Agatha, pleading for the coven to not leave her with her mother, repeats the line she said to her mother before killing her and their original coven: "I can be good." GREAT WRITING!
I truly believe Agatha didn't mean to kill Alice. And she was scared that it happened, and regretted it. But when she tried to tell Teen/Billy that, he refused to believe her, insisting she must be lying and definitely meant to kill Alice for her own selfish gains. Agatha is used to people assuming she's evil, and I think she's learned to just lean into that: if they're going to demonize her no matter what she says, she may as well be the person they keep telling her she is. Which is honestly heartbreaking.
i agree 100%. further supported by Lilia saying 10 of wands as soon as Alice started to blast Agatha. The 10 of wants often refers to overwhelming responsibility or burden but that burden is often caused by one’s own determination. feels very fitting.
Which is further emphasized by her song “Agatha All Along” which was stylized like of the Munsters song, characters who were always judged for their appearances not who they really are.
@demetriuzz i think her mom knew of Agatha's magic having the ability act independently, but was just scared of what she couldn't understand. So she used the chance to demonise her when she accidentally killed her son. I see her having a son powerful feom young age an in a tantrum he hit Agatha with his magic and she couldn't stop what happened. Poor Agatha just cant catch a break and forced to play the role everyone sees her as.
THE REVEAL WAS FUCKING EVERYTHING! THE BLUE CROWN INSTEAD OF A HEADBAND? BRILLIANT COSTUME DECISION BY MARVEL! THE MIND CONTROL JUST LIKE HIS MOTHER! OMG, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE REST OF THE EPISODES! NEVER FORGET WICCAN IS SPECIAL, TOO. HE HAD HIS OWN STATUE AT MOUNT WUNDAGORE, JUST LIKE ᱬᗢ!
The reveal that Agatha doesn't fully control her power is so terrifying because, what if that's what happened to her son? What if Nicky's power activated and Agatha couldn't stop herself from sucking it in? And then Rio had to take him despite Agatha's pleading.
I feel like this will be the revile in future, and i hope Billie and everyone feels horrible for turning on her so fast when she was just as hurt for what happened to Alice.
@sarhahillsburg5142 I think that's where the trailer scene comes in. Where Billy asks Agatha "why do you let them think these things about you?" And she replies "because the truth is too horrible."
Major props to Kathryn Hahn. This episode showed so many interesting layers to Agatha. First, there's the scared/vulnerable Agatha. We saw it when she was concerned about Teen last episode & the fear at being left with her mother. Second, the masked bravado of Agatha. The one she cultivated, I think, as a defense mechanism. To seem like she doesn't care about anyone or anything. Now that we've seen more of her mother, I can definitely see that as a response to her mother's likely mistreatment of her growing up. If your mother said she wished she killed you think about what that does to a child and growing up like that? Lastly, this power hungry, slick version that comes upon her when she is absorbing power. Hahn's movements and body language are very interesting to watch in this stage. It's like she becomes a different person. I wonder if something happened around her birth or when she was a baby. It seems there's something larger than Agatha, very malevolent, that is around her, marked her, or because of her birth she tapped into, like she is a doorway to something etc. That is what her mother could have been sensing. Instead of figuring out what that was, she became convinced that Agatha was the source of the evil and turned against her own daughter. EDIT: NOTE I'm going based solely off what we've seen on tv. I know Agatha, the character, is in the comics.
I wholeheartedly agree with you, which is what made this latest switch to masked bravado so sad, because Agatha and Billy very clearly cared about each other, but Billy has had people constantly in his ear telling him she's evil which he tries to ignore only for her to end up killing his friend, while Agatha is used to people thinking the worst of her only for her to meet someone who genuinely admires her but then shit hits the fan and ends up coming to same conclusion people usually
Gotta wonder if the 'spellbook' was a limiter. Following the steps without using his emotions - and just like his mom, when he gets pushed into a corner, the crown comes out...
i love the little nods to rio’s identity over the course of the season, her hating ghosts, her being “in the neighbourhood” when sharon died, her laughing at the ouja board, and agatha’s trial being the ghost trial because she communes with death
We never saw her flying without a broom. (We also know through Agatha, Evanora, and Wanda that sufficiently powerful witches can levitate/fly on their own, so it wouldn't lean into Rio's identity)
@@digifreak90 that was my mistake, what i thought were her feet leaving the ground alone was actually teen getting on his broom, i forgot they’re all barefoot, but yhh it also wasn’t rlly a strong clue to begin with
Your comments on Agatha are so on-point. Ironically I think a part of the audience is doing exactly what people have been depicted to do with Agatha in the series, which is take things at face value. Kathryn Hahn's acting is so deliciously ambiguous that we're absolutely meant to be having a back and forth on Agatha's alignment until the finale, but to just pigeonhole her as evil is to kind of miss the point of the character.
