Oh Olivia, What an inspiring video! I Love this color combination! The mantle garland and topiaries are gorgeous! The devotional on aging is so true. I am 61 and my husband and myself have been caring for our aging parents for about 5 to 6 years now. We lost both of our fathers in 2021. Now our attention has been shifted to our Mothers. Though we have faced some great challenges God has shown us some truly beautiful moments through it all and has brought us through with his grace. It is amazing what you learn as the years go by and each season of life has its own unique lessons and blessings. Thank you again for sharing your talents and faith!❤️🙏
Wowza! I am in awe of all the beauty you have created in this video. I love all of the colors. I just want to say that I believe in individuality. In my opinion I say throw out tradition. Also, use what you have and love. Decorate your home for yourself. After all. It is you whose doing all of the work. If people can’t replace your ideas with their own color scheme in diys then they aren’t very crafty. It’s all about individualism in my book. I believe you are so very good at what you do that you could do it blind folded. After all. You craft backwards and everything you create is absolutely amazing and beautiful!! I think in the earlier days when we were limited on what the stores offered, has made people get stuck on so called traditional decor. We can’t all have the same brains that think the same. You have inspired me so much that I make most of the door prizes for my family reunion. My family has appreciated my work and creativity. Everyone gets a ticket at the beginning and when time for the drawing I let whoever’s number is called to go and choose their prize until they are all gone. Last year I made the pumpkins with florals and I hung a pair of fall earrings onto the arrangement and the ladies loved them and wore them right away. I usually do a football theme diy for the guys and add chips and salsa. The year before I made lanterns out of the toy car tracks and some with the dowels and square Dollar Tree signs and florals. i so needed the devotional on aging. i took my mom to the dr yesterday and i came home and asked my husband “how could god do this to my mom? she has middle stage dementia and i’m sad for her but i’m also worried i’m seeing my future. thanks for the sweet devotional. it hit my heart. ❤️
My daddy had dementia also. I can understand your fear about your future since I have a similar one. Prayer journaling helps to quiet my anxieties. You all will be in my prayers also. Sending you gentle hugs.
God didn't do this to your mom. Dementia is genetic, disease based, and it also is linked to diet, sugar in diet, environmental factors, heavy metals, etc. My father had Parkinson's induced dementia, so I can relate. It's hard to go through. Get as much research on it as you can, so you know how to communicate with your mom in the different stages she will go through. Many people cannot be caregivers to their parents. Many can. Finding out as much as you can about the disease will help you and your relationship with her. God's blessings to both of you.
(Meant to say Dementia can be.) My hubby and I took care of my father for 8 years in our home. Seeing his decline was very difficult for me, as he was my best friend. But, I had to look past it to care for him. Happens in late life with our aging parents, we become the caregivers. Dementia is not for the faint of heart, plus with 2 other disease processes going on. I used to sing to my father "You are My Sunshine" to bring a smile to his face. As difficult as it was, it was the most rewarding thing in my life I ever did. Be sure to have an outlet and help, if you choose this route, as it is mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting and not for everyone. We are both in the medical field, too. Thinking of you and prayers for you both.

Years ago, I took one of the "Leaf Peepers" flights in New England. It is a small Cessna that flies relatively low over the fall foliage in the White Mountains. I was really surprised at the color palette that really exists in nature during the fall season. We always think of the bright yellow and orange, but it is so much more than that. There is plenty of green because of the pine, but the trees that lose their leaves vary in colors as well. It has really changed the way I do my fall decor.

I love this! I have Old Country Roses china that we inherited on display in an open china cabinet in my dining room. I'm going for gold, copper and pinks for fall and Christmas for that room! You've inspired me, as usual! ❤My favorite fall recipe is butternut squash, sweet potatoes, apples and carrots cut into chunks, sprinkled with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and roasted ! Yum! Also, anything pumpkin!
