The Darkhold scene actually gutted me; I wasn't expecting the show to give Agatha that much emotional depth but Kathryn nailed it. The Road is meant to lead you to what you want most, so which does she want more? Getting her power back or getting her son back?
the scene with the crib is a really big example of the emotional depth we're getting with Agatha but i also really liked the smaller, subtler things that hint that a lot of Agatha's callousness is at least partly a defense mechanism. she immediately jumps in to drink the poison the second Teen offers to do it, which is in contrast to how flippant she is about him and everyone else for the most part. when Lillia is traumatised by her hallucinations, Agatha is surprisingly gentle and doesn't mock her or make any digs about it. when Jen starts panicking, Agatha doesn't throw insults and while she makes it clear that she doesn't /like/ Jen, she respects her work and capability, which grounds Jen enough for her to remember the last ingredient. and when they're rushing to get Sharon the antidote, she asks if it worked with clear concern, and only starts being flippant and callous again when it seems like it didn't
I love that Agatha is her own worst enemy in this so far and it seems like "teen" is there to call her on it. I'm willing to be he does have some connection to her son as a result though.

Now we have two subtle lines from her that don't fit into the conversation, one is "I love u guys" and "Try to save Agatha".... if this is right then the next episode could be very interesting...

SO maybe they forgot to add her hair in there which is part of the prerequisite for the antidote to work...?
@Jjoker74 Nah, I don't think that poison only works for witches. So it only stands to reason that the antidote of it should also be generic and not exclusive to witches.
I was going to say that at don't see them add all the hair because of the hallucination, but if they almost forgot to give her the potion, they definitely forgot her hair too
I think Agatha believes Teen might be her son. Gawd it’s gonna hurt when she finds out who he really is. Glad the show is leaning hard on the Nicholas Scratch theory cause when the twist of his identity happens is gonna be so good.
Okay, them trying so hard to push the "Teen is Nick Scratch" idea in episode 3 makes me now think it *can't* be him 😂 So Billy Kaplan with Billy Maximoff's soul still? Maybe. Either way, what I find interesting is that, despite Agatha's cold exterior most of the time (and even at the end here), she showed real empathy for Lilia when Lilia had her hallucination, she showed concern for Teen when he threatened to drink the poison, and she seemed truly traumatized by her own hallucination despite ostensibly having made the choice to sell her son for the Darkhold. There are layers to Agatha that she hides behind a facade, and I get the feeling we'll be seeing that facade peel away throughout the trials.
I saw some people point out that maybe Teens accident from 3 years ago “Wandavision” timeframe was when Billy’s mind went into the body of Billy Kaplan during the car accident mentioned in episode 1
Great episode! Lots of little Easter eggs and callbacks. But the "I can't protect you!" scream was brutal. These episodes are just rocketing into amazing territory
i’m wondering if the deal she struck was more along the lines of sacrificing her first born son for the darkhold before she had actually had him. Somewhat in line with some more famous examples of deals with the devil
I think it’ll still end up being Billy Maximoff (now Kaplan) in the end, but they’re laying breadcrumbs to misdirect and make us think (along with Agatha, in the show) that Teen being Nick Scratch reincarnated is a possibility, just to rip the rug away and break Agatha’s heart all over again at the end.
I feel like she's gonna bond with him, thinking it's her son. And then boom in the last episodes she's gonna get bamboozled because it's actually Wanda's son. That Wanda hate meter is gonna go maximum lol
I'm thinking they're gonna make Billy a reincarnation of both Nicky and Billy Maximoff. This will make Agatha and Wanda both mothers to him. This would also, more than likely, force the two of them to develop a respect for one another in the future, as in the comics Wanda and Agatha become allies, with Agatha kind of serving as a mentor/oracle to Wanda. Should be interesting to see how this all unfolds.
Glamor is a _"technical"_ term regarding magic. Enchanting someone or changing someone's perception of reality rather than actually changing reality. I was unfamiliar with it in this context until a bunch of reactors started calling out a vampire using a glamor ability to mind control someone in another series. I only knew of the magazine and "glamor shots." I assume it's common among different interpretations of vampire since so many people made that connection. I don't think it's a sneaky Easter egg.
I'm also wondering what Agatha's trial is going to be, mostly because I don't think we know what kind/specialty/subclass of witch she is. Lilia is divinations, Alice is protection, Jennifer is potions/alchemy, and Rio is green. Based on Agatha's trial by her own coven, it doesn't seem like "dark magic" is a specialty that they are supposed to be dabbling in and thus I doubt the Witches' Road would require one. So the question is, what was her specialty originally?