Yeah I do believe she started taking the power alice was shooting willingly but then couldn't stop once the absorption had started and she does look truly remorseful but when the other begin to not even try and talk to her she plays into that image they have of her.
@@randomperson3119 Yeah Another sign to Billy that they weren't a true coven that ever should have been allowed to get to the end if they turn on each other so fast. My thing is Billy is super powerful if he has real chaos magic so I can see him getting pissed at how witches are in general if more are like this and deciding to take their magic like Baron Mordo
@randomperson3119 I counted four animals that made it through (four of The Salem 7). Is it possible that they possessed each of the four women in this episode and released Alice in time to die heroically and turn Billy and the coven against Agatha? With the exception of Billy, they turned on Agatha abnormally fast, so I wonder if they were possessed by four of The Salem 7 or the dead mothers of the four Salem 7s that made it to the road.
@@Jumbaride never caught only 4 of the 7 made it through. I did catch the switch up though. I was so confused why they suddenly was ready tie her up an beat her. Was like a witch hunt with witches leading it. I thought theh were gonna stone with how weirdly hostile they were acting. I hope get answers to that sooner rather later. Cause they were acting out of character to me with how fast they ALL turned on her.
You understood this show so well from this episode! And you understand Agatha so well! I remember we will hear Wiccan say to Agatha "why do you let everyone think all those awful things about you?" And she said "because the truth is worse". Can't wait for them to reveal Lady Death as well!!
My theory - Agatha could never control her power since birth. Everyone assumed she was evil because of this, like she was sucking people’s energy on purpose, and how she is now is just hurt by everyone who turned on her. I think her overcoming her inability to control her power is what she’ll ask for at the end of the road
I agree, and that would be really cool. I just wonder how they could redeem her after all she has done. Yes, she could be innocent of killing those who attacked her, but let's not forget she went to Westview looking for Wanda when she felt her hex, Wanda didn't attack her first and she was ready to kill her. She was trying to provoke this coven into blasting her and they would have died and last but not least she basically killed Sharon after manipulating her by tricking her into taking the road. Yes, she kind of gave her a choice but didn't give her near enough information for her to truly consent and then didn't even show regret or sympathy after she died. Personally, I think is better if she is not completely redeemable, specially with the MCU having so much problems to consolidate an interesting Villain. It's better if she stays a villain that can be encountered but not defeated like Loki. A really powerful villain who can do good but also does evil stuff for a higher purpose like Poison Ivy.
Lolol your wordless look to the camera at Agatha’s glance to Rio while they were flying is the only correct reaction I’ve seen so far. You’re absolutely right about Agatha’s trial here in the middle giving her somewhere to go. Personally I’m not even sure we’re done with the trial yet. And you are SPOT ON about Agatha’s character and the stuff with her mom. Major props, because no one else is getting it. Kathryn Hahn and Jac Schaeffer are doing something truly complex with Agatha as a “villain,” aka not really making her a villain, definitely not a hero either, but someone extremely complex and shaped by her trauma. And yes, I think Agatha almost blacks out when she starts absorbing other witches power, and it’s intoxicating, and she can’t stop it. Great reaction!!
I think the "ages 3 and up" is a reference to how "old" Teen is. Wanda created Billy three years ago in WandaVision. He can play because it's for ages 3 and up.
19:00 the deal with Rio being Death, also is she HATED ghosts (which is a deal with Death not claiming the soul), and when Agatha's mother said she wanted Agatha, Rio strongly said "you can't have her" as to say "she is mine to reap."
The Blood Moon is sometimes known as the Crimson Moon. It’s the same meaning since crimson is the specific red color for blood. More importantly, Alice was a real one but she paid a price that apparently even Agatha didn’t agree to.
WELCOME TO THE MCU WICCAN! I knew he was Billy the whole time like mother like son as for Rio yeah I'm getting the same vibes that she's Death the way she laughed when the spirit board spelled out the word "death" among other things and I'm with you I don't think Agatha meant to absorb Alice's magick
@@michaeltibbs7626 cicada! that’s the one. interesting theory re: wandavision but i kind of think agatha hasn’t had any contact with the seven for centuries until now.
Katherine Hahn has crazy levels of acting. Not only acting to be Agatha, but Agatha acting to have different emotions. And another banger of a song to end the episode!
THEORY TIME! Why are we getting a BAD ENDING halfway through the show??? This isn't Agatha's Trial! IT'S LILLIA'S Divination Trial! So SUPER HIGH chance this is a vision by Lillia and it can all be prevented!
