before y'all comment to bring it to our attention, we realized right after this video that walt's conversation with jesse about andrea was complete manipulation to get him to break up with her 🙄 we discuss during the intro of the next video (which we recorded right after this one)!
Yes it's like he cares about him and it's like a warning to him because of what has happened between him and Skyler but at the same time Walt does nothing without a selfish motive he knew bringing that up would make Jesse break up with her to make sure he has full control over Jesse and so she won't find out and threaten to tell like Jane did so his caring dad demeanor is never sincere he always has an alternative motive. Walt doesn't want Jesse to tell her like he did Jane and threaten to tell and Walt have to kill her too.
You nailed it. Yes, he was getting Jesse to tell her a little too much. This obviously led to their breakup. Walt has graduated to evil Super Genius this season. If he had lived, he would have created his own "mini-me" and moved to a submarine.
@@TheRepublican777i think he just wants a loyal dog to control and anyone else in jesse's life might take that loyalty away from walt, much like jane. you're being way too generous with walter lol he loves the power he has over jesse
@@r.achel044 Well of course he does but what people forget at this point in the show is how many times you see him thinking of Jesse as a nephew even though he speaks to him like crap he cares about him to an extent because he was a student of his and he has a son only like 6 or 7 years younger and all the times he stuck his neck out to save Jesse's life even when Jesse didn't even realize it he is always looking out for him but in doing that he got more and more possessive over him like he owns him or something now he takes advantage of Jesse's loyalty to him and uses it to manipulate him and he also doesn't like Jesse looking at him in a bad way he wants Jesse to keep looking up to him so he spins his web of lies. But I'm his own way and at the end of the day he still cares for Jesse just not in a normal healthy way. And if you notice, even though Jesse's dumb moments annoy the heck out of Walt, he actually enjoys Jesse's company if you notice when he tries to spend time with his own son they have some moments but he can't do certain thing with his son he is in his own teen world and doesnt like to do certain things with walt even though he thinks he is a great dad, he actually looks up to Hank more. The Scarface watching is no random reference, Vince Gilligan had said that the premise of the show was how a mild-mannered Mr Chips turns into Scarface/Tony Montana... And here we are at season 5.
And so is Matt Jones who plays Badger. They're both classically trained pianists, although Charlie Baker (Skinny Pete) has played in a professional capacity.
@@IgnisKhan It is in fact real. You can Google it. Charlie Baker is a classically trained pianist and got to play the keyboard in this episode because one of the writers walked in when he and Matt were sitting between takes playing the piano.

Yeah, me too and I agree. I'm addicted to BB reactions and these 2 are good but damn I wish Eric would shut up!!! He'll constantly ask questions during scenes so he misses the answer to his questions because hes talking thru it! I'm like "shut the hell up and you'll hear the answer!" This episode in particular made me acutely aware of how manipulative Walt really is. Not a single conversation with Jesse is genuine, he's *always* working him.
Walt manipulated Jesse into breaking up with Andrea in that conversation where he said if he wants a good long term relationship with her, he'd have to tell her about everything he's done, including the Gale thing.

In an interview Jesse Plemons said the only information on Todd he was given prior to shooting was from a writer who told him: "you know when you're driving & a deer pops out on the road in front you- do you swerve into the oncoming car on the left or do you go right and crash into the ditch? You hit the deer".
6:12 Hmmm!! Wow! The Birth of Todd. I thought you guys would have recognized the Oscar and Emmy-nominated Jesse Plemons and figured he'd become a main character. Eric seems to pick up on these things. Kailyn's expressions and big, beautiful eyes of surprise (beginning 21:48) followed by the wide mouth are always epic! It's easy to see why Anna Gunn won two Emmys.
I was specifically hoping they WOULDN’T, and thereby be caught sufficiently off-guard by certain events later on. Giancarlo Esposito’s current level of fame has pretty much ruined Gus Fring’s low key “guy in the background you take no notice of” into & subsequent surprise reveal as the Meth Kingpin Walt & Jesse were seeking out, and now it’s a shame to think the same thing might be happening to that nice boy Todd.
Pretty much everyone blame Walt about poisoning the kid. But I don't think he had much choice. He was saving his and his family lifes (at least Hank's for sure).