I think Agatha did not sacrifice her son willingly. I think either she was tricked into doing it by someone (Rio) or perhaps someone else (Rio) sacrificed her son for the book. It makes sense how Agatha is cares for Rio but also angry with her. It could also be foreshadowed when Rio asked Agatha (which she' still under Wanda's spell) if Agatha remembers why she hates Rio. Perhaps they were lovers/partners in the past, they wanted the book of the damned, Rio discovered it needs a child sacrifice, so she sacrificed Agatha's baby. When Agatha discovered what Rio did, she stole the book and ran away from Rio never to be seen again until the book was destroyed by Wanda.
let's not make up stories now. Agatha most definitely sacrificed her son and now that she's powerless she can actually feel like a human and have decent emotions. that's most likely what it is.
I think teen/Billy is both wanda and agatha son, mephisto took him but when Wanda created Billy he decided to merge them but teen escaped or got send free
15:42 Yes you do! It’s what gives Vicks Vaporub its distinct smell. It’s also what you smell in the Koala area of the Zoo because they eat so much of it.
It was 100% younger Lilia. In the credits they list "Young Lilia" as a part and she's speaking Italian. She's an old Sicilian witch so her speaking Italian makes sense. Apparently the old woman at the table was her old teacher or something
I kinda hope they stick with the Wizard of Oz theme since you could say this episode was a Test of Knowledge based off of what Agatha said to Jen towards the end of the trial, similar to the Scarecrow wanting brains from the Wizard. If the pattern follows, maybe next will be a Test of Heart followed by a Test of Courage. I guess you could argue Alice and something with her mother could constitute the Heart test, but she did seemed pretty scared of her mom too like she and their family curse gave her a lot of trauma, so maybe that could be the Courage test instead. Lilia’s test could be Heart as well since she seems to have the most passion and respect for her witch-kin too. It’s kind of a reach, but it’s my head canon until proven otherwise. Can’t wait for the next episode!
yeah he is hidden to ALL witchkind, which is another point for the Billy theory, i’m guessing wanda would want her son protected from all kinds of witches
I think that Teen is Scratch. I think the locket has his hair in it. I think she was power hungry and made a deal for the book but was griefstricken when she realized what it meant. During the wine scene, she abruptly stops him from drinking the poison, in the woods when the coven gets too curious about him, she pushes him behind her.
Nice reference to The X-Files concerning cerulean blue. I remember that episode and exactly how it was used by the 'bad guy' to help him escape custody.
There could still be a possibility he’s Billy. When he’s sitting on the couch talking to Alice he said, “a lot happened to me at 13 too”. According to him he’s 16, and it’s been three years since the events of WandaVision, so maybe he’s the reincarnation of Billy’s soul.
So.... when everyone started suggesting teen was billy... ... i initially couldn't think of any billy other than the billy from hocus pocus... and was so confused... 😶😅😑 (i sorted it fairly fast... but still...) ~ anyhow, laugh at me and know whatever theories that come about, none will be that far off base. Lol
God I’m loving this show. It’s so much fun! And dark and spooky. Don’t forget that they forgot to add Sharon’s hair to the potion, that’s why she died.
Thank you for the reaction I am enjoying it a lot, now that I think about it Sharon died because they said one of the effect of the poison is death and they didn't put her hair in the antidote from what we saw and now either she will be dead dead or they will do something to bring her back.
I think that the black heart character is a death witch and the reason I think that is her magic is green and Thor’s sister Hella uses green colored magic and she has domain over undead as well as in trailers we seen her crawl out from the ground and seeing who dies at the end of this makes me feel that’s her way of getting to the road, even though she’s not part of the coven. Also the fight and the first part she says she can drain her in. Agatha says it would kill her so if her magic is death itself, I think that stands up and that might be why she doesn’t like her because she took somebody and didn’t raise them back from the dead. It could also be why the black heart character can’t kill Agatha and Agatha definitely can’t kill her.
I feel so bad for Sharon. She wasn't even supposed to be there and she gets stuck in this. And in the end, Agatha didn't even bother to remember her name, and everyone just looked at her like "really?".
There is a theory that Sharon is actually Rio all along. We’ve seen in trailers Rio claw her way out of the ground on the road. Most likely they will put Sharon off the road and the ground will take her like the purse. Then Rio will pop out.