@@amandamorales1144 When you look back on ep 3 and 4 Lillia says two things that struck me when i watched this episode! EP3 "Save Agatha!" EP4 "Alice! Alice Don't!" The episode even starts with Lillia waking up and warning everyone first, the Road is testing Lillia on her ability to Prevent the Bad Ending! It makes so much sense why it ends on a terrible ending of everyone but Teen dying! it's a BRILLIANT move on the writers leaving the breadcrumbs with Lillia's mini Divinations!
I have a theory that goes back to when Agatha revealed her true self in Wandavision. She told Wanda that she came to Westview because she sensed ‘the afterglow of so many spells cast all at once’. I think when she has magical power flowing through her veins she can sense the ambient mystical aura of magic users and their spells - as soon as she absorbed Alice’s power she got that aura sense back. She sensed Teen’s aura and immediately recognised it as similar to Wanda’s Chaos Magic. Despite the sigil spell (that an interview with a showrunner alludes) he placed on himself.
The moment he yelled out Nicolas Scratch, I knew it was Billy. Because if he was Agatha's son, no one would have been able to hear him say that name because of the sigil. Ive also been analyzing the lyrics of the song they sang to get to the road. In the song, the lyrics say "If one be gone, we carry on, Spirit as our guide." Agatha's trial was about communing with spirits. Agatha is the Spirit Guide in the song. This is supported because she is the one who keeps telling them to keep going on The Road and is also the one who is helping the others during the trials when they're starting to have self-doubt. She calmed both Jennifer and Alice down in their trials when they started freaking out.
Agatha has been saying she didn't mean to take the power, and she couldn't stop it since back in wanda vision. I always thought it was a 'reaction' she had no control over. Whenever she tries to get people to attack her, she says they have to hit her for her to steal it. I don't think she controls it. I think it's a self-defense mechanism.... now... i wonder why/how it's there.... is it a sidgel(sp?)... that she put on herself... to protect herself from her own mom?...
It seems to be a powerful spell she likely wanted to use for stealing magic and so no witch could kill her but she never expected that someone she cared about would attack
@lightdarksoul2097 i went the sidgel path cause it's topical to the show. And she said the witch who placed one wouldn't remember it either... she does seem genuine when she says she has no idea what's going on.... and it does seem that they're getting ready to reveal that Agatha was never as bad as everyone assumed... but maybe rolling with the rumors worked in her favor, so she went with it. They definitely set her mom up to not be the good guy after all, and that's where it started (I think). ... idk. My shots in the dark. 😊
@@dirtsa2828 But a sigil is a reduction spell (courtesy to Lillia)...idk tho, all your points seem to align with what I believe too, except for the sigil part. Like, she developed this magic because she wanted to protect herself from her mother
@@randomperson3119 maybe someone else put it on her. There's no need for a sigil. It just popped onto my head cause of the comments she made about sigils working in the witch who placed it, and i really do think she's not completely aware of how she takes power.
the blue, and mind control ability also mimics the powers he had at the end of Wandavision too. Also - my theory that the reason Agathas' hex went into the 'Agnes of Westview' detective style (according to her neighbor, only happened the last 3 days) - could be because Wanda left the universe) - could be she found some way to get Billy/Wiccan in the universe, or made some deal.... to get him there (as part of the whole poiint - was that the one universe where Wanda becomes the Scarlet Witch - is the same one where the Darkhold can be taken out, as well as the one universe where she doesnt get to be a parent to her kids, for real (but, in the role of Scarlet Witch - destined to take out the darkhold, that couldve been a key factor - take otu the thing defying her from what she wants, maybe she actually got ahold of that anti-darkhold book, went after it another time - and thats why.... Billy/Wiccan exists in her universe now )
Oh, and the spell on Teen that prevents him from letting Agatha know his name. Wanda is like the only person able to do that, I think. Chaos magic and all that.
@@serenitymoon825that's pretty cool, I didn't think of that, Rio already told her once and by saying Nicholas scratch name and hearing his voice saying "mom", Agatha got to know about teen
I think the whole episode was a premonition by lilia. The episode starts with lilia waking up from a premontion but I don't think she actually woke up. If you notice she has been speaking about misconceptions about witches the whole show and this episode had a lot of them being used. Also everyone was out of character for where we are in the story. The other witches wouldn't turn on agatha that quickly after last episode and jen and lilia's reactions after alice dies are way to muted. Plus jen calling teen a familiar and agatha calling him pet is weird since they have bonded with each other now and there is no possible way for agatha to even consider that teen is billy let alone to be confident about it.
