensonar9652 This lack of media literacy is whats unbearable.
@@the_crypter Indeed. The history of storytelling is full of villains who we love to hate, who frustrate us, who we curse and root against. I don't understand why people feel the need to defend them. We're supposed to have a strong negative reaction to them. It's fiction. Nobody gets hurt when a villain is disliked.
@@xensonar9652 No one has ever claimed that Walt was a good guy, 99% of us agree, he did some bad shit. The problem is the non-stop hatred, the vitriol everytime he's on screen is unbearable. You have to understand, as fans we like the main character and its fun to watch him to good and do bad. He's a fun character and people love that. Then we get to this channel and you get these two who just shit all over him for the sake of shitting all over him. The hatred and virtue signalling gets old very fast. Its painful to watch people make decision based on emotions and are blinded by these emotions so much that they're missing part of the fun of this show and thats watching Walt do his thing. We get it, you/they don't like Walt, we just dont need to hear about it every single time he's in a scene. Imaging your favorite fictional character and then see these two shitting all over that character. People speak up to counter their 'shitting' and instead of dialog, we get called "fanboys" and "incels" and every other name in the book. Look at their like to dislike ratio, there are no other BB reactor with so many dislikes. Its hard to watch people hating on a show you love.
Walt did sign the divorce papers... he also didn't lie. He also resigned to playing gus' games, then gus started shopping Jesse around.(Walt is very bad, but lets give other characters their due.)
Also, let's be honest. Keeping Hanks guys around in prison is a no bueno idea.
One of the most memorable lines of the series (among many) is in this episode when Mike says to Walt: "Just because you shot Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James."
I like when Marrie goes, it's a good day to break bad and steals a spoon.
Walter is the evil genius, Gus thought he was.
Huh 🤔
I agree, specially in S5
YOU GUYS NEVER SEEN SCARFACE!!!!! Another movie added to the reacts list, a must watch.
Walt is such a cold manipulator. Jesse can't even have a sweet home life with Andrea. Gotta nix that!
Finally the true villain has entered the show.
Reading all the comments here, its pretty fucking funny seeing that even after Better call saul, after all these years, theres walt fangirls still on full blast lmao.
Keep telling yourself that
🫢🤭
They identify too much with his character arc of emasculated man -> tough guy to ever admit the reality that his character is really a tale of megalomaniacal self-destruction
I disliked Walt. I consider him the villain of this story.
Now what I find a bit annoying is seeing people putting the fanboy/fangirl label on anyone that tries to at least paint a nuanced picture of the character.
Yes some people are fanboying and it's equally annoying.
Yes some people are responding to these reactions with way too much passion when, in reality, it's not that big of a deal.
But to be fair, most of the comments I see are pointed toward the lack of nuance in Maple and Arianna's interpretations of the different characters.
I find a lot of valid points in these comments, but if you disagree feel free to respond with you own take and let's have a conversation.
@@Unherist I just find it pretty silly that people get so offended on Walt's behalf. Sure, I don't think diegesis are seeing his character perfectly rationally and yes they are heavily negatively biased against him. But this is a reaction video. The point isn't for the reactor to affirm the viewer's own opinions, but for us to see someone's honest reaction to the show. And I think it's an obnoxious fun-killer when half the comments are people going "Let me explain to you why you're completely wrong about this fictional character."
As for Walt himself, personally I love him as a main character to watch, but that's because he is extremely flawed and not meant to be admired and therefore interesting. He's obviously a very smart man, a minor genius when it comes to chemistry, but he is also very stupid and short-sighted in other ways when his ego is involved. I think his character is perfectly summed up *SPOILERS* by Hank later in the season when he says to Walt, "You're the smartest guy I ever met, and you're too stupid to see..."

Talking about « if he only didn’t want to be in control. » You remember that Gus wanted to steal Walt’s formula through Gales observance and have him killed when Walt killed the two dealers to save Jesse ? Then he manipulated Jesse to make him think he saved mike in season 4 to steal him away from Walt so he can have the formula and a cook willing to put it to use without Walt. Gus is more of a Control freak than Walt ever was. Walt didn’t like his boot on his neck nor did he liked his appending doom, nor did he like someone stealing his intellectual property. It might have been the battle of Egos and Walt won by outwitting Gus. By using his control obsession against him. If Gus allowed Tyrus to do Hector by himself as he proposed he would still be alive. But he needed to look down at him talk down at him and kill him with his own hands.