The thing is that they forgot Sharon's hair in the potion and they almost forgot to give her a drink, that's why the potion didn't work on the color on the first try either.
Did you pick up on the Colorado reference? That’s where Nicholas Scratch created the Salem 7 in “New Salem” so this show is definitely sticking to the comics. And I think you’re right this could go either way but I think “The Teen” could actually be her real son undercover as Nicholas Scratch as an agent of Mephisto. Yeah we probably judged this prematurely. 97% agree. I’m excited to see what direction this goes. I think the next trial will be the 70’s disco regarding Alice. Either that or a mind screw with Lilia and the Wizard of Oz. Those are coming. 😮 Aubrey is joining the coven soon, we’ll save that for Agatha’s final trial or something to that order.
OK, long theory follows (about Teen) "A lot happened to me at thirteen too" Teen said. Teen is 16. (he said so in Ep2) Three years ago he was 13. Three years ago Wanda created and then stopped the hex and Vision and the twins were lost. (established Ep1) Three years ago there was a "near death in Westview" just before Wandavision began (it's in the credits under Joe Locke's credit) Agnes (in the hex) talked about a car accident "connected" to the "case" (ie Wanda) Two airbags deployed, with blood in the backseat. The Kaplan parents are cast in this show (IMDB) I believe Teen is not after "the power to blast, levitate etc" but trying to save his parents from their comas. My theory? Teen is Nicholas Scratch, who was hidden BY RIO (aka Blackheart, child of Mephisto) but not as a trade. She did it to SAVE him from his OTHER mother's obsession. (Just because dad is evil don't mean you have to be - think DCs Raven). When Wanda created her kids in the hex, she harvested the souls of Billy Kaplan and Tommy (possibly his brother? possibly in the other car?) BOTH were involved in the car accident. When the hex dissolved they went back to their bodies and woke from their comas. Billy retained his "memories" of Wanda, magic, Agatha etc. If you rewatch and keep an eye on Teen, he is NEVER looking away from Agatha (unless he has to). He's using her the way she uses others. hmm... I wrote A LOT ...maybe I need to switch to de-caf?
It was in the review; Rio's hand comes up out of the ground like a zombie, and she joins them on the road. And, off the subject, but this always drives me crazy, there is not such thing as "to not," its "not to." Remember Hamlet: "To be, or not to be." It wasn't "To be or to not be."
Rio represents death. thats why they refer to her as the black heart. that's also why she holds a knife that is on the death terra card. once sheron died I bet that'll call RIO to them which is how she joins them on the road. I also bet she will bring Sharon back to life in the end... maybe... i hope....
It’s been years since I have been excited for a tv series the last time it was Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the 90s God Agatha All Along is now my favorite Marvel ANYTHING!! It Surprised WandaVision God I love Kathryn Hahn she’s a top notch actress who’s underrated
I still think Teen will end up being Billy. He said "A lot of things happened when I was thirteen too". He was thirteen 3 years ago, which was when Wandavision happened.
Personally I think teen cannot be Agatha's son because when the sigil activates in the car, the last audible thing we hear is that he was born and raised in Eastview. But Agatha is not from Eastview and hasn't been in that town for more than three years.
she says i hate you to rio, i think maybe rio made the deal to sacrifice agathas kid and agataha went to check on her kid and the book was there instead of her kid. she studied the book of the damned to find a way to get her kid back. that is why she was like you can bring back the dead? to wanda also teen convinced them to take the corpse of mrs heart, and i feel the corpse will matter in the next episode, like rio will come from the corpse.
I think the sigil was just a squiggly line. You don't go through the trouble of hiding him with a spell just to effectively brand him with his initials.
IDK the way Jen casually name drops Mephisto so early in the show makes me believe he is not involved. Feels more like fan appeasement to mention him at all.
I'm still with the Billy theory only because they continuously seem to introduce characters who will end up to be in the young avengers lineup. But won't be surprised if it the "teen" ends up being Agatha's son.
Dunno what order they’re going in for the trials-it’s not the order from the ballad either, otherwise Alice would have been first. Hers will be next week though! Each witch specialty needed corresponds to an element-potions was water, protection is fire, divination is air, and green is of course earth. And actually, from the trailers we’ve already seen all five trials. I love the new layers to Agatha’s personality they’re uncovering and how they balance them with what they know. She’s still our chaos-loving, self-serving bitch, but as much as she despises working with and relying on others, when she gets serious, she actually really IS a natural leader and protective person. And I think those are probably instincts that she’s tried very hard to bury because they make her vulnerable. The Nick Scratch thing is reeeeeaaaally interesting. i feel like Jen might suspect something, because part of her talk with Teen almost feels like she’s trying to gauge his reaction when she mentions Mephisto and how Agatha might not even recognize her son if he showed up. I also really like your theory that maybe Agatha made a deal without understanding the cost, because I do think there’s a lot of guilt and shame there, like she might let people believe she gave him up because it makes her sound cruel and powerful, but the truth is that she failed to protect him somehow.