It looked like Lilia and Jen were under Billy/Teen's control. When they grab Agatha, they have blue in their eyes. I wonder if he is seeking better control for his chaos magic. I think this is hopefully a premonition and the real challenge is next episode. Agatha's stealing seems out of her control and maybe that's what she will want control over at the end of the road, or Alice revived.
I agree with everything except Agatha not being able to guess who Billy is. A random teen with magic shows up in the same place Wanda held captive who has a sigil to protect his identity? That's already suspicious, and then at the end, he acts like Wanda does, which prompts Agatha to realize 'you're just like mother.'
This is why you’re one of my top 2 favorite reaction channels. You’re so insightful and you understand nuance where a lot of reactors just look at the surface. We have a lot of the same ideas and theories and it’s great to find a reactor that just gets it.
We did see a couple of the other animals in the second episode, following Agatha around. In addition to the crow, owl, snake, fox and bees from this episode, there's a rat and a wolf as well.
Ok, this comment made me laugh. Yes, I noticed the blue eyes and Billy had blue magic in his hand, so it's definitely like when Wanda controlled others. But that Night King moving franchises...good one!
It was really spooky watching the episode during Hurricane Milton. It is now so comforting to watch the reaction afterward. So happy I didn't have a power outage during the episode. My only ouija experience was as a teenager with some friends and we were on a roundabout that it dropped to the floor so we bugged out. Now, I see we were supposed to end it with goodbye and I'm sure there's a spirit in that apartment complex.
Three things to take note of: 1. The tv on in the background showing static 2. It begins with what we think is real, but it was Lilia's dream. She wakes everyone up to tell them the Seven are here. 3. The aspect ratio didn't change this time I'm also just going to mention a few movies here... Mulholland Drive, Paranormal Activity, Fight Club, Inception, Nightmare on Elm Street
So are you theorizing this whole Episode is Lillia's Vision/Dream?! OH I HOPE SO! OH! Lillia's random visions through episodes 2-4 make so much sense now Ep 6 will reveal this was LILLIA's TRIAL the whole time!! Oh that is Brilliant if it's true!
Omgggg I was literally yelling at the end showing the crown and the Billie song was iconic !!! 🎉I can’t wait to see the next episode !! By the way your reaction was great !!🙌🏼
15:50 - does seem that the spell on Teen also wore off - as Agatha gets this 'evil' attitude at the end, and knew who his mother was (but also - he started off still at least 'acting' like he was apart of the group, firstly trying to not let the go after Agatha, when the ghost asked them to leave her, then just saying 'I dont want to be a witch then' - straight into - using his powers.
Aubrey Plaza is definitely playing Lady Death. She was busy collecting Alice’s body at the end of the episode. I can’t wait to see her fight with Wiccan.
My only gripe with this episode is its length. It's so short. I am used to Marvel Disney+ shows with short runtimes but this episode is very short. As in short. Or maybe the pacing is just fast? Poor Alice.
For those viewers who want to understand the full implications of the reveal, but didnt quite understand, spoilers below: The implication, Billy put the sigil on himself. It broke when Agatha figured out who he is. This confirms he is Demiurge Wiccan, the embodiment of good chaos magic on Earth, (or should I say Billy Kaplan, the reincarnation of Billy Maximoff, Wanda's son.) And he just deemed the rest of the Coven unworthy to finish the witches' road with him.
@@sebro7229 Wiccan due to the crown which basically says he was related to Wanda. The Sigil is very much likely broken the moment he was torn the moment he found what he was looking for, power. He had power the moment he was reminded of who his mother truly was.
@@sebro7229 Demiurge is the name his power gave itself in the comics. The only way for there to be a "Scarlet Witch" when Wanda rewrote reality again after House of M was for a second source of Chaos magic, other than the author of the Darkhold, to be created. Billy is that source. Since the Darkhold was destroyed in Dr Strange: MoM, the only way for Billy to have powers, and the only hope for Wanda, is if they stayed true to his comic book counterpart. Now the only issue is the exact method of bringing back the Scarlet Witch. Personally we think Victor Von Doom has already done it, and Billy will ultimately get nothing from the road, but we will see.
You keep copying and pasting this everywhere. There is not good or bad chaos magic. There’s just chaos magic. It has no alignment. Because it’s _chaos._
Seeing Billy with that crown at the end I honestly do see a resemblance to Wanda. Now I cannot wait to see the actual Billy doing stuff now, he was definitely putting on an innocent act and at the end Agatha caught onto it. I wasn’t expecting him to put the other 2 in the mud as well but I wonder what happens to them now
It’s going to be a long week. Also while the screeching was going on Lillia screams “I hated this the first time around” or something close. Could they do a time reversal and go through the trials again but with better outcomes, for example Sharon survives or they don’t bring her in the first place, Teen doesn’t get injured and Alice survives? Lillia also said she reads time. Ahhh This show just keeps giving us questions! Part of me likes that it wasn’t just released all at once but I also hate having to wait. Thanks!