Thumbnails crazy. 😂
To play devils advocate a little bit here. Consider that these guys that Mike is talking about are Mikes old hit squad they don't know anything about the cooking side of the business and its implied in the show that they don't know Walt or Jesse so while Walt is right in saying its not his problem you guys and Mike are also right in saying that it is a legacy cost that they would just have to pay. Also consider how new Walt is to this criminal lifestyle like Lydia he is also almost convinced that you can settle this like the movies with no repercussions.
which only shows how dumb Walt is. THE FREAKING LAB WAS RAIDED, so it is obvious that people in the laundry above were arrested. Same with the fast food business, which Mike even mentions that the trucks used are impound. If he was intereseted about the specifics of the costs, like you know, any normal person would be, he should inquire. Ask Mike.
And we all know that later on he will know exactly who these dudes are due to his "plan".
@@Sig509 Its not dumb, its more greedy than anything. He doesn’t want to pay his share of the legacy costs for Mike’s guys and possibly wants to deal with those guys in another way
I think it's a relatability thing. Like if Maple and Arianna still had to pay insurance on cars they no longer own, they wouldn't be happy either. It's not that Walt doesn't understand the cost of doing business. He just can't logically associate continuing to pay for expenses from an unassociated operation. 15:30 Walt does not trust Jesse, and we can tell because any time he's actively trying to manipulate Jesse into staying with him he brings up Gale (and usually he mentions Gale specifically by name but alludes to "the rest" super generally). unlike Walt, Jesse takes so much responsibility for their crimes and feels so much guilt for things he either wasn't responsible for (Jane) or was manipulated/forced to do (Gale). Walt knows this, and knows that by talking about Jesse's potential future with Andrea and Brock but making it conditional on him being honest with her about "Gale and the rest," Jesse would more likely break things off with her than involve her in the world that has already taken so much from him (and her, although she doesn't totally realize it).
also him bringing up Victor and going from "it was Gus trying to send me a message" to "maybe Victor flew too close to the sun" and completely missing "someone very involved with Gus' business was seen by several witnesses at the scene of the crime where one of his employees was just murdered by another one of his employees and he had to clean up" shows just how self-focused he is, he's so funny

What game was Walt supposed to play with "Daddy Gus"? The game where he sits back and lets Jesse get murdered? Walt broke with Gus over protecting Jesse. If Gus wants to be "Daddy Gus" he needs to pay the price. That means accommodating the special issues with your uniquely talented resources. If Jesse doesn't like how Gus' street dealers are doing business, Gus should be feeding the dealers into a woodchipper, because you can always find another hood to sell on the corners, but Walter's meth talent is unique. This is his issue that's the equivalent of a movie star demanding the studio put up his entourage on location, or the rock star who wants a huge bowl of only brown M&Ms in his dressing room. The name of the game is keeping the talent happy. Walt & Jesse are the talent, and the dealers are the record store clerks. Did Phil Spector ever fire a member of his number one artist's backing band because the guy had a beef with a record store clerk, or a concert usher?
"Daddy Gus" had the exact same compulsive, self-destructive need for control that Walt has. Just like Skyler. And that's why they have been broken by Walt. And that's what is going on with Mike. Mike is flexing on Walt, he is trying to make himself feel less small, because for two seasons in a row, Mr I'm-So-Competent, Mr. I've-Seen-It-All has been left flabbergasted by Walt outmaneuvering him and his security precautions and whack a key member of Gus' organization. Walt might not be Jesse James, but neither is Mike. Just because you were one of Jesse James' lackeys and he got killed (on your watch) does not bump you up to Jesse James. But Mike had Walt take out two dealers, a cook and his two top henchmen, plus Gus, and then he (with Jesse's help, but then, who taught Jesse science?) manages to destroy the evidence Mike thought was impossibly out of reach.
And now, all of Mike criminal know-how and all of Gus' business acumen could not protect their funds from Walt's brother-in-law, and so he NEEDS Walt in order to make back the money to take care of his guys (because letting them turn rat or get killed to silence them would be another failure in Mike's mind). And Mike can't admit it, his pride and ego won't let him bend his neck or display any humanity to this mere science nerd. He hates that he needs Walt and that he can no longer hand down orders or treat him with the superior attitude he displayed when he was Gus' muscle & Walt the cook. And that's what all his arguments with Walt are really about. Walt is nitpicking the expenses and Mike is asserting them as snottily as possible, because they are in a pissing contest for the top dog. Since Walt was diagnosed, trying to dominate him has gone well for exactly zero people.
Mike is the guy who was leading Walt down into his lab to kill him for being loyal to Jesse, and only paused when Walt offered to give him Jesse's name and location, except he was able to warn Jesse to kill Gail instead. So from that perspective, Mike's rationale about loyalty and not murdering your own people smells like bullshit. Mike isn't nearly as opposed to murder or loyal to his associates as he likes to pretend, or at least his stance on such issues keeps redounding to Walt's detriment.
Walt caused all of this and the destruction thst will follow. I understand the Walt fangirls will always blame everyone else for his fuckups but be a tad bit fair
@@joetamburello6292 I was specifically addressing the myth that Walt ruined Gus' operation out of the blue, that it's all his fault. Gus decided to kill Walt and Walt defended himself. This is not an interpretation, these are facts. If the destruction of Gus' operation is a fuckup on Walt's part, explain how?
@@Gunleaver Agree to Disagree
Yea I'm not enjoying this recent trend of looking at "Daddy Gus" through rose tinted glasses. His entire arc is about being so consumed by revenge that it gets him killed. He makes many stupid mistakes out of emotion and it's all shrugged off cos he's stoic in a way Walt isn't. Great villain, but jesus christ can we stop worshipping him the way people used to (and still do) with Walt.
@@joetamburello6292To be fair, what's there to disagree on? I'm by no means a Walt fanboy (you'll find comments of mine throughout the reactions calling out his ardent defenders) but he was prepared to work with Gus until Jesse went after the dealers.
The guy named Huell is a comedian Lavell Crawford. He's hilarious. Check out his stand up
the introduction of meth damon.
Never seen Scarface?
I was worried that "Breaking Bad" was gonna be plasterd on the screen. We had a good run. At least it's just the top and not over the entire thing