RIO VIDAL É A MORTE. Rio Vidal é um disfarce. Por isso Agatha não pode roubar o poder dela. . A mesma Morte que teve um romance com Thanos. 100% de certeza. 😂😂😂

The whole thing with Nicholas Scratch and Teen’s identity screams red herring
I think Señor Scratchy is her son. She just doesn't know it
I feel like she's gonna bond with him, thinking it's her son. And then boom in the last episodes she's gonna get bamboozled because it's actually Wanda's son. That Wanda hate meter is gonna go maximum lol
Yeah he is either going to be both, or end up being Billy and thst would make Agatha hate Wanda more or perhaps even turn on the coven
That mephisto mention tho!!! R.I.P Sharon
Who’s Sharon?
8:52-9:14 This is exactly why I think Agatha's son Nicholas Scratch could be the main villain of this show.
"I didn't put that clumsy glamor on him."
Glamor being Wanda's stage name in WV episode 2. So many little Easter eggs.
I just realized when Sharon says “ Have you seen Huge Tiny Lies,” that it was a nod to “Big Little Lies.” The beach house vibes fit the show lol.
Love your reactions and your excitement and joy comes through!
Teen mentioned that his father used one of those water heaters I wonder who he’s referring to, vision or someone else.
It was 100% younger Lilia. In the credits they list "Young Lilia" as a part and she's speaking Italian. She's an old Sicilian witch so her speaking Italian makes sense. Apparently the old woman at the table was her old teacher or something
RIP Sharon.
I know it’s just the lights, but your hair looks tinted purple and it looks fabulous on you!
I think you missed the part where none of the witches can hear his name 💯💯
yeah he is hidden to ALL witchkind, which is another point for the Billy theory, i’m guessing wanda would want her son protected from all kinds of witches
"Is that our Exit?"
Great Reaction!
Omg for a second I thought you dyed your hair purple, but it was just the lights😂😂😂
I’m not gonna lie I cried when I found out Sharon a.k.a. Mrs. Hart died.
Pusher! One of the few villains they bring back too!
I hope that by the end of the road, they wish for Sharon to be back
20:47 perfect 😂
There could still be a possibility he’s Billy. When he’s sitting on the couch talking to Alice he said, “a lot happened to me at 13 too”. According to him he’s 16, and it’s been three years since the events of WandaVision, so maybe he’s the reincarnation of Billy’s soul.
in the credits is revealed that Lilia really saw her young self.
Disney is simply getting this series right, and one episode is better than the other, I hope it continues. 💜🔥
If Rio is actually Mephisto's daughter that would be so awesome
the lighting in this episode was AMAZIJG
So.... when everyone started suggesting teen was billy... ... i initially couldn't think of any billy other than the billy from hocus pocus... and was so confused...
The sigil isn't only for Agatha. All of the witches present can't hear Teen too
Thank you for the reaction I am enjoying it a lot, now that I think about it Sharon died because they said one of the effect of the poison is death and they didn't put her hair in the antidote from what we saw and now either she will be dead dead or they will do something to bring her back.
Sharron drank twice if not three times as much! she was dead long before that timer was up! sad to see her go!
Given that it's a magical poison, the amount probably didn't matter, not including her hair in the antidote potion, though, probably did.
nah, she was moving a bit when they gave her the antidote. she died when the timer ran out.
I feel so bad for Sharon. She wasn't even supposed to be there and she gets stuck in this. And in the end, Agatha didn't even bother to remember her name, and everyone just looked at her like "really?".
Joe Locke is really busy, now in Agatha, next month in Heartstopper 3
There is a theory that Sharon is actually Rio all along. We’ve seen in trailers Rio claw her way out of the ground on the road. Most likely they will put Sharon off the road and the ground will take her like the purse. Then Rio will pop out.
The thing is that they forgot Sharon's hair in the potion and they almost forgot to give her a drink, that's why the potion didn't work on the color on the first try either.