I wonder something. We know the witches sent away will have to make it back to the road, maybe they will use the door they left open making it so they will have to do this trial again which is why it was so short? Maybe Alice's spirit will be the one summoned and she will have something to say for her death
THEORY TIME! THIS IS Lillia's TRIAL! Divination! We are literally seeing what could be a bad ending like in a visual novel series! The episode begins with Lillia waking up! And if you apply all the random things shes been saying since Ep2 IT MAKES SENSE! This whole episode is her vision of how the Coven Fails! And Ep 6 will be about her PREVENTING IT!
@@decusq Hey thats the fun of this kind of show. Go crazy with some theories just never expect too much or you'll get disappointed. We do know her trail has to be coming soon though
In episode 2 we saw a rat, a crow/raven, and a wolf/coyote following Agatha around town. Here we see a fox, a snake, an owl, and the crow/raven again..... the 7th might be those bugs that came out of her mouth
I said this on another video but...my crazy theories- 1. Billy is making them repeat the road endlessly until they get it right. Each time they fail (likely due to Agatha), he kills them and makes them reset the road. And they've likely already done it several times, that's why Lilia keeps getting "premotions". They're part premonition, part flashback. 2. The Salem Seven are after Billy, NOT Agatha. Perhaps they are the guardians of the Witches' Road and are after him for his abuse of it? That's why they attack him at the house and why they attack him on the road in this episode. Perhaps the Sigil was an attempt to shield him from them? Perhaps it's to keep Agatha from catching on to who he is for as long as they can. Maybe it's burned them in a past road attempt? 3. I think Rio is involved, which is why she wasn't present at the end (it would give it away if she were there and he didn't possess/kill her or at least attempt to, so they leave her out of it to avoid the issue altogether). Perhaps Billy went to her (Death) to bring his mother back and she's told him the only way to get her back is to walk the raod? But both Billy and Rio have said and done a lot of things that are essentially spelling out to Agatha what to do next. They both are already clearly manipulating her, so it would make a lot of sense if there were a large reason to it.
lilias seeing the possibility of a failed trial she is the one who may save agatha she can either tell them the outcome of her vision and save her or not tell anyone
I think all their reactions and callousness to Alice who had been kind to them all pushed him to the edge. He couldn't allow witches like to get their prize so long as they were gonna be like that.
@@lightdarksoul2097 is Wiccan a mutant ?? just wonder if they would make him that way and if by he seeing that "stressful moment" awakens his mutant abilities..
@@lazypaulreact Hmm it is unclear if Wanda was a mutant her powers seem fully magical in origins she was destined for this and her father didn't seem to be magneto. Wiccan if this is the same one from wandavision is made of something else than just a hex so we'll find that out later. I don't see him being a mutant in the same way wolverine or ms marvel are
I actually think we’ll be getting the yellow trial next. Every episode has foreshadowed the next trial. The leaves at the beginning were blue and the roots glowed blue. The first trial was water. When they landed on the road again, the leaves and roots were reddish orange for fire, then we had the fire trial. After that, they were purple, Agatha’s spirit trial. At the end of this last episode, they were yellow. The air trial. Lilia is the air witch, so I strongly believe she, Jen, and Agatha will be coming back next episode.
Agatha made a deal to get the draining power and she may have not known that she can’t control it, sounds like a Maphisto deal where you get what you want but he wants you to suffer for it, sounds like a Johnny Blaze deal.
Let's not forget Teen used the Ouija board by himself when he got Nicholas Scratch. So we can't rule out that he's now possessed, having escaped from the beyond. Additionally, once they left the trial, you notice that she's acting much differently? I think she's possessed as well, potentially by Rio.
She seems to have no control over her syphoning other witches when they hit her with their own magic. I think it is on auto pilot as a self-defense. And I can see her mother while knowing it's out of her control using the death of Agatha's son to convince everyone she is evil and needs to be executed. She probably assumed Agatha wouldn't be able to absorb all of their magic if it was a lot of strong witches all at once. But they were horribly wrong, and only made Agatha ultra powerful, but feared witch branded as evil. But her true self shows in fact she didn't kill the kids. Unfortunately, with such a powerful ability out of her control, and all stories others hear without her side......I fear she's doomed to be forever branded as evil. Even if it's out of her control. Same as Wanda when she made hex. Sometimes it seems just cause it's your magic/power doesn't mean you have control. The price of being a powerful witch seems to be your magic will act independently to protect you. Great for the witch as keeps them safe, but also isolates them an gets them branded as evil. Thankfully we have more ep cause this like half way point, so maybe we'll see others come to learn and understand. And in doing so making a place for Wanda to safely return. To a coven of witches who cam finally understand. I've not read comics, but perhaps this why they such good friend in comics cause Agatha sees herself in Wanda. But Agatha can now try to save Wanda from suffering same fate as her. This episode did everything but verbalise that Teen is Billie, and I guess can assume Tommy with White Vision which we'll see when his show comes out after this one. Also last tangent: I think Agatha swirling Alice's magic was her trying see if she can give it back, but unfortunately if it's not her purple it just fizzles out. Seems she can only take/syphon, but not give/return it. Leaving her unable to revive Alice (even though she didn't seem as tucked dry as Salem 7 who tried kill Agatha)
I think by "born evil" her mother means her auto pilot syphoning ability. Its a scary ability, and no one seems to know or understand it. Maybe her mom found out trying to put a protection on her, but Agatha even as newborn started syphoning and she just tossed her away stopping it cause she only a newborn, but of course her mom deemed her evil as result. And thats followed her for life. Her own mothen then her coven all branded her evil instead of embracing an teaching her and accepting her like a coven should a young witch.
I’m curious as to where Rio was at the ending of the episode. If she’s still back in the trial area with Alice’s body that’s very interesting considering who her character really is.
I’m not convinced this is actually Agatha’s trial. In every other trial so far, the witch it was about was the one that actually did the thing. Agatha did nothing, it was all Teen so I think it somehow was his trial. Or it was all fake somehow.
@@DBFANreal I'll say it's the Green Witch's trial = Rio. The first thing Rio said that the trial is Agatha's. However, since they shared a lot of time together, the places Agatha's familiar with may very well be connected to Rio. The ouija board spelled DEATH first and Rio laughed. She also got real mad when the ghost appeared and even more mad when it was Agatha's mom who's coming to take her own daughter away from her - while Rio wants Agatha's body to collect for herself. Jen said "There's no flood here, there's no fire..." Then they got buried in the mud later on which can only mean that it's Earth. Also, 4 episodes more - it's all a ruse to catch us off guard.
I think next episode were going to see Rio's identity/ connection with death maybe. The whole show has been creating subtle links between her and death and now shes was the only one not blasted into the grass because shes with Alice dead body. I think she's going to take that body and do whatever she needs to do as like maybe a grim reaper type thing.
Two sets of power were awakened Agatha and Billy's. Fits the title of the episode. I've rewatched it. I think that Agatha siphoned Nicholas power and killed him lead to her mother and coven to try and execute her. "Momma stop."
Teen/Billy is being used as an agent. Agatha does not purposely strain other witches power. It's only when they use their power to attack her. That's why she said the only way I can take someone's power if they attack me and that's why you are going to need discipline. She didn't mean to kill Alice.

I made a joke earlier today on my Instagram story and this episode was the reveal is crazy. I put “it was Joe all along”🤣 and with the recap video. I put that because he looked like Agatha during the reveal scene when she was the one asking Wanda questions behind the camera.
Agatha's exact words were "blast me," not "attack me." As in, "if you use magic on me without my consent (be it for good or for ill), I will be able to take it for myself."
if you'd go back again watching wandavision, the scene where agatha is in salem days where her mother and other witches was trying to kill her, you can hear her say that she can't control it. this episode proves it even more that when other witches blast her with power, she can't control it, she will just keep on sucking. and it's kinda sad because you can really see that way back then she never wanted to suck the life out of her mother, she even take the pendant and still keeps it, and you can see her in this episode how sad she is saying that if her mother does hate her still, and you can also see how regretful and sad she is when alice died because of her. no one believes her so i guess her just accepting what other people told her who is she is (evil witch) and portraying it, feels better for her i guess? than to spend most of her time trying to prove that she's not what other people think she is.
Agatha, pleading for the coven to not leave her with her mother, repeats the line she said to her mother before killing her and their original coven: "I can be good." GREAT WRITING!

What her mom said, killing Alice, and teens reaction to her actually hurt her and you can see her villainous mask slip back on all the way.
It’s like a self fulfilling prophecy
Playing a Billie Eilish song for Billy at the end was perfection

The reveal that Agatha doesn't fully control her power is so terrifying because, what if that's what happened to her son? What if Nicky's power activated and Agatha couldn't stop herself from sucking it in? And then Rio had to take him despite Agatha's pleading.