RIP Kitty
Man, people are gonna go nuts over that Mephisto name-drop. XD
Sucks about Sharon though... T_T
OK, long theory follows (about Teen)
"A lot happened to me at thirteen too" Teen said.
Teen is 16. (he said so in Ep2)
Three years ago he was 13.
Three years ago Wanda created and then stopped the hex and Vision and the twins were lost. (established Ep1)
Three years ago there was a "near death in Westview" just before Wandavision began (it's in the credits under Joe Locke's credit)
Agnes (in the hex) talked about a car accident "connected" to the "case" (ie Wanda)
Two airbags deployed, with blood in the backseat.
The Kaplan parents are cast in this show (IMDB)
I believe Teen is not after "the power to blast, levitate etc" but trying to save his parents from their comas.
He's using her the way she uses others.
hmm... I wrote A LOT ...maybe I need to switch to de-caf?
this one was really fun
Actually they all cant hear "Teen's" Name or anything about him they said it hides it from "Witchfolk" so in assuming everyone whos similar to a witch
It was in the review; Rio's hand comes up out of the ground like a zombie, and she joins them on the road. And, off the subject, but this always drives me crazy, there is not such thing as "to not," its "not to." Remember Hamlet: "To be, or not to be." It wasn't "To be or to not be."
but do try to not be too didactic... oops
Imagine rio is lady death👁️👄👁️
Rio represents death. thats why they refer to her as the black heart. that's also why she holds a knife that is on the death terra card. once sheron died I bet that'll call RIO to them which is how she joins them on the road. I also bet she will bring Sharon back to life in the end... maybe... i hope....
I think we all collectively shit a brick when they finally said the M word, lol!
It’s been years since I have been excited for a tv series the last time it was Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the 90s
God Agatha All Along is now my favorite Marvel ANYTHING!! It Surprised WandaVision
God I love Kathryn Hahn she’s a top notch actress who’s underrated
I still think Teen will end up being Billy. He said "A lot of things happened when I was thirteen too". He was thirteen 3 years ago, which was when Wandavision happened.
Personally I think teen cannot be Agatha's son because when the sigil activates in the car, the last audible thing we hear is that he was born and raised in Eastview. But Agatha is not from Eastview and hasn't been in that town for more than three years.
she says i hate you to rio, i think maybe rio made the deal to sacrifice agathas kid and agataha went to check on her kid and the book was there instead of her kid. she studied the book of the damned to find a way to get her kid back. that is why she was like you can bring back the dead? to wanda
also teen convinced them to take the corpse of mrs heart, and i feel the corpse will matter in the next episode, like rio will come from the corpse.
The sigil apparently doesn’t work only on Agatha , but on all witches
I think the sigil was just a squiggly line. You don't go through the trouble of hiding him with a spell just to effectively brand him with his initials.
DUDE!!!!! I think you cracked it. Toto IS Blackheart!
Im thinking it didn't work for Sharon because they didn't get any of her hair.
Her death made me so sad but at least she’s with Mr Davis now😭😭
I do find it funny how so many people are switching to the Nicholas Scratch thought even though it's an obvious misdirect.
Awesome X-Files reference. "It's.... cerulean."
RIO VIDAL É A MORTE. Rio Vidal é um disfarce. Por isso Agatha não pode roubar o poder dela. . A mesma Morte que teve um romance com Thanos. 100% de certeza. 😂😂😂
Sharon wasn't a witch and yes the green witch is going to pop up just like you said... Literally from the ground.
RIP Sharon 😢
The series will make us believe that Joe Locke's character is Agatha's son, as in fact he is Wiccan at the end, and that's just my personal theory lol
I think Sharon will be back. My opinion is there’s more to her than meets the eye.
So either Billy or Nick Scratch. And this has been my theory since last week. But could be either one.
Death order prediction, Jenn, Lily, the protector girl
It's cheaper to bring RDJ back than it is to get a fourth episode of Debra Jo Rupp. She's swimming in that Netflix money like Scrooge McDuck.
"No. It's definitely blue. Thank you..." The Devil Wears Prada? "... The X-Files."
Oh...
Yeah that was a key plot point in an episode of X Files that came out 10 years before that movie haha Still never seen Prada though! One day maybe.
The effect give them their worst nightmare and sharon is wanda/scarlet witch choke her husband 😢
Well Im waiting for that ROP ep reaction, because it was nuts today
Obsesssed how kraglin and Kevin bacon get cell service from Knowhere but poor Sharon can’t get any bars on the road :((((((