Oh no....
I can definitely see that's happening

I wholeheartedly agree with you, which is what made this latest switch to masked bravado so sad, because Agatha and Billy very clearly cared about each other, but Billy has had people constantly in his ear telling him she's evil which he tries to ignore only for her to end up killing his friend, while Agatha is used to people thinking the worst of her only for her to meet someone who genuinely admires her but then shit hits the fan and ends up coming to same conclusion people usually
agatha telling teen take the training wheels off when he lost his spell book at the beginning of the episode and then having the reveal at the end
@@lightdarksoul2097 Yep, and even before she did everything to them, at the start of the trial they were ready to punish her...
The screeching heard in my house at the end of this episode. We were not ready.
My theory - Agatha could never control her power since birth. Everyone assumed she was evil because of this, like she was sucking people’s energy on purpose, and how she is now is just hurt by everyone who turned on her. I think her overcoming her inability to control her power is what she’ll ask for at the end of the road
Yeah, agree ☝️
She became bitter and "evil" because that's what everyone saw her as, so she just leaned into it because what else was she supposed to do.
Agatha reminds me a little of Sylvie. Both had to learn to protect themselves, and of course, create their own pyramid of values while survive.
I'm gonna be honest, when watching this ep the first time I thought the board was spelling "Mr. Shart".
Glad it wasn't just me 😂
Lmao same XD I thought Agatha was just being an ass XD
😂😂😂 Me too! I was like "who the hell is Mr. Shart?!"
I actually thought it was looking like it would be Mrs HarKNESS. But she did come in at the end.
It seems everyone did that.
Rio stayed after, to collect her body
I think the "ages 3 and up" is a reference to how "old" Teen is. Wanda created Billy three years ago in WandaVision. He can play because it's for ages 3 and up.
19:00 the deal with Rio being Death, also is she HATED ghosts (which is a deal with Death not claiming the soul), and when Agatha's mother said she wanted Agatha, Rio strongly said "you can't have her" as to say "she is mine to reap."
I think the “you can’t have her” was more her ex defending her. I’m sure Agatha told Rio her backstory with her mom.
The Blood Moon is sometimes known as the Crimson Moon. It’s the same meaning since crimson is the specific red color for blood.
More importantly, Alice was a real one but she paid a price that apparently even Agatha didn’t agree to.
i havent felt this way since wandavision. we are so back

The Billy reveal at the end... just chills every time I see it.
17:17 also using a Billie's song to reveal Billy, that's smart.
'For ages 3 and up' is an incredibly cheeky foreshadow.
@@dirtsa2828 Thats the fun in a show like this
@@dirtsa2828 But a sigil is a reduction spell (courtesy to Lillia)...idk tho, all your points seem to align with what I believe too, except for the sigil part.
Billy/Wiccan exists in her universe now )
How did Agatha knowwww 😮 Awesome reveal!
If Teen was Agatha's son, he wouldn't have been able to say the name "Nicholas Scratch". Remember in episode 2, Agatha couldn't hear him say his name.
I agree too. The aspect ratio did not change. That is a big clue. It changed in the last two trials. Something is up.
Rio was completely missing during the confrontation at the end, which made me think it wasn't entirely real.
@@ProfArmitage218 wonder if she stayed with the body, since she is lady death
I agree with everything except Agatha not being able to guess who Billy is. A random teen with magic shows up in the same place Wanda held captive who has a sigil to protect his identity? That's already suspicious, and then at the end, he acts like Wanda does, which prompts Agatha to realize 'you're just like mother.'
Teen just went John Wick on the rest of the coven. For Sparky!
25:45 the eyes of Jennifer and Lilly were blue, so either the Night King has moved franchises or it was Wiccan controlling them.
It's obviously wiccan controlling them
Ok, this comment made me laugh.
04:51 my sentiments exactly😂
Three things to take note of:
1. The tv on in the background showing static
2. It begins with what we think is real, but it was Lilia's dream. She wakes everyone up to tell them the Seven are here.
3. The aspect ratio didn't change this time
I'm also just going to mention a few movies here...
Mulholland Drive, Paranormal Activity, Fight Club, Inception, Nightmare on Elm Street
I think the TV is more of a reference to poltergeist along with how Agatha looks, certain sound effects and more.

I used to Ouija with a friend of mine. We had a couple of strange experiences to where she didn’t want to do it anymore.
Poor Alice.
For those viewers who want to understand the full implications of the reveal, but didnt quite understand, spoilers below:
The implication, Billy put the sigil on himself.
Sorry how does this at all imply that he but the sigil on himself and that it's broken? How does this confirm "demiurge wiccan" as well?
@@sebro7229they said in an interview that he did put it on himself

Now I cannot wait to see the actual Billy doing stuff now, he was definitely putting on an innocent act and at the end Agatha caught onto it. I wasn’t expecting him to put the other 2 in the mud as well but I wonder what happens to them now
I think Billy either lost control of his powers due to his emotions or Agatha activated a defence spell
I’m going to miss Alice 😞. I was loving Billy connecting to Alice over all these episodes. Great ending to the episode though!
Thanks!

Another manner of killing witches in this episode at the end, buried alive.
drowned (Water), burned (Fire), buried alive (Earth) = Rio, by Episode 7 will be Lilia's (Air) then Agatha by Episode 8 for sure.
I wonder something. We know the witches sent away will have to make it back to the road, maybe they will use the door they left open making it so they will have to do this trial again which is why it was so short? Maybe Alice's spirit will be the one summoned and she will have something to say for her death

@@decusq Hey thats the fun of this kind of show. Go crazy with some theories just never expect too much or you'll get disappointed. We do know her trail has to be coming soon though

They both are already clearly manipulating her, so it would make a lot of sense if there were a large reason to it.
i agree with this
Agree, the sigil is from Wanda, to protect him.
lilias seeing the possibility of a failed trial she is the one who may save agatha she can either tell them the outcome of her vision and save her or not tell anyone

This episode was very surprising, I was imagining that things would start to get faster only at the end, but this series is very good. 💙
Let's not forget Teen used the Ouija board by himself when he got Nicholas Scratch. So we can't rule out that he's now possessed, having escaped from the beyond. Additionally, once they left the trial, you notice that she's acting much differently? I think she's possessed as well, potentially by Rio.
The moment I saw the word 'Darkest' in the title, I immediately knew it was going to be Agatha's episode. Cuz, 'dark' magic.
You’re a good guy Omni.
Another great reaction
It's crazy because Lilia was trying to tell Alice to don't to try save Agatha
What a cliffhanger! When I saw the sparks, I got chills.
I was not expecting the reveal so soon I've already know that was Billy the reveal was cool, I was expecting in episode 7 or 8
Dang it! Alice became my favourite after last week :(
I’m not convinced this is actually Agatha’s trial. In every other trial so far, the witch it was about was the one that actually did the thing. Agatha did nothing, it was all Teen so I think it somehow was his trial. Or it was all fake somehow.
I think it's Lilia's Trial, when she see what happen if the coven is broken and try to prevent it
@@DBFANreal I'll say it's the Green Witch's trial = Rio.
*Agatha All Along* Episodes Ranked (so far)

What if it's been Billy All Along ??
I made a joke earlier today on my Instagram story and this episode was the reveal is crazy. I put “it was Joe all along”🤣 and with the recap video. I put that because he looked like Agatha during the reveal scene when she was the one asking Wanda questions behind the camera.
The flowers are Golden at the End of the Episode, too. Which means Lilia's Trial is next.
12:21 "Agatha's fart?!" What the heck😅
5:09 I love her😂😂
Agatha's exact words were "blast me," not "attack me." As in, "if you use magic on me without my consent (be it for good or for ill), I will be able to take it for myself."
finally, I just watched like a few minutes ago
And yeah, Rio is definitely Death. Every time someone brings up Death, she laughs or like does a look etc.
@Omn1Media They already revealed that the Green witch is really "Death" with the Funko Pop realse and Forbes article informing about that
I love my fellow real-life Wiccans and Scarlet Witch disciples being absolutely giddy at Billy’s MCU coming out 🎉
Wiccan🔮💙
i was not going to pick you but the thumbnail got me LOL!
if you'd go back again watching wandavision, the scene where agatha is in salem days where her mother and other witches was trying to kill her, you can hear her say that she can't control it. this episode proves it even more that when other witches blast her with power, she can't control it, she will just keep on sucking. and it's kinda sad because you can really see that way back then she never wanted to suck the life out of her mother, she even take the pendant and still keeps it, and you can see her in this episode how sad she is saying that if her mother does hate her still, and you can also see how regretful and sad she is when alice died because of her. no one believes her so i guess her just accepting what other people told her who is she is (evil witch) and portraying it, feels better for her i guess? than to spend most of her time trying to prove that she's not what other people think she is.
I can't believe Thomas Lennon (and you lol) were nearby, but I had to slave away at work
I don’t think Agatha’s power grab worked? Alice’s orange power appeared but then it seemed to dissipate in a little cloud of smoke.
